I have heard there was a significant amount of Jews within in the city of Pompeii and several of the surrounding cities. A bathhouse in Pompeii contained pic related as well of some other sexual scenes.
Were these depictions common in bathhouses around the Roman Empire, or is it unique to Pompeii? And is there any evidence of theses images being the work of the Jews who lived within the city?
