If you live downstream from the Barker or Addicks reservoirs, get out now. NWS Jeff Piotrowski was just on Periscope announcing that officials from Army Corp of Engineers are planning to open the reservoirs within 10 hours. Flood water is expected to rise 10-15 feet when this happens. Water in the reservoirs is rising at a rate of 6 inches per hour and they are at full capacity.
If you live anywhere downstream from these reservoirs, get your stuff and get out now.
This is the 1st time in history that they've had to do this.

The main difference is that the local government is still functioning and you don't quite have the NOLA darkies issues. The fact that people showed up with private boats and so on will mean this will be more like some of the Acadia regions then NOLA with Katrina where the death toll and just pure chaos will be a lot less.
