I switched to Duckduckgo a while ago, then switched to Startpage since I felt Google had better results for images, but then I saw how much they were censoring said results so I went back to Duckduckgo while having Startpage as an alternate engine. I think my current setup works fine.

I currently use Pale Moon, it crashed CONSTANTLY for me at first but a recent update seems to have fixed whatever was causing it. Without the crashes I think it's decent, very lightweight compared to Chrome. I haven't used vanilla Firefox for any extended period of time though so I'm not sure how it directly compares. I've heard people say it's comparatively bloated but can't verify it myself.
