Why do millennials question religion but not science?

Why do millennials question religion but not science?

it is actually the opposite

this

I don't know. I think it's because most are ignorant and don't come from scientific backgrounds. They love easily digestible pop science so they can pretend to be smart. One of the first things that they taught me in college is how "beliefs are outside the realm of science if no conditions exist which could disprove them" and "everything is a theory regardless of how widely accepted it is". It made me legitimately uncomfortable when they tried to make "settled science" a thing.

was this the convention where her and turps made that sex tape?

>dogma vs experimentation and empirical evidence

The existence of a monotheistic god is as possible as kek itself or the ancient roman and greek pantheons. Religion says you should believe and have "faith" instead of trying to uncover the truth. Science is the search for the truth. Whether its theories are proven or not it keeps searching one step at the time.

There is one thing though: assuming god exists but he does not manifest itself he either does not acknowledge us or simply doesnt care. Why worship him then?

This
They don't, they just swapped the words

She's gotten a bit of a tummy on her.

I'm a millennial, and I question both in all honesty.

Maybe god just gave everyone tools to make their universe better, and you did the rest of the work for him.

Because science, actual science, is by design critical itself. While religion usually starts with a revelation and demands/applauds blind adherence to it's claims.

Liaten, I hate millenials as much as the next guy and I do think there c an be derived a lot of moral and social benefits from christianity. But science works.

good question I questioned science not religion
from day 1 too and am slightly proud that I did

why doesn't that bitch do porn already?

continue.....

Why are you that kind of retarded?

>There is one thing though: assuming god exists but he does not manifest itself he either does not acknowledge us or simply doesnt care. Why worship him then?

God may have manifested himself to past generations and no longer does so, as a parent will care for their child but ultimately kick them out of the nest to fend for themselves. Obviously such a god would not particularly care if we continued worship in his absence, unless it had an ego to be stroked.

I personally question science but they are completely different things.
Religions are pretty much just books that describe things that inline with the belief of that religion. All of this was written by monks hundreds or even thousands of years ago.

Science is thousands of proven and tested results that are analyzed and tested by other researchers and theorists. If they get a different result then it's re-investigated.

You're not gonna rewrite the bible just because it has a bunch of scientific errors like how rainbows form or why humans exist.

It's more reasonable to deny religions written by people hundreds of years ago when dying from a fever was common.
The very reason you are even posting this is because of scientific discoveries. Dumbfuck

You obviously aren't in science or else you'd know that "millennials" question science (neuroscience, evolutionary psych, etc) EVERY DAY.

Example:
> Denying IQ differences among ethnic groups

but the masses like CATCHY TITLE "science", not actual science. And even actual science based ideas should start with, "based on what we know currently"

Programming / Propaganda from school , media & entertainment. They don't go to church.

Science and religion aren't at odds with each other.
Plenty of Christian (many different variations) scientists throughout history.

You don't know fuck all about religious scriptures, which are written in mathematical languages.

Someone post that one picture of her from when she used to look pure

God made evolution

...

Science can be observed, documented, and proven. You can see results right before your eyes.

Religion requires faith. You can't prove god exists through experimentation. You can't see any proof of god existing.

They do also question science when it is stating inconvenient truths, like the fact that genetics influence intelligence and blacks have lover IQ on average.

This

They question both, hence the retardation with transgenderisms

Climate science is their religion. They reject biology outright though, and lately I've been seeing them rebrand pro-religious arguments like "you can't learn TRUTH through science" and shit. The left is becoming more religious than the right at the moment.

Hell, the conclusions they draw from the climate science community is essentially just Calvinism with Science (tm) as the ultimate authority rather than God (tm)

Cultural conditioning

>they make me really uncomfortable whem they push for "settled science" to become a thing

Same here. It pisses me off when some art history brainlet thinks I'm stupid for not shoving the "mankind is ruining the earth and the only solution is for white people and only white people to revert to pre-industrial revolution levels of technology" blue pill suppository up my ass when they've never even heard the term 'philosophical doubt' before, much less understand it's significance

They treat science as religion rather than as science because they aren't intelligent enough to actually be a part of it but know that it's "right". This is why so much bullshit pseudoscience has been getting through lately, because if a scientist proved it, no matter how shit the study was or whether the results are reproducible or even if its capable of passing peer review and being published, as soon as the science is reported they begin their worship.

Preach user.

...

Science is not a social/political power.

tic
how much longer can the u.n. last?

Why do you always make some shit tier thread about millennials using a pic of that fugly Zoe the autistic dyke?

Questions are built into the process of science. If you don't question science, you're treating it as religion. Which too many people do, these days.

They do you fucking idiot, in fact that's the worst part about postmodernism.
It's called skepticism, if the scientific method and Socratic method come up with evidence that is contrary to their "egalitarian", neo-Marxist ideas, then they will question, not the science, but the motives of the person behind the science.
They go out of their way to discredit the person producing the evidence, rather than refuting the claim because Postmodernists do not believe in facts, only power.
If shaming and bullying you gives them power of the narrative and suppresses inconvenient truths, then they will do 100% of the time.

To be clear, Postmodernism is the belief that there are no facts and everything is equivalent, which means nothing is preferable to something else. The Marxist side of things is the creation of "oppressor/oppressed" paradigms in any social, ethnic, religious, etc topic

You can prove science but you cannot prove God.

Science is powerful you knob. Nobody questions if the method you used to access this message board is real.

Jordan B. Peterson

science is just another dogmatic belief system
the best people have no beliefs at all other than those sanctioned by our great Leader, Donald Trump

because science has been proven and religion is bullshit

Prove it.

This.

nope. you just don't know shit about religion.

>this
I used to be one of the idiots that believed in science just because "studies says so".

>Science has been proven
>Doesn't provide source

Because from birth they are constantly fed propaganda. How new are you?

why do you post this tracer dyke bitch every day?

(((proven))), all of science is just hypothesis until a (((better))) one comes along.

Because people who say they are smart say religion is stupid; if you disagree with them, they say you are stupid too. They say they are questioning everything when they are being smart.

>The existence of a monotheistic god is as possible as kek itself or the ancient roman and greek pantheons
Don't embarrass yourself, Portugal. You're smarter than this.

>Religion says you should believe and have "faith" instead of trying to uncover the truth.
False; this isn't what it actually teaches.

They do question science though.

Jewish public education

hey girl what's your number

gonna need more info here

> beliefs are outside the realm of science
I have a problem with this statement. Science is made by people, and people have beliefs. That's why we have things like "scientific consensus" (or lack of thereof) and that's what we are seeing in action in this climate change debate. If you want to fully exclude personal judgement, you have to narrow down "science" to "experimentation", which kind of defeats the purpose of doing science in the first place.

Why does OP ask stupid questions without sources?

>Why do millennials question religion but not science?
Because their libtarded teachers have assured them over and over that all "scientists" are always ethical and only tell the truth.

Why is that pic posted everywhere?

Why are you fags not interested in the biggest happening of all time ffs? Are you all fucking retarded niggers? IT'S FUCKING HAPPENING

there is progress is science due to questioning.
most people aren't flattards or geocentrics for a reason.

It has been scientifically proven that millennials are too dumb to question science

LISTEN FAGGOTS IT IS FUCKING HAPPENING WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU? YOU BETTER WAKE THE FUCK UP THE BIGGEST FIGHT OF ALL TIME IS COMING AND WHITES ARE TARGETED FOR EXTINCTION

Science has become a new religion.

You can not disprove God.

file number says Screenshot taken at 09:33:03
so...

falie name*

Because their Jewish comedians told them to question religion but not science.

>falie
i'm through

this must be Gen Z issue

Questioning science makes it better.
Questioning religion makes it worse.
/thread

remain ignorant

The only religion they question is Christianity.

Islam, Judaism, and various majority brown religions are off limits and not to be questioned.

The same with science. Man made climate change is not to be questioned.

However, inconvenient truths such as racial and sexual differences must be questioned. Even though these differences are well documented, primarily in the field of medicine.

They do question science when it conflicts with their politically correct indoctrination.

>hyphened surnames
((()))

>italy 100
there must be a lot of heeb blood making up for the low IQ majority

>You're not gonna rewrite the bible just because it has a bunch of scientific errors like how rainbows form or why humans exist.
Not true. Shit, the guy who eventually persecuted Galileo was very clear that they could reinterpret the scripture if he could prove that the Earth indeed revolved around the sun.
>The very reason you are even posting this is because of scientific discoveries. Dumbfuck
Religious people contributed a lot for spreading education throughout the world, dumbshit. Have a look at the history of universities all around the world some time when you're not busy smelling your own farts. As it turns out, people back then weren't dumb enough to assume that religion and science were two mutually distinct entities.

>You can't see any proof of god existing.
> Exists in a world that exists.

if by religion you mean only christianity, then in only because is fashionable.

>Why do millennials question religion but not science?

That is actually a good god damned question.... especially since science DEMANDS that we question it...

Constantly.

Weird. I was never taught "settled science" in School, just science. I was taught science always changes and that is a good thing.
