So, I am one week into my political science (Nat'l) class in college and after only two days we have covered the syllabus and conservatism...

I must red-pill the class before it is too late. there are a few in the class that I am already positive that I can convert, if I am wise with my words. If you have good sources for fascism being on the left, commonalities between fascism and communism and also links between Hitler and the Jacksonian south that Dinesh D'souza makes referrences to it would be most helpful. I am not saying that I will not be doing independent research, it is just helpful to have many minds pooling resources.

I haven't read extensively on the subject, as was the reason for creating this thread. from my understanding any true conservative would be against fascism as it puts the government as the ultimate authority for every business (big or small). it's the belief that regulation and control over the country's assets and businesses is necessary in order to prevent individuals or entities from corrupting the market. Although I can see some of the benefits of this, I also look at it and say what would it be like with a modern day leftist in charge.
I dont know quite enough to effectively compare fascism to national socialism, but I do not think they are the same. However I would venture to say that both would lean towards a more liberal mindset of needing the state to intervene.
