I feel the same way but there really aren't many good left-leaning YouTubers. I tried listening to TYT for awhile but they literally have 0 journalistic integrity and no intention of reporting accurately.
I get all my pinko scum news in writing now. NYT is in essence a propaganda outlet at this point but people still respect it for some reason, so I go there. The Atlantic, believe it or not, has some excellent, fantastic left-leaning journalists who still care about the veracity of their reporting. Vanity Fair hosts the occasional well done piece. Aside from that I haven't really found anything. Always looking for outlets that aren't peddling schoolyard propaganda if anyone has recommendations.
To be clear, the right also has issues with biased journalists, but there are enough people on the right that give a shit so you're not just left with "right-wing TYT" a la InfoWars.

This. Youtube is not a useful tool to inform yourself. It may serve as an introductory civic course for tweens but if you can't be bothered to pick up a book then at least read written articles. I suspect those right wing videos did more harm than good too.
The problem with leftist discourse is that since they run on censorship so much, it makes them unable to debate. Sure it wasn't like this all the time, you can read feminist literature, leftist books and so forth back when they actually had to prove what they believe in.
The left today is akin to the catholic church in the 16th century. Just like the printing block allowed protestantism to spread and was the bane of the catholic church, the internet is the bane of modern leftism today. At the end of the day it's all about how information is spread. Printed books decentralized and allowed more people to read the bible. The internet did the same thing - it decentralized information spreading and allowed more people to chip in their ideas/ideology and so the old institutions (in this case the mainstream media) are threatened by this. And they want to destroy it.
And because we are on the side of technology - the future belongs to us. The left today and all the media is lashing out, trying to censor everything and shut things down to no avail. Just like the catholic church tried to shut everything down in the 16th century.
Of course the catholic church wont dissapear - they just had to reform themselves. And leftism will have to do this too. They will have to relearn how to debate and get off the moral high horse if they ever want to get anywhere.
