A Visualization of Peterson's definition of Truth

Just listened to Joe Rogan's Podcast with Peterson and Bret Weinstein. Peterson expounded upon his position of what truth can be defined to be. Pic related.

Anyone feel that truth is merely objective?
Can you hold subjective truth to the same standards as objective truth?

No Peterson fans/haters on currently, I see.

Peterson is a Christian National Socialist. Your picture proves this

How so? Examining religion does not make one religious, and the same goes for examining social/racial identity.

Anyone have any thoughts?

we're already having a pretty heated thread about this kind of stuff
no time to link, go to the catalog

It is impossible to differentiate between infinite subjective realities and subjective interpretations of an objective reality. Both are determined by and for human interpretation, and there is no objective means by which to ascertain which human interpretation is the most or least objective. The gap between induction and deduction is impossible bridge and can ultimately only be assumed.

Objectivity and Truth may or may not exist. But in the end, humans can only achieve consensus.

>Anyone feel that truth is merely objective?
I don't. I'm sure lots of Sup Forums does though.

>Can you hold subjective truth to the same standards as objective truth?
Maybe.

I don't have very strong views on truth status questions, which I feel are always loaded, and people who seek to claim that any particular truth is "objective" are making a certain kind of grammatical mistake.

Two of my favorite bits of Wittgenstein (paraphrased from memory):
a) We always forget the phrase "I thought I knew".
b) "X is a physical object" is an instruction we give to people who either don't know what "X" is or what "a physical object" is.

cats are dogs hurr durr

...

I am a fan of Harris, but I felt his sticking on the truth subject in the first of their podcasts was a bit frustrating.

only underage betas listen to peterson

>Anyone feel that truth is merely objective?

When we speak of 'truth' at all we refer to objectivity. The universe contains patterns that are real and fundamental. Technology and logic function because this is so. A 'correct' perception exists and that is the part of the world we physically share with one another.

Harris has this problem where he's 100% full of himself and is basically pic related.

When I was a fedora tipper I thought he was hot shit but now that I don't give a fuck about that stuff anymore (still an atheist but not a militant atheist) I find him basically insufferable.

we all know subjectivism breeds nigger behaviour, but how does one back up objectivism?

The realization that imposed subjectivism can approximate objectivity.

Reject thier reality, and substitute it with your own.

He's pedantic on the definition of words like truth. Its annoying that he won't talk to Stefan Molymeme because they are both equally pedantic.

Peterson has the ability to trick the most stupid people into believing he's some wise sage
Anyone with half a brain can listen to the guy & see he is just talking alot but saying very little
fuck off youtube e-celeb trash

WTF is a militant atheist? Honest question.

we call them fedora-tippers now who are vocal about their own alleged enlightenment and outwardly signal that they look down on religious people, always looking for arguments, making sarcastic remarks, etc

>Can you hold subjective truth to the same standards as objective truth?
No. I think the problem is that we use the same word for both when there natures are so different.
Like your pic breakdown btw.

this is 100% cuckshit
if there were no objective truth then there would be no fact of the matter as to what each person's subjective truth was and whether it was the same as or different from somebody else's and how
but every "subjectivist" thinks it's really the case that he views the world one way and somebody else views it another way
subjectivism is incoherent, does not exist

>merely objective
>merely

Same.
He's almost become plebian regarding religion.
I mean I'm an atheist, have been for a long long time, but I feel like I get why ppl are religious.
Sam takes this aloof approach to it that I grew out of once I started to speak with more spiritually intellectual folks

I love getting to post this.
