On livestreams, chatters can pay to have their comment highlighted and pinned for a little while (if they donate enough). Some streamers will read out these comments on the stream, etc. It's good fun, and the content creator makes money, but google takes a large cut -- I've heard that they take 30% of superchat buys.

brave is chrome at core, but we also get to hardcode the adblocking (automated cookie-dissection etc etc), which is the only pros to the browser not being chrome.
It literally is chrome at core tough, we don't develop the core. And lot of the updates chromium has had, we've had to fix shit. the adblocking parts in particular joogle is trying to stomp permanently.
They had a new system for youtube which p much circumvented even DNS level adblocking. you should view Brave as a shell rather than a browser, we can just misdirect/redirect the chromium core in hopes of blocking it's malicious functions and improve/correct other functions
The ads we get here in norway aren't even bad, but I get so autisticaly triggered whenever they bypass my personal solutions, that i spend hours upon hours to "fix it", and fixing it means reverse engineering their shit. friend, network specialist here... Any "plugin" you ever used in a browser to mask your traffic has never done anything for you. That's a FACT. 1 cookie and HTTPS encryption is enough to ping back your real ip address, and joogle does that shit constantly.
get hardware level VPN (entire computer in your network loop / homemade router) that also constantly spoofs the mac address of the network card.

also, what pings back your real ip address / identity is
A) Cookies that give your network adapters and your computers hardware id to them B) Systems that fish info from A), which cross-examines it with traffic from all isps which go trough joogles nodes (not bullshit), which in turn shows your true ip address streamed from your ISP.
You're just streaming info to your vpn from your isp, and that's allways interfaced by the modem/router you have from your isp. The network card your modem has essentially is a backdoor, and the entire system (specially fiber networks) compose security entirely based on encrypted traffic that is whitelisted by, i sure you would never have guessed this, but EXCLUSIVELY THE MAC-ADDRESS OF YOUR MODEM/ROUTER

There's no way to "relay" an ip through cookies or whatever bullshit he's talking about. If there is, he's the only person who knows about it. That would make VPNs useless. The only thing I know of that resembles this is called device fingerprinting, which could allow for a website to match you with an IP address that you have used during a previous connection.
