Lofoten Vikingr Museum is beautiful, try and head there for the festival and make sure you climb some of the fjords, and better yet, hire a little boat to check out the beauty of the coast. Rays of sun piercing the fog across perfect white beaches, orange and black rocks, and moss the colour of the rainbow... It's an incredible experience.
I am planning a pilgrimage this year to many significant sites around Europe, including the burial area of Ingui Frey in Sweden and Uppsala. I also wish to visit the first new Asatru temple in Iceland, and of course, I will visit manifold museums and reconstructed villages and halls. Hopefully I will meet many Pagans along my quest, I'll be hitchhiking and walking to challenge myself and break myself down in order to understand the deep challenge of the harsh climes in Scandinavia and how this shaped the philosophy and spirit of our ancestors for 10,000 years.
Of course, if you really want to trace your spiritual heritage, visit the Lascoux caves in France and other beautiful stone age and neolithic sites. The art painted on walls and items recovered from these 'cavemen' Europeans is infinitely better than the best African art even today.

Were Roman Gods actually worshiped in Portugal? I looked around and as far as I know there is only the Evora temple, which was a temple to Augustus, not a "proper" God. I don't now of any other Roman Gods who were worshiped there or of any other temples, ruins or proof of Roman gods being worshiped there.
