He did NOT invent AC. In fact, he studied AC power in school.
He did NOT build a death ray. There is zero evidence for any such nonsense.
He did NOT figure out how to "beam free energy" into people's homes. He experimented with the idea of charging the ionosphere, but his experiments weren't going anywhere and then his funding was pulled.
Edison did NOT steal from him or cheat him. He was being a twit and Edison fired him.
What did Tesla actually do? Well, he invented radio and the concept of remote control. That's certainly impressive. Marconi actually used electrical devices of Tesla's design for his initial broadcasts. The radio-control didn't go anywhere because nobody in the military (to whom he tried to sell it) understood what he was talking about.
In the end, the guy has ZERO significant patents. He was great in a lab, clever, brilliant, but he absolutely sucked at business. Edison was all of those things and also good at business. Naturally Edison came out on top.
Once again, we would have AC power if Tesla never lived. It existed before he came along. I'm not trying to shit all over your hero, but please get a little perspective.
