What motive would they have?

>The Confederates continues to exist, ending the Civil War in draw
>The US is not as powerful
>The Allies of WWI fought the Central Power without American help, making WWI ending in draw
>German Empire prospers, Austro-Hungary survives, Ottoman never breaks apart, no Nazis coming from Germany, no Balkan problems from all those nation states after collapse of Austro-Hungary, NO ISRAEL because Ottoman still holds the Levant

For better or worse (imo, worse), Lincoln was a fascist in almost every sense of the word. Large central state, massive state projects, social programs, etc.
Whether you're a natsoc or lolbertarian, Thomas DiLorenzo's book The Real Lincoln is a must read.

Holy fuck I just found this GOV page which points out that the fasces on the Lincoln memorial.

They did you twat. Plenty of US Soldiers in WWII wore Confederate badges or brought their Confederate flags with them.

Tbqh, any Western politicians before the end of WWII would be considered quasi fascist and so today. I feel that the 68 movement and hippie shit changed politics into some crazy liberal shit

THIS.

There's a lot of truth to this. The way the state controlled the economy and limited economic freedom in times of war (at least during WWI and WWII) is textbook fascism.

I don't think you can call absolute monarchy "fascist" because it requires a democratic element, but since the birth of democratic republicanism with America, I think democratic republics have always been split between the Hamiltonians (proto-fascist) and the Jeffersonians (proto-libertarian). The Hamiltonians have won out in the long run. They've just rebranded.

>absolute monarchy "fascist" because it requires a democratic element
In a what way? In that it is actually an oligarchy of royalties and aristocrats?

And yeah Hamiltonians have won and they are doing that in the name of PC and all 'liberal' propaganda to control people as they kinda force PC and some liberal propaganda to be something rightful and with justice

In that scenario, the CSA would be pretty pissed off if Germany still sent the Zimmermann Telegram.
Also if there was submarines attacking USA and CSA ships.

I was more of like: 'Had the USA and the CSA been separate countries trying to beat each other, it wouldn't have had enough power to interfere in European affairs

The confederacy would have utterly despised the
>national SOCIALISTS

>thinking NatSoc is the same as Marxist socialism meme

they're both big government failures

You have no fucking clue what a fascist is, idiot

The Confederacy would have been friendly with NS, similar worldview

why did America join the war against Nazi Germany, OP?

> hint: it wasn't because they were "bad guys"

You deserve a you.

they did fight the nazis in wwII you fucking idiot.

""no, they used only yankee northerners to save the jews... "

This. You are both boot licking trash.

Amazing people dont get this.

>the concept of socialism completely evading you
>the concept of a confederacy completely evading you

If they were invaded or war was declared on them absolutely otherwise probably would have stayed neutral with alot of southerns volunteering to fight for Allies. Besides Hitler hated the Confederacy and praised Lincoln on multiple ocassions because he hated the idea of regional self rule (secession) and free trade. Seriously read up on Hitler using Lincoln as a justification of Lebensraum.

For all the talk of alternative history, particularly with new TV shows being produced, I wish those telling these stories would give us more in the way of how these alternative universes came to be. For example, Seward wins the GOP nomination at the 1860 convention in Chicago (as predicted) and simply allows the new Confederacy to peaceful secede.

Litterally everything wrong with America today is Hamiltons fault. He was incarnate babby of aids and cancer.

It's an ancient Roman imperial symbol. This is like getting surprised by all the neoclassical architecture in Washington.

They did, and >40% of your current military comes from confederate states. Just because you throw bottles of piss at people you disagree with does not make you a patriotic American.

Furthermore, the North and South come to a grand political arrangement where:
>Most of Compromise of 1850 is upheld
>36th parallel is the northern boundary of Confederacy save for Virginia
>All border states go to the US
>New Mexico territory goes to the Confederacy
>California, the Rockies, and plain states are claimed as US Territory.
>Fugitive Slave Act is upheld by the US

The US and Confederacy would likely have signed a free trade deal (as was in vogue internationally at the time) with relatively loose borders for the free citizens of both nations to engage in commerce. There would also mostly likely be a scramble for empire with in the New World with the Confederacy immediately interested in Cuba and the Caribbean and the US possibly provoking a war with Britain over Canadian territory.

Keep in mind. The Confederacy and the US would likely have been kindred political allies internationally. The Confederacy in it's culture, institutions, and values simply WAS the US of 1860.

Yes faggot

They did faggot. The confederacy lost but they are still a part of america.

The Confederacy would have been noninterventionist by it's nature and (presuming it still maintained its agricultural economy) supportive of free trade so there's no reason why they would have gone to war with a major manufacturing power like Germany

>implying we must carry on the would be wars of our fathers
