I miss inline skating and roller rinks.

people had conversations face to face, it was very distressing

90s kid here

everything was much more simple. no phones. no SJW. people had common sense

more anal

I miss seeing everyone talk to each other and not silently glued to their phones.

> no sjw

You just werent aware.

I was a kid in the 80s, and a teenager in the 90s
I used to be able to play out in the neighborhood with my friends until the street lights came on, we used to also walk like 3 miles to the mall, there was no pc takeover like today, you just weren't allowed to say nigger but faggot was a-ok
People didn't act all offended, and were really against marijuana, it was a different time

Music still mostly sucked and ya had to go back to the 60's for good tunes unless you were a disco or pop 40 geek. People were not nearly as degenerate as they are now and for the most part still showed basic manners. Computers were just starting to come out. Even microwave ovens and answering machines and beepers were hot shit if you had one. Business and real estate were booming. Seemed the cash cows would never die but they did circa 2009. Yes, my life was better than it is today, chiefly because there was hope.

equally pozzed with a total lack of awareness

I was a kid in the 90s. All I remember was actually going outside to play with kids. Seriously American children don't do this anymore, least not that I can find. Parks are always empty, no kids in the streets playing basketball...Everyone is at home filling time with entertainment. Nobody socializes

Uh... the 70's much better than 80s or 90s.
I was comatose drunk most of the 80's

yeah i consume media from the 80s and 90s, and it pops up here and there. even the "whtie male" stuff. like in neil gaimans sandman.

>not being allowed to drink milk right after Chernobyl in 1986
>answering the rotary family phone with your last name and "Hello" in 1985
>getting my first Leika camera in 1986 with a precious 24 film lasting 3 weeks
>learning Russian in school because "muh Soviet Union not enemy any more"
>dancing on the Berlin wall during the crumbling wall time
>kissing my first gf in July 1990 when we won the World Cup in Italy
>driving my bike down to Imola 1992 to see a grand prix in Italy for real
>serving in the military driving a tank
>playing the Sega Master system like crazy, then thinking "kids" when seeing people with a Nintendo N64
>eating real apple pie while hearing about Bill Clinton winning the elections
>chatting up girls in Greece in 1997 showing off my "mobile phone"
>faxing in follow on details for my American visa to the embassy in 1998

Dude, things were great. Now go back to Snapchat or whatever you do all day.

born 1982

remember pre-internet life. My kids will never know it.

that sounds cool

Better for the most part, but most importantly everyone was happier and the economy was good. 9/11 changed everything.

>it's another bunch of losers in their 20s and 30s pretend people don't talk face to face anymore

91 here. I remember most of the 90s and it was nothing special. Only cucks and boomers think it was better.

People were such emotionally triggered faggots like they are today. Also girls weren't such cunts because social media didn't have every betacuck gassing up every girl, uglies included so now they all think they're hot shit when it's only 10-15% should act that way.

80s and 90s were the midday and evening for the Boomers. They ran the world. Into the ground. The rest of us were helpless passengers in the back seat.

>this
And then you look at Germany now

This.

Kys

It was probably the last time that kids were allowed to be kids. I'll put it this way, there was no one at my high school that was political in any way, shape, or form. I knew a girl that was really against littering, that was about it. Today it seems like another world.

80's teen.
We would get on our bmx's, take the train 20 miles to the skatepark, ride all day.
Get the train home at twilight.

We had no mobile phones, no concerned parents constantly hovering round us & we looked out for each other.

If I was a kid now it would drive me batshit mad, everything looks so supervised & everything HAS to involve girls.

You can still sort of get that experience today.
>Turn off your smartphone and lock it away
>If you want to make a call, do it from a landline or a payphone
>Pay for all your groceries by writing a check
>If someone writes you a check, stand in line for the teller to deposit it
>Call a 1-800 number if you want to mail order anything
>Makes sure to consult your TV Guide so you can program your VCR to record your favorite TV show
>Or get your kid to do it because you're a Boomer and fail at anything computerized
>Stare in confusion and incomprehension at your car's engine, because the carburetor just went away. Wut's an ECU? Just tape over that check engine light.

Nobody had their face glued to a phone or gameboy. which was nice. But otherwise, it was just as shit as it is today. (maybe even moreso in some ways) This is when affirmitave action really came en vogue. So standards across the board was lowered. So it wasn't all that hard to get a job. thanks to Bubba Bill, you could get financed for a house even if you were a junkie. Which was also kinda nice, but clearly caused major issues 10-15 years down the road. The 86' Miami shootout was the last nail in the coffin of the Barney Fife idea of cops. This is also when Drugs really became a noticable thing for the middle class. Not just illicit drugs, but now people were starting to get perscribed pills for anything under the sun. Your kid is too hyper? give him some downers so he's a damn zombie. Wife gets moody during her period? here's 3 different untested anti depressants so she's only a bad day away from a breakdown.

Don't listen to people who were chidlren at this time, unless they were homeless, the rose tinted glasses will be especially thick.

They weren't as prevalent, nor their ideology, as compared to today you fucking kike
>'82
AYYYYY

Oh, and
>put on a suit on Sunday and go to this place called "church" and make all your kids go there too. Why? Because you're a Boomer with Values.

everything was so innocent.porn, cigarettes and alcohol were a hard thing to get if you were under 18.man and woman were more faithful though.also i remember when people freaked out about marylin manson.today this guy wouldnt even be noticed.

34 fag here
Life was glorious in the 90s. The only thing we have better now is ultra low interest rates

shooting some bosnians
then going to school to finish my degree
then immigrating to america

1980 here. I didn't see a black person IRL 'til I was 15.

We watched more TV and still read newspapers. WAY less porn. More people smoked. Everyone was considerably thinner.

Tell me more about those Bosnians, are you a Serb?

Although you could see the future back then if you knew where to look. I remember bagging groceries and almost every order was at least 1/3 junk food - chips, cookies, sodas.

some things better some worse, inner cities were crack fueled war zones, food choices a lot more limited. Was nice to have a clear enemy in the USSR. AIDS scared people abstinent. 90s we're cool cuz had internet without social media, and good drugs and party scene. There was a sense in the late 90s that the world was actually getting better. Then 911 happened and it all went to shit. '79, DC area

That's ur fault cunt

>porn, cigarettes and alcohol were a hard thing to get if you were under 18
Correct for porn (when porn first came to VHS, it was just for creapy adults) - we non-adults only got magazines with maybe a boob or two.

Cigarettes and alcohol were everywhere when I grew up. Nobody would care. I bought beer for my dad when I was 6 years old togehter with my 9 yr old brother - my dad would set up the grill on Saturday and said "go to the local shop before it closes at 12noon, get some beer" and we went!

I'm just glad I grew up in the 90s. It was nice when everyone played outside all summer. Having friends over to actually play hockey or baseball or football are some of the best memories I have.

Even when you wanted to play videogames you had all of your friends in one room playing on the same TV which was much more fun than playing online in a room by yourself.

Good times.

I remember crossing the Canadian-USA border to drink in Canada. Was easy to go there when you were underage and even in high school with a fake id.

the border guard on the us side was always playing a banjo and laid back in his chair, would simply wave you through if you were white goys, if you had a nigger with you then all hell broke loose

remember a friend who brought a nigger had his car torn apart by the canadians

>1980 here. I didn't see a black person IRL 'til I was 15.
Pretty much same here. First time I saw a real life black was in London when I was 10 - that was in 1988.

Says the canadian

It sucked balls. No Hitler speeches were online yet, national socialism was very very weak.
It was extremely cucked.

>back to the 60's
>dropped
Kys nostalgiafag

People had been stuffing themselves with candy and soda and sugar cereals since the 60s. No idea why we've gotten so fat lately, but I'm gonna blame the internet anyway.

Born in 1977. I have a question for you OP, can you imagine a world where the Internet didn't exist?

Colorado we could get into bars at age 18 and drink 3.2 Beer.

Better now, people are more awake to the bullshit. 90s were a liberal paradise, seinfeld, doctor katz, jurassic park, the internet was taking off. People were more optimistic, but more delusional about the real power players. You should be excited to be young at this juncture in history.

Music was limited to what came on the radio and it was all top 40 lowest common denominator dreck. Imagine if all you knew was Madonna and Prince Michael Jackson and that was it. Same thing with video programming, the closest you could come to anything remotely interesting was called "public access cable" and even that was hit and miss.

32 here. I will be able to provide a good life for my kids but I feel upset with the direction economically our country has taken with globalism. Stagnant wages with rising cost of living. Things were better in general. My children will be taken care of but they will exist in a much different country than i got.

I'm 34 and life in the late 80s and 90s wasn't that great. I lived in a lower class Philadelphia neighborhood with a heroin epidemic. T
White kids didn't start acting like niggers til the mid 90s but I think my neighborhood was one of the last low income but majority white places in the city til spics made their way in. Puerto Ricans are niggerish

Better user. Simpler.

the origins of cuckdom were in Hamilton Ontario, started with the bare naked ladies, I remember people listening to them... couldn't call them cucks because word wasn't in my vocabulary but i was thinking it

This. My family has always been pretty political and I remember they really disliked Clinton, but it was nothing like complete hatred and contempt people have for political leaders today.

Canadians fought in Afghanistan retard.

The eighties where going to be epic. then Aids hit and it all went to shit

32 here - nope, same shit

We could also get places in a reasonable amount of time. Back then "rush hour" just meant there were a few more cars on the road than normal instead of bumper to bumper like now. Also the state was way more conservative outside of denver and boulder.

90s Kids here.

Nikelodean was brilliant back then, nothing like today - see Ren and Stimpy.

SNES was my console, and then I made a fuck-up on the 32-bit "great leap" by getting a 3DO Panasonic console.

By 1997 I got a PC and fell in love with games like Red Alert, Age of Empires and any type of RTS.

Internet was slow but more free - it felt far more varied than today. It was through Altavista that I discovered Oswald Mosley, and a period drama based on the same subject aired on Channel 4. I watched it religiously, and it introduced me to Wagner.

Laughed during the minute silence for Priness Diana - I thought she was a traitor for fucking a Muslim as young as this and deserved to die.

Hated the way Britain was beginning to change in 1997 with the victory of Blair, and so took to computer games - I believe all modern boys do this until they become adults... you will grow bored of computer games one day.

yea im a serb

the bosnians wanted to secede from yugoslavia and make their own country, the only real problem to this being the significantly high serbian, and even croat populations. The bosnians were just 1 third of the state, but held most of the central cities population wise. The croats and bosnians fought eachother for most of the war except the last year, were they combined forces in a shaky alliance to destroy the serbs. Fortunately we survived that and ended up with our defacto state, now controlling 49% of bosnia with the highly likely option of seceding in the future.

Muslims every were are pretty fucked up and terrorist like. They are also very stupid and easily manipulated by thier leaders. Fikret Abdic was the only muslim leader in bosnia that i actually liked and probably represents the only normal bosnians that country has ever had.

The bosnians fought the turks with us originally 600 years ago or something like that, but then they sold us out and became muslims to avoid being taxed/raped. My ancestors probably actually fought their way deep into bosnia trying to avoid the turks, and probably slaughetered any turks or bosnians that stood in their way. Since we are essentially the same people, just different religions and histories, i could someday consider bosnians on more firendly terms if they stopped being muslims.

The croats on the other hand, although i dont hate them like i do with muslims, i always remember as sell outs and austrian stable boys. Somewhat 1000 years ago or something we were considered the same people but when the church split in 1054 they became "roman" catholic while we remained orthodox. Those catholics fucked europe up by using the first few crusades to attack us instead of helping us keep the turkroaches out of the balkans and even anatolia proper. By us in this instance i include all the other orthodox chirstians.

Wow, whitey is extremely laid back when theres no niggers around.

>Music was limited to what came on the radio and it was all top 40 lowest common denominator dreck.
A lot of the stations were locally owned and operated though. And there were record stores everywhere, some of them huge. Classical music fans freaked when compact discs came out.

youtube.com/watch?v=vaQKyWBX0pQ

Fpbp
But seriously me too

Yeah this. Spending a whole day over the park or woods playing football or camping with friends, snes and n64 at weekends, watching absolutely classic movies, zero SJW shit. I had no clue what a Muslim was. 9/11 2001 changed the world and not for the better

Yeah, that's right. If you wanted to listen to your MadonnaPrinceMichaelJackson, you had to go to the "record store" and get a "cassette tape". Or if you were wealthy and avant garde and Boomer, you got the newfangled "compact disc" for 17 1985 dollars, which is probably 50 2017 dollars.

Mfw not dumb enough to volunteer to get shot at by inbred goat farmers for no good reason

Remember those 5 brave leafs

I miss those days, when you were hungry someone would shove a boob on your face

>You just werent aware.
No, there were feminist types
>Germain Greer telling people that until women had tasted muh menstrual blood they weren't feminists
>Susan Faludi telling women to take no prisoners in breaking the glass cieling
>Naomi Wolf bleating about how downtrodden muh wimmin were while literally raking in the cash from her books
but for the most part that poster had it right

>no phones/cameras = got away with a LOT of shit that would end up on yt today
>common sense = people generally weren't so divided & divisive so conflict tended to be more face 2 face hence less of it.
I'll add
>the net = gave all the idiots out there (who previously might be luck to get a pic in the local rag as the local crackpot) a voice.

OP, go kiss a CHALLENGER.

>to intelligent to serve my country
What did the cowardly American mean by this?

was good with no muslims

yes

>payphone

Where? There are no payphones anymore

Well, I guess you're SOL then. Have to ask someone if you can borrow the phone in their house to make a call. Or just wait until you get back home to make the call.

SOME people had common sense. stupidity didn't propagate across social media so quickly.

Welp now I'm depressed

Marijuana was considered by far the most dangerous substance in existence. It was like worse than Sarin gas. We had police officers come and talk to our classes and hold a bag in front of us and tell us stories about kids dropping dead and becoming brain dead from it.

TIME FOR CHURCH

youtube.com/watch?v=VKYMgfjCd7E

In a nutshell, pussies were not shaved.

noice

my parents wouldnt pay for cable tv so i was stuck watching pbs cartoons well beyond the age of the target audience because it was all i had. The n64 was too expensive so all i had was nes and snes with a collection of bad games because i was too young to understand that licensed games are usually shit. The early 2000s are when life started to get good. You aren't missing anything.

70's kid btw. Had a fucken whale of a time in the 90's.

The saddest part is seeing this same guy go back to the same 7-11 in 2014. The difference is night and day.

youtube.com/watch?v=W8n11y2lxrE

The 90s were way better. The world still had some innocence and fewer fucked up people.

Watch Slacker. That's how life was

Things were great after the Jewish Cold War and before the Jewish War On Terror. Hard to believe those kikes were scheming away in their synagogues while we goys were enjoying peace.

Intro to The Adventures of Pete and Pete still gives me some feels. I was like 8 when this came out. Found some DVDs a few years back and watched them; like another world.

youtube.com/watch?v=wTcpqzQbRTI

Hur hur, what a coward, not wanting to die for the Global Jew

Less political correctness, music was mostly shit. Crimp tongs were really popular. MTV actually played music videos.

t. ancientfag

I just played videogames all day.

we all sat around the campfire and sang songs. and the carnival was always in town. with elephants and zebras and clowns walking down the road. we all smiled and gave high fives to each other. and there was cookies and ice cream 24/7.

There were more social things to do, because you had to go outside to live your life before the comfy phones and Internet we have now.

When it came to international things,we were much dumber, like; shows, games, music were whatever the local record store or video store had to offer, unless you wanted to pay big bucks for imports as some niche store or monthly trade show, since ebay wasn't around. News was the paper and the handful of NBC, ABC, FOX, etc., there didn't seem to be daily controversies, because you only had those few sources to choose from. I feel like we were more naive back then.

I would say life is better now for sure, everything's extremely convenient, for better or worse. People can communicate and learn things much quicker, most media can be found for free and downloaded easily, you can easily find like-minded people to talk to, and you can do it all wirelessly, using lithium ion batteries..

It was comfy outside, now it's only comfy inside.

What about black metal?

Yes. There was not division like we are seeing right now. We were more free in some respects than we are today, and people had actual friends and spent time with them.

>Not wanting to engage in pointless combat with stone age mudslimes for the benefit of (((them))) = coward?
Drop the hero worship leaf
