I completely understand your point, I was 14 when I lost my virginity, and although I don't regret it, many many people do, I can't quite remember the sources but something like 80% of Americans wished they'd waited a while longer. The AOC where I am is 16, but I felt ready those 2 years earlier, but it is hard to establish an age that pleases everyone.
