Jordan B Peterson with Stefan "Molymeme" Molyneux talking about Sorting Yourself Out

Video here:

Jordan namedropped John Taylor Gatto who I've been promoting here for years now, he wrote great books about the fucked up education system in the west (based on the Prussian system), his books are free online if you do a quick search.

I'll dump a handful of my JBP memes in the meantime.

OP's can't bump their own threads so I'd appreciate it if someone would bump this thread if they're currently watching the video.

I wonder if anyone would be interested in a Sup Forums watched Pinnochio livestream.

...

Good stuff OP.
Watching now.

...

There's a Peterson meme I've been looking for for a while but I can't remember which one it is at the moment...

Thanks for the bump friend.
I really need to buy my little brother a login for the Self-Authoring program, then find a way to get him to do it. Maybe bribe him. He just graduated high school and he's already drifting down a bad path of low conscientiousness and community college.

I love this image because it reminds me of the Maps of Meaning game idea I was kicking around in a thread half a year ago.

Was it this one? Because I really like this one.

bump, needs to be seen more.

I've never gotten into Jordan Peterson and my room is always a little bit messy

I'll give it a watch

Thanks for the bump man. I think this is actually even better than Molymeme's first talk with JBP since they're covering more topics and current JBP projects than just going over the metaphysics of Maps of Meaning.

Also the list of SJW college courses is only 1 month from dropping, according to this video. We should see it sometime in August depending on when this was filmed.

those bloody postmodernists don't stand a chance

The Joe Rogan interviews are a great launching point if you're not big on Stefan Molyneux.

If you're interested in his courses the order is Psychology and its Transformations, then Maps of Meaning. He also has a great book Maps of Meaning that goes into way more detail.

The Self-Authoring program is a tool for sorting yourself out, it costs money but it's very worth it.

For (You).

It's a shame Sup Forums doesn't shove JBP down newfags' throats more often. Saving the West needs to happen at the level of the individual.

Bump for Dr. P

My favorite speaker around

Back in January I got mine and gave it to one of my little brothers who has still not done it. This time I think I'm going to give it to one of my cousins and a different little brother, but I'll bribe him to make sure he actually does it.

I'll watch it, but what's the significance?

best five our you will ever spend, anons.

Yeah, he was curious why schools hadn't already cottoned on to the stuff he'd figured out with his Self Authoring experiments and during his investigations he ran into John Taylor Gatto. He gave a quick rundown and Molyneux pointed out that his books are available online, specifically calling out "Weapons of Mass Instruction".

Thanks for the links, will watch.

prepare the pen and paper, they literally reference hundreds of things. it focuses on the origin of modern education and how the globalists have set everything up. so many "redpilled" people don't have a clue about any of that stuff. i'm gonna post his books in a couple of minutes, there are pdfs on the internet.
dude was a school teacher all his life (worker both with poor nigs and in rich elite schools) and he basically wrote books how modern education is a scam and how to fix it. it's mind blowing stuff.

Does this guy have anything to do with, "History is a weapon" by chance?

in the interview they also talk about carroll quigley . those of you who don't know who he is need to familiarize yourself with his work. he wrote "the anglo-american Establishment" and a monumental book called "tragedy & hope: a history of the world in our time".

just watch the interview and you will understand. it can literally change your life.

john taylor gatto's youtube channel. it's a collection of his lectures.
youtube.com/user/johntaylorgatto/videos

watch it and inform yourself, that shit is important to know. you will not regret it, trust me.

I greatly appreciate you taking the time to put this information out there. John Taylor Gatto was one of my first redpills from /new/ back in the day when I was in college, which then put me onto Tragedy & Hope by Carroll Quigley.

How do you mean? I googled the phrase and Howard Zinn (may he burn in hell forever with all the other postmodern neo-marxists) popped up.

If you have any books by that man, burn them.

also read quigley's - the evolution of civilizations: an introduction to historical analysis
i literally never see that book mentioned on Sup Forums when people post books that deal with civilizations. quigley was just took good at his job.

I particularly enjoy this one

watching the video now

too*

Oh absolutely. Bill Clinton took one of his courses, I believe at Harvard, and mentioned him by name during a speech, I think when he declared he was running for President. Bill of course took Quigley's analysis of the global powerstructure and used it as a map to get himself on the Council of Foreign Relations, I think.

Saved for later viewing. Thank you! I'm especially interested in Gatto, mostly because I came to similar conclusions long before I heard of him.

tangent: I felt the same way about Darwinian evolution. As in, it's fucking self-evident and obvious, so much that I knew it before I knew it, so to speak

The best part about Gatto is everything is meticulously cited and sourced, so you can take his arguments and use them as they are without any need for further research unless you want to.

Don't let your intelligence make you hubristic. Pride goeth before a fall. If you want to be humbled read anything by NN Taleb.

>Jordan namedropped John Taylor Gatto
I fucking knew it. Massive redpill here:

youtube.com/watch?v=YQiW_l848t8

Damnit you fukcing beat me to it.

To supplement what has said, the American elite-tooled the Prussian ethic to create the modern American public school system, while the Ivy League-Anglo Pragmatists created a master morality based on Calvinism, Darwinism, and the Will-to-Power that is effectively the rebirth of the old Norse ethos. They use this 'moralenfrei' approach to justify the subjugation of the masses.

Do we have a John Taylor Gatto infographic yet?

Absolutely astonishing video. Had me holding back tears. Will listen again later and I will buy the past authoring.

Why did girls bully me ;_; I just wanted to play tag.

Don't think so. I learned about him from one of my English teachers.

Someone needs to ask him if he faps on his next Q&A. He counter signaled porn very harshly.

You need to figure out why you were bullied. Really think about it and figure out how to avoid it in the future. You shouldn't be having a strong emotional reaction to something that happened more than 18 months ago.

He has a wife and he's, what, almost 60? I doubt it. I don't think he's wrong on porn, either. There really is nothing noble about it.

Watching now.

same desu senpai, gonna reflect on this.

Why is Sup Forums so obsessed with an average liberal boomer, just because he doesn't say Xir and cites Jung? Did you all grow up without a father?

Thanks for the bump.
I'm out of sorted JBP memes, I have more but they're buried in a few gigabytes of other downloaded images.

Taleb was mediocre author, but he sort of jumped the shark after his third or fourth book.

Yeah, we get it, you made a shit ton of money being long gamma on some dog shit options. I agree that we should embrace uncertainty. But I'm wary when a member of the tribe (honorary as is custom on Wall Street) is giving me advice. I can almost see the nose peaking behind the curtain

Today 1 in 4 children under the age of 18 — a total of about 17.2 million — are being raised without a father4 and almost half 40% live below the poverty line.5

4 U.S. Census Bureau – Table C2.

5 U.S. Census Bureau – Table C8.
Poverty Status, Food Stamp Receipt, and Public Assistance for Children Under 18 Years by Selected Characteristics: 2016.

singlemotherguide.com/single-mother-statistics/

These are just current numbers and don't take into account victims of divorce in the previous 3 decades. Mothers get custody in almost all cases of divorce leading to the children being raised without a father.

>Did you all grow up without a father?

Yes, we did.
Having a beta cuck as father is as good as being raised by a single mom.
Our generation is so deeply fucked, fun times ahead.

First, he's GenX not Boomer. He was a young adult in the 80s-90s, not 60s-70s. The only liberal position I've seen him advocate for was freedom of speech, which I as an anti-Liberal wholeheartedly agree with.

He's probably the single most knowledgeable person on the planet, ever, about randomness and how it works. He also invented/discovered the concept of anti-fragility which is a major leap in understanding of how randomness affects systems, which is remarkable considering that people have been thinking about randomness for a bloody long time.

I actually found him in one of my Anthropology textbooks (required class) three years ago, when it cited Maps of Meaning as an important text. He is one of the last great generalist thinkers, most of these guys have progressively died out in the 20th century (Jung being foremost among them).

Oops, thought you were talking about Peterson. Nvm

>You need to figure out why you were bullied.
Thing is I didn't do anything more than be vulnerable, yes you should never be vulnerable but I was always thought to be nice.
>be 13
>come from another country
>still adapting to native culture and language
>be fucking around in the grass during recess
>some girls (a nigger with huge tits and a white "librarian" type) come over and ask me to play tag
>get exited :) first friends in New country!
>We play tag for 3 days, always during recess and when they tell me to stop I do so, smile say thank you.
>4th day we play for no more than 3 minutes
>they start screaming at me to stop chasing them
>I'm completely confused, ignore then and go lay in the grass until recess is over
>get called to the principal's office
>police officer is standing next to the principal with a hand on his hip (maybe it was his gun, I don't remember)
>talk to me about not raping girls and how if this happens again I'm going straight to jail (principal was female)
>completely petrified for the next few days
>see those same girls giggling at me as I lay alone in the grass trying to figure out what the fuck I did wrong.
I know it was their malice and girls being total Bitches but I can't help but to keep thinking of that and of another time where I lay on the grass and some fat bitch (friends with the girls) spit on me. I went to the principal and she didn't even put them on Saturday school or anything. No punishment. I felt completely victimized. I was lucky I didn't become an edgy emo kid during high school.

> (You)
>He has a wife and he's, what, almost 60? I doubt it. I don't think he's wrong on porn, either. There really is nothing noble about it.
Kek. I was mostly curious. I'd like to see him go deeper into that subject. I don't have as big an issue with it as most people on Sup Forums do. I can go a week no trouble.

>Did you all grow up without a father?
I grew up without a real man for a father and had to learn many painful lessons on my own. And that's not even getting into all the lessons I STILL haven't learned.

Didn't realize he sold Maps in book form. Thanks

>isn't a liberal

>civ nat
>anti-antisemite
>repeats not only remember the six million, but lampshade memes
>anti-nativist
>shits on alt-right and pro-white people
What's more he unironically said in the interview with Tara conservatives should drop their in-group preference to ally with the muslims, because they share the same values.

This is one of the many horrendous examples why I dislike Peterson. He has no clue about our struggle at all. He neither understands it fully, nor did he understand the generational switch. He is good for the alt light, but certainly not for ethno-nationalists.

No worries man. It's interesting that Maps of Meaning was cited as a very important text in an Anthropology textbook. I've never heard what other academics think of JBP's book.

>father wasnt strong enough
This. I almost wish mine was a drunk asshole, at least it would have toughened me up a bit.

Yeah he published Maps of Meaning in 1999, and it's free as a PDF on his website.

damn, molymeme is still fucking hard to watch. it'll take me some attempts to watch this in its entirety.

I've had similar issues with my sister, she is a bloody marxist and I've been trying to help her get away from all that and sort herself out. Here's some insight that helped me and might also help you
youtube.com/watch?v=7_v_scypjds
youtube.com/watch?v=JzkXZAD_cT8

I disagree, I think MoM is the best lecture series to start with. Would love to hear your reasoning though.

politics isn't really the issue here mate. personally i've quite literally turned my life around these past 4 months and I've got mostly the good professor to thank for that.

nofap is different to noporn mate

He's absolutely not an anti-nativist and he doesn't think conservatives should embrace muslims, he merely pointed out that muslims are by nature traditionalists which aligns with conservative philosophy. Left unsaid is that it's not Western Conservativism, but barbarism.

How did you uncuck yourself?

For anyone who really enjoys Peterson and Jung you need to take the final green pill and go down the esoteric route.

Start with Manly P Hall The Secret Teachings of all Ages, then start reading Morals and Dogma to get a look into Freemasonry. After that start looking in astrotheology, alchemy, and hermeticism.

youtube.com/watch?v=cyzX-Gj43Gk

You need to understand The Shadow. Not everyone has your best interests in mind and some ARE malicious and out to abuse you if they can get away with it. The solution is to figure out how to recognize that malice and figure out how to be in the world where you're not vulnerable to that kind of abuse. That's particularly difficult with female abusers in the west, since they have the state 100% on their side. Go look up some MGTOW stuff, JUST to find out how to avoid being abused by a woman, but leave most of the women hating stuff there. You don't want to close yourself off to all opportunities for meaningful relationships with women, just learn how to avoid the bear traps.

>green pill
My man! I've got a whole folder of this stuff, guess I'll dump that now.

Better explanation but mislabeled as Red Pill.

Sounds like this was mildly traumatic because it didn't fit at all with your expectations about the motivations of other people. How do you play games, i.e. how do cooperate with others in a social setting? What struck me is how you never did anything to defend yourself. Being in front of the principal gives you a chance for a (semi-fair) hearing. Part of the reason why the girl didn't get punished for spitting on you is because you weren't hanging out with friends who could back up your story, and in fact that's why you were targeted. Because you were alone in the grass, an easy target. You instead respond by turning inward, questioning if you did anything wrong, when you should be looking for ways to improve your position in society. That's how you play the game.

Civ nat: he is working within the context of the status quo, which is civ nat. You can't get anywhere arguing against Bill C-16 from an Ethnonationalist position.

Anti-antisemite: Antisemitic speech is against the law in Canada. He could be summoned in front of a Social Justice Tribune (kek). He reads Dostoyevsky, Solzhenitsyn, Jung, and Nietzsche ALL OF WHOM are Antisemitic (Nietzsche is a contrarian, he still recognized the infernal nature of Jews).
>never said anything about lampshades
>Has said many pro-nativist things concerning Trump and Brexit
>Barely mentions white nationalism or the "Alt right"
You have a specific set of lenses on and you are seeing what you want to see. Saying shit like
>He has no clue about our struggle at all
Proves you are too autistic to recognize a good thing when it's right in front of you.

I understand the nihilistic dark side that lays inside the MGTOW community. It's stupid to hate all women but then again it's very very easy to do so, they give you lots of reasons to.

How would you start your journey into discovering your shadow? I'm in the National Guard, I believe if it came down to it I could shoot someone dead if my life or the life of others depended on it, I think I have what it would take to kill, but then, so did Raskolnikov in crime and punishment (haven't read it yet). How would I go about finding my own shadow? I don't care if it takes me to the deepest depts of hell, I've been there before.

Burger, it is a direct, word by word quote. Deny and twist it all you want. It also fits perfectly well into all his rhetoric about the "identity politics trap the left is building for the right" and "anti-semitism is an absolutely detestable conviction to hold", etc., etc.

If you are some alt light civ nat and worship him for what he is: alright. But quite frankly: your cognitive dissonance with peterson becomes as tiresome as that with Trumpenstein. Of whom so many here believe he was working against the tribe. And how he would call them out and prepare the fourth Reich. People unironically said that shit here for months! And it's as pathetic as pretending Peterson is anything but a (classical) liberal civ nat who won't say Xir and doesn't like communist genocide. Big fucking deal!

What is weird is that the same textbook which cited Maps of Meaning is full of propaganda. Full-on
>muh globalism
>ethnonationalism is bad
>Specifically cites (((Michael Savage))) as an evil, tribalist, racist who doesn't understand the virtues of multiculturalism
Interspersed with a basic look at Anthropology terms.

Yes, he did say for example "You don't turn people into Lampshades! You just don't do that!" when talking shit about Hitler and the NatSocs.

He is secretly le red pilled on le Jews and only always appears with the tribe and references his many Jewish friends, because he is secretly plotting against them. He will call them out! Any minute now!

FFS Sup Forums

He is getting old and I hope he knows there are whole communities of people online who love his work.

>It is a frightening thought that man also has a shadow side to him, consisting not just of little weaknesses- and foibles, but of a positively demonic dynamism. The individual seldom knows anything of this; to him, as an individual, it is incredible that he should ever in any circumstances go beyond himself. But let these harmless creatures form a mass, and there emerges a raging monster; and each individual is only one tiny cell in the monster’s body, so that for better or worse he must accompany it on its bloody rampages and even assist it to the utmost. Having a dark suspicion of these grim possibilities, man turns a blind eye to the shadow-side of human nature. Blindly he strives against the salutary dogma of original sin, which is yet so prodigiously true. Yes, he even hesitates to admit the conflict of which he is so painfully aware.

I would suggest you start reading Jung, he is terribly important. Find a pdf of Archetypes and go from there. I would argue that it will also be helpful if you become symbol literate. You can look into various esoteric traditions as they all go down the same path.

Peterson talks about confronting your shadow when you know how horrible a person you really are and he is right. Good Luck

If he's wrong about something send him an email presenting your proof and correct him. I never said he was secretly plotting against them, you're a fucking retard who can't represent anyone's views properly, much less deign to understand their motivations.

>you didn't defend yourself
You're right. I didn't I stood there in awe. I had never seen a cop so close talking to me before. I thought he was going to shoot me or the principal would have sent me to jail. Crazy stuff but in the heat of the moment I was in a paranoid panic. Completely quiet, just responding yes and OK to whatever they asked me.

>Part of the reason why the girl didn't get punished for spitting on you is because you weren't hanging out with friends who could back up your story
But I didn't have any, I still don't. I've been alone for the good part of a decade. I don't know why. It's hard to talk to people about random crap. I don't like sports or gay TV shows. I like guns, exercise and deep philosophical/political conversations. I

>and in fact that's why you were targeted. Because you were alone in the grass, an easy target.

>You instead respond by turning inward, questioning if you did anything wrong, when you should be looking for ways to improve your position in society. That's how you play the game.
How do I improve my position in society. I've noticed lately after countless hours of JBP lectures that I have a problem trusting myself and my own decisions, I doubt myself. Sometimes I get told to do something and I do it half way because I'm not 100% sure what I heard was right. Im not stupid, I'm just not sure of what I know.

I wish all therapists were as smart as Jordan. I went to an army one a month ago, he basically just told me "just join a club, bee yourself ;^)"

Also fuck you user. Stop making me tear up.

>Howard Zinn
No, fuck that piece of shit, there's something else I was thinking of. Thanks anyways

JBP puts it pretty well with his "pretend you're a nazi camp guard" bit. But reading Jung and researching malevolence should be enough for you.

I assumed that was a the case which was why I was so surprised you said it was mentioned in an Anthropology book of all places. As a book the general topic is very hard to pin down since it jumps all over the place.

Thank you, user.

>How did you uncuck yourself?
I'm probably not totally uncucked, IMO. There's always a next step to take.

But there were 2 un-cucking factors, 2 that started out separate and ended up synergizing. One was experiencing those painful IRL lessons. The second was my own casual studies, where I have gobbled down anything I could about biology and the rest of the natural sciences. You get exposed to some very fundamental redpills through understanding biology.

It amazes me how much our own society is in denial about shadow/thanatos/evil

>It's hard to talk to people about random crap
It's the same way for me. Think of small talk as a way of sharpening up your conversation skills. There are some people who live and breathe intellectual thought, and it's stifling to grow up around others who don't understand that. Find the right people for it. Getting a degree is a great way of developing this.

You improve your position in society by becoming skilled at something that others value. This could be anything from gun design (get a degree in firearm engineering, I don't know), teaching, writing, computers, whatever.
Part of what helps for me is asceticism. Cutting out things from your life that you don't need, that distract you, will help you to purify your mind and allows you to focus on what you know you need to do. If you are sure that what you are doing is the sole task which requires your attention, then there is absolutely no reason to doubt yourself. Act out of will, not fear or desire.

You definitely need to get yourself some friends mate. The army shrink was right. Join a volunteer group through a church or something and get some structured interaction with people into place.

>Im not stupid, I'm just not sure of what I know.
On this topic in particular there are two things you can do:
1. Repeat back in your own words what they want you to do. This ensures that you're both on the same page and it'll help your memory because you've said it in your own words, you'll remember it both abstractly and with the muscle memory of having moved your mouth to say the words.
2. Get a notebook and write down your assignments once you've confirmed everything verbally. This will back up your memory and then you can refer back to it when you become self-conscious and doubt yourself.

If you think about it, Maps of Meaning coheres to the ideology of intersectionality. That reality isn't some objective 'thing' sitting in front of you, but array at multiple levels of structured action which conditions human action and thought. However the conclusions postmodernists draw from this is completely opposite from Jordan's, to say the least.

It goes back to the Protestant Revolution in Europe. A big part of it was throwing away the concept of Hell and acting like everyone was assured of Salvation, regardless of what they did, as long as they had faith in Christ. All well and good but when you reject Hell and Satan you throw away the archetypal symbols for evil and failure and malevolence. So how do you deal with that? Back then it led to witch hunts and superstition. Secular Historians have actually shown this through good research.

It's only gotten worse with the hedonism and anti-spirituality pushed by globalists and postmodern neo-marxists: everyone is a saint and nobody's responsible for anything bad they do, it's all society's fault!

We want order but we don't want to put in the work. An ordered and free society is only ever going to develop if people have control of themselves, if they complete the process of individuation. This is the lesson of Christ that Peterson talks about in relation to the Jews. They try to export that order to government. If humanity externalizes everything to government we will only get chaos.

Work retail for any length of time and you will see it. No one wants to accept responsibility, everything is the fault of someone else. You are correct it is depressing and is almost enough to make one turn to the dark. To accept that the individual can't govern themselves and its better to be on the side of the master and benefit. Almost

For one example, I was raised to be non-violent and to treat girls as equals, all that hippie utopian crap.

It took me until my 20s to start developing a realistic(eg paternalist type misogynist) attitude towards women. Even though I knew from at least my teens that they were less intelligent and just didn't think like us. From my reading hobby I learned about how different the male and female reproductive strategies are, and there was no turning back from that particular redpill.

Thanks Dick Dawkins, you helped me, just like JBP is helping people today

> not sorting your JBP memes
Oh user

>structured interaction
It's funny because this seems to be the only way I make friends, through classes or activities where others are "forced" to be with me. It sucks being so lonely because I'm not introverted at all. I like being loud and happy, I go to EDM concerts all the time but I never have the gall to talk to anyone.

Thing is that after I make these friends I'm the only one that wants to be around them, not them around me. I never get called or texted to be at X because the crew is going to Y. I need to become more interesting i suppose

Have any of you done the Self Authoring program? Has it helped you?

I have an excellent screencap of old Sup Forums posts about how to deal with women like you describe, but my images are sadly unsorted and I'd never find it by the time this thread expires. Glad you found someone else to help explain it to you, too.

It gets even worse: I have over 10TB of files on several hard drives and I'm only now starting to sort them logically. It's gonna be a long while before I sort my Sup Forums folders.

Don't feel bad user, you are going out and making the effort. If you make the mistake I make, and continue to make by surrounding yourself with book instead of people you will only limit yourself.
or to steal a quote from Nietzsche, who said it better.
>A light has dawned for me: I need companions, living ones, not dead companions and corpses which I carry with me wherever I wish. But I need living companions who follow me because they want to follow themselves— and who want to go where I want to go.

do you have a file naming schema or folder structure you use user?

Protip: most people are like that. You're not unique in that regard. Almost everyone makes friends by structured interaction and then as you develop the relationship, it becomes a deeper friendship where you start hanging out all the time, like your after school friends.

I've done half of the program but I need to sit down and finish it. So far I found it useful, but I'd already been doing some of the things it recommends before I found it. The less conscientious you are the more it'll help you.

>being standoffish about structured interaction
>swallowing the le so cool party animal jew
Our society overemphasises the value of unstructured interaction. Hence the decay of civil society institutions in the modern West.
