They already know it's the Saudis and Israel that they need to attack. They also know they can't do that because the USA is Israel's golem. Why do you think so many Jews kvetch when they think of the USA and muh ebil Russia being allies instead of enemies?
The only thing that stops Iran attacking Israel is that the USA will get involved. If their was a NAP between the USA and Russia, or even just a straight war between Israel and Iran, then Israel wouldn't last a week. Drop some nukes in Iran and you aren't going to wipe out anywhere near as many people as you would dropping them in them in Israel which has more densely populated areas.
On the other hand if Israel dared to drop a single nuke they would be flattened immediately by Russian nukes. Then you might say "But then America will nuke Russia", but you don't take notice of the fact that when you cut the dog's head off its tail stop wagging on its own.
