There is only so much that can be done with editing, beyond completely faking what a person is saying with complete video manipulation (beyond editing). Almost everything they can do is just controlling which parts of what you say are shown. That's all. If everything you say is reasonable, and can't easily be broken down, there is very little they can do. You could also request that they let you tape the interview.
