what about Brave?

I use SRWare's Iron browser, but supposedly Iridium browser is good too. They're both Chromium based, so Chrome with out the Jewgle.

I still use the old Opera for most things, even though it isn't what it was ~20 years ago. It used to be more broken about modern web bullshit, which was a nice way to avoid modern web bullshit, but I guess it's like your busted old comfy couch.

opera-beta doesn't quite have it together anymore, but it's convenient for the things that make old opera keel over and die.

Pale Moon

>criticizes people for using the "wrong" browser
>implies he uses that same browser

Switch to waterfox.

>firefox
>non-profit organization
>not part of a botnet

whats your problem with it?

it's fucking slow as shit
there's a million forks that are WAY quicker

I tried out a bunch of browsers and realized that I'm too stuck in my ways to abandon Firefox, so I just turned off updates so version 57 doesn't shoah my add-ons

You don't need a browser when you run TempleOS. You only need to connect with God.

>slow as shit

sounds like someone needs a new computer

>slow as shit
Do you have a crap computer? I've never noticed slow page loading on Firefox, it's always loaded pages in at about a second

This is what I'm going to do until Brave gets good. That'll probably take a year or two.

Nah mate firefox is cripple slow no matter how many cores you give it. And then on top of it you need 57 extensions and over 9000 hours in MS paint to make it work right.

You can tell who watches Jim, because templeOS mysteriously became relevant in the last few months

it's run by SJW and they took money from soros

Styx?

Anyone know how to get Netflix to work on Brave? The Google Widevine plugin thing doesn't work for me.
Inb4 "don't use Netflix". I don't pay for it so why the hell not…

Waterfox

even for free, theres better options

let's see

- they drove out their own CEO because he supported an anti-gay bill
- they are now working with George Soros to fight "fake news" (aka anything conservative)
- they constantly throw feminist bullshit in your face
- they took down gamergate themes because they thought it was a "misogynistic hate movement"

they are SJW as fuck. Try Waterfox or Pale Moon instead

It's just easy for a few shows I like to binge regularly. Though their constantly shrinking catalog is getting annoying.

Microsoft edge. Built in security too.

Brave, Vivaldi, Pale Moon, and Waterfox. They each have their downsides, but that's what's out there.

I thought firefox was good tho?

Obviously internet explorer and chrome are fucked, safari is fucked, are there any other tho? Really? What about Opera?

Iridium

REEEEEE

True

Great digits. What the fuck is brave and is it worth two beers?

Brave and Qwant, nigga

Like what?

Literally what?

>Trusting microsoft
Bluepill confirmed.

I downloaded it when the Google memo thing hit. It's okay actually.

I've been using Ecosia. Planting trees 'n shit.

pale moon.

Firefox's work with Soros to block conservative news sites. Opera's owned by the Chinese now, which is just as bad. Vivaldi's owned by ex-Opera devs, so you may wanna take that for a test drive. Otherwise, you can check out Brave, Pale Moon, and Waterfox.

vivaldi

info overload and frenchfaggotry, but it beats (((google))). Am using now. Thnx.

use Waterfox, its a FF Fork which supports addons past v57

user, you already goof'd

mfw I used firefox for years even tho chrome is better because I used like Mozilla but then I google this and its true.

Never heard of the others you're mentioning, which would you suggest?

>he's a google slave who didn't buy a Sup Forums pass

Qute browser is pretty cool if you can get used to the innane keybindings or you own a mouse with loads of buttons. (MMO mouses come to mind)

chromium still has tracking and shit built in fuckass

>Giving money to a chink that is known selling personal informations to the highest bidder
You goof'd again

vid.me < dailymotion

>dailymotion
I thought that place was dead

What the hell do I care? My contributions all get archived and it's a great way to hope all the intelligence agencies and contractors are reading what I write.

On the other hand, I know the guy who invented captcha, and I know the kind of people who work with and for him, and the kind of people who work at Google, and I'll give $20/mo to gookmoot before siding with those frankly exploitative mental retards with even less of a moral basis than /d/.

Why so hostile?
>checks flag
checks out

>Chrome
>Objectively the best in most performance tests
>Only task specific builds are better at certain things, but most people won't need that
>The only issue is (((Google)))

>Firefox
>Mediocre performances
>mediocre privacy breach issues

You won't find a better mainstream browser than Firefox and honestly the obscures ones aren't that much better / safer either. Unless you want something specific performance wise and need a special browser for a special task, stick with Firefox. If privacy isn't a concern at all, pick Chrome, because it's the best at everything at this point.

Not at all onnichan. Dailymotion is up and alive, and while a ghosttown, I prefer it to (((Jewtube))) and (((Vid.me)))

elinks

Brave:
>Founded by Firefox's former CEO after he was canned for supporting Prop 8
>Built-in Ad/Script blocker
>HTTPS Everywhere baked-in
>Has its own Ad service to generate $$$, but it can be blocked as well w/o 3rd party plugins or hacks

Vivaldi:
>Founded by ex-Opera devs
>Supports Chrome extensions
>Multiple customization options
>Designed for multitasking madmen

Pale Moon/Waterfox
>Stripped down, open source versions of Firefox
>Great for those who hate Soros, but don't wanna leave Firefox behind completely.

>I know guy who made captcha
LAARPer

>Less morality than /d/
Not fucking possible.

Delete this pic of my daughter now

Hmmmm . . . between Pale Moon and Waterfox, which is more normie friendly (I fail at computers)

>(((Duckduckgo)))

It's great for softcore pornography.

>LARPer
Not really. I didn't work directly with is group before Google scooped him up, but I do know him and some of the people that were in his group an in his orbit.

GNU/Icecat

IDK. You'll have to test drive both.

like I said before, edge is fucking garbage
fuck off microsoft shill

Palemoon for 32bit, Waterfox for 64bit.
rbt.asia/g/thread/59461308/

So what's the alternative my friend?

>Brave
Comes with a botnet. Hell, one you yourself are listing at the end.

>Vivaldi
Uses the Blink engine. Might as well be using Chrome.

>Pale Moon/Waterfox
That's the way to go.

holy shit

prove or stfu. My cynicism besides, Google is distrustworthy. Not /Our Company/ in any fucking way.

StartPage.
startpage.com/eng/protect-privacy.html?

I'll give it a look. Thanks, friend.

Lurking with IceCat right now

youtube.com/watch?v=8IK6eLTNV1k

Bear in mind that startpage is basically a google mirror. I use for most things, but it suffers from the same poor search quality that google does if you're looking for something that isn't easy.

Terrarium is pretty good

People recommend Startpage or Yandex. But honestly, there will never be a good alternative for everything that isn't somewhat breached. If someone could make a 100% safe browser/search engine, terrorist, drug dealers and pedos would be all over that already, word would get out, and the dev would get v& fast because it would pretty much be an active support of those activities. We just have to accept that nothing is perfect and someone will always find a flaw in the thing you use.

yandex but its controlled by russians

I find that, all those "Use alternative version, man", "ubuntu, man", people are always some weirdo with anime fetishes.
That's what you do whole day? setting up tinfoil system and masturbate to those animo animu?

I don't trust RMS and GNU ever since they took Matthew Garret in on the FSF board.

On the other hand, Palemoon is maintained by furfaggots and Waterfox is 64bit exclusive, so there's that.

>Yandex
I love its image search engine, but I wouldn't use it for privacy.

This is simply BS, probably used by kikes at google to stop people from using duckduckgo.

First of all affil codes are simply that. They set a cookie so that a small percentage of orders will be paid to the one setting the affil code. And I do set those intentionally for a few sites, that I want to support. It doesn't cost me a thing, not even privacy.

Anyway affiliates can see which products were bought in total, BUT NOT WHO BOUGHT THEM. Which means privacy-wise it is safe.

On top of that, I just checked. For my test searches duckduckgo did not set any affil code.

And duckduckgo also does not use link trickery. Google for example will not give you a link directly to the site (but they manipulate the browser, so that it looks as if they gave you a direct link). Nope. They give you a link to their own servers which will then forward you to the destination. Which means (((they))) can see where you clicked and which site you visited.

Duckduckgo does not do this.

Which means

Duckduckgo >>>>>>>>> Censoogle.

The image is basically FUD.

NetRunner.

obviously
*small percentage of the total price of orders

Switch to GNU/Linux and use Icecat. None of you play video games anymore anyways, and what you do play works fine either natively or under Wine on Linux.

>inb4 commie open-source fags

Open source is a product of capitalism, not some communist ideal, as much as idiots like RMS want it to be. It's a voluntary giveaway of labor.

kodi with the watchseries plugin if you want something similar to netflix.

A good torrent tracker, qbittorrent with ordered download on (and I guess deluge is fine too), and mpv (and smplayer if you're whining about the lack of GUI) is the patrician choice though.

Firefox forks

>Furfaggot shit
No

Brave is the amazon browser. Download from amazon, repo on amazon, statistics sent to amazon, and amazon runs the friendly ad server is you opt-in for it.

This poster is a duck. Don't trust him!

quit stealing movies you broke ass poorfag

OP asked. I answered. That being said, I'm testing Pale Moon now. Not a fan of how they handle installs for Linux, but it's doing what I need it to do so far.

>not some communist ideal, as much as idiots like RMS want it to be
Stop shit-talking RMS, tard. He's not a commie.

Via is the best option for phone fags, it's around 523kb or something too.

>ITT hipsters

I couldn't figure out how to get netrunner working on Windows

>None of you play video games anymore anyways, and what you do play works fine either natively or under Wine on Linux

Can confirm. I game on my Linux rig daily.

install gentoo

>weirdo with anime fetishes

You act like getting paid to set up a tinfoil system and masturbate to anime porn ISN'T what everyone wants.

Get the fuck out you poor goat-fucking Euro.

He literally believes the product of one's labor shouldn't be their property simply by virtue of it being easy to copy. That's pretty close to communist property-grabbing.

People into anime used to be more tech-literate than the average guy on Sup Forums, you know. Sup Forums was chock-full of those, but the normalfags that entered after the GG thing chased them away.
Nice pattern recognition, though. Even if you're new you still noticed that.

Not hipsters, people paranoid about Google and Mozilla's recent sjw streak. I'm especially glad that people finally caught onto the Google jew.

I'm going to play Devil's Advocate and throw out that I feel that although it's a basic violation to pirate something, I'd give a free pass to anyone who wants to pirate slop to avoid supporting (((Hollywood))) and the like.

>watching the western jew
Tecún pls.

Again, if what you want is free netflix, kodi+watchseries is the non-retarded way to go. Not that I do that, because I don't watch the western jew. I do the torrent+mpv thing with chinese cartoons. And dailymotion+viewtube/youtube-dl+mpv for japanese variety.

?

It installs the same as anything else though? Firefox and clones, chrome, brave, vivaldi, they're all supposed to be extracted on /opt and having the binary symbolically linked to /usr/bin. Unless you're some sort of repo babby.

>the product of one's labor shouldn't be their property
But does he?

Oh, and I supposed I should explain "used to". Anime got a tad more popular in recent years - and given that the average person in their late teens currently can't even install Windows on their computers, the collective intelligence dropped.

All the apps on my rigs are either in the repos or packaged in .deb files.
