Mutes the static until a carrier wave turns off the squelch.
Luis Rivera
I understand your guys enthusiasm, however you all realize that if something actually happened we would be notified right?
Luis Ward
So basically it mutes until shit happens?
Brayden Scott
mutes the background static so you'll only hear sound above a certain decibel amount or something a.e when someone starts talking
Jason Wright
Aah I see, thanks.
Jason Walker
Yeah. Really weak signals might get muted, but the important signals will break in.
Charles Jenkins
What frequency/khz or whatever all this is does the cool shit happen at?
Parker Perry
>STOP SHITPOSTING IN WebSDR's CHATBOX, PEOPLE. YOU WILL GET BANNED FROM LISTENING.
Park on 6739 or 11175 Upper Sideband if want to listen for Skykings. (Be patient, really slow today.)
99.99% of everything on this is normal commercial and amateur radio signals.
Ayden Scott
>if something actually happened we wouldn't be notified right?
ftfy
" i'll take what is mass hysteria & panic for 500, Alex "
but yeah its not like we expect to actually get anything from listening other than interesting chatter like that Greece to Saudi Arabia flight that had diplomatic problems the other day or the pilot talking about his landing gear is fucked warning light
its basically just is there a abnormal amount of traffic going on today Mhmm thats neato relaxing type stuff

8992.00 kHz USB 11175.00 kHz USB 4724.00 kHz USB 6739.00 kHz USB 13200.00 kHz USB 15016.00 kHz USB
are the US Airforce message channels
8992 and 11175 are 24-hour. Lower ones are used for traffic at night, higher ones in the day time. EAM can be simulcast on any of these.

Hambro here, my advice is to buy a short wave radio which can receive SSB and run on batteries. Ideally it should have an external antenna connector as well.
I recommend the Sony ICF-SW7600GR, the last affordable made in Japan SW radio.
I'll be here to recommend radios to anybody who wants to buy one.
Nicholas Flores
/x/ is ok as long as you don't tell them you came from Sup Forums hah, Sky kang threads are my fav ones for goofing off and quality time
Lincoln Parker
