The only differences between Marx's policies and actual American policies is that in America instead of abolishing private property and rights of inheritance we implemented taxes on property and estates, because people actually work harder and produce more if they get to pretend like they own shit and can leave it to their kids.
The only difference between American communism and Soviet communism was that the latter did tried to increase productivity more by force while the former tried to do it more by incentives and subversively.
The whole cold war was a farce, an excuse to levy taxes and increase productivity in both countries via "competition"; it gave the governments an excuse to work and tax people to death to fund their governments in the name of "defense" even though both governments were ultimately controlled by the same powers.
