I don't think that's the reason, because he HAS criticized Russia. Joe and others just choose to ignore it. They also choose to ignore the fact that Russia is the only one on that list capable of going toe to toe with us a nuclear exchange. South Korea has a high enough GDP to be able to just use the economy and prosperity to convince them otherwise, you forget how insanely good the western world is at social engineering. Whilst theres elements of North Korea I admire over the South, if its going to unify it will need to be properly integrated. And thats a job for the south.

The logic for the attack makes sense, I'm afraid. Yes a preemptive strike on NK is hugely risky (for south Korea) and would be a terrible thing even if our first attack removes their ability to strike back. But what's worse is that rogue state developing the capability to hit the US homeland with nuclear ICBMs, a thing that is clearly their aim.
