When ww2 started, SS sodiers marched into my grandparent's hometown and rounded everyone up, sending them to concentration camps. Everyone who didn't have blue eyes was gassed on the spot, and those who were also blonde were brainwashed and recruited into this criminal organization known as the SS. Both of my grandparents had blue eyes but black hair, so they were spared and forced to work until the very end of the war when they were liberated by the Allies.

The atrocities they saw during their time there are so bad you can't even put them into words.
