Should cash be outlawed so that crime can be stopped?

If you have no more cash and algorithms to automatically check all your electronic transactions, you can find all criminals and all tax cheaters always. It also would mean using bitcoins makes no sense any more, as the government algos would see your e-transactions for bitcoins and could then ask you where those coins went (to drugs etc.).

the biggest criminals in history are in government
saged and reported for missleading newfags

What is the robbing of a bank compared to the founding of a bank.

no lets just outlaw crime, get to the root of the problem

yes lets turn off the cash that solves everything

this

if america just passed common sense gun laws then the shooting crimes would go away.

noone in this country needs an assault rifle 15 under their bed.

Almost all money is already digital. Very little of actual money exists in the physical world.

>you can find all criminals and all tax cheaters always

Yeah because I'm sure billion dollar corporations evade paying taxes by using cash.

>as the government algos would see your e-transactions for bitcoins and could then ask you where those coins went (to drugs etc.)
and then daddy government can tuck you in
and whisper sweet nothings in your ear
>have you been obedient, citizen?
>have you thought the appropriate amount of times about me today?

>no lets just outlaw crime, get to the root of the problem
I believe this one has been tried before but it didn't work, especially white collar crime is outrageously widespread. Like every second white millionaire is a tax cheat.

Yeah, that sounds good. We could actually introduce a mandatory 10min discussion with the government in the evening.

Just lobotomize everyone and replace their memory with instructions from the government. It worked for the Combine's military.

>bitcoins

Biggest criminals control the servers.

I think criminals would find something else to trade in and as always the only one getting a boot up their ass is the law abiding citizen.

>find something else to trade in
What? Seriously, what? And how they then convert this "something else" to things they can eat, drive, live in etc. if those things can only be bought with e-currency?

Goods to goods.

>how they then convert this "something else" to things they can eat, drive, live in etc
By trading them, dipshit.

>If you have no more cash and algorithms to automatically check all your electronic transactions, you can find all criminals and all tax cheaters always
At the same time, if all your cash is digital, any kind of digital attack can fuck over your entire economy and you have no real way to stop it

This shit just became real in Russia, some school in the south region introduced mandatory "5min information breaks" every Monday - the kids should report if they watched the news from main Kremlin propaganda TV channel and discuss it with teacher later.

Virtualizing currency carries more disadvantages than benefits for the average consumer.

Centralized virtual currency, and databases of all transactions therewith, enable the state to selectively criminalize anyone with purchases of contraband (even if such a purchase was never physically made). If there is no paper trail, there is no evidence the accused is innocent, and despite the herald of "innocent until proven guilty", I think we all know the judicial system is designed to remove inconvenient people, not serve justice.

If decentralized, a.la. Bitcoin, rampant fraud makes doing business impossible.

Some physical representation of currency is necessary, not only as a measure of privacy, but also to stave off massive corruption at all levels.

>outlawing cash stops crime

Did you know that in 2013, credit card fraud, which happens mostly online and does not involve cash, bypassed the drug trade in profitability? That's Interpol's numbers.

Crimes that involve cash probably amounts to like 10-20% by now. Robberies and petty drug dealers.

Fun fact: in Brazil they will kill you if you don't carry cash. Even the police say it's safer to carry a small amount of cash so they don't shoot you, specially in Rio. It amazes me actually.

>At the same time, if all your cash is digital, any kind of digital attack can fuck over your entire economy and you have no real way to stop it
Most people live paycheck to paycheck anyway, so only the rich get fucked.

Also, most people have most of their financial wealth booked electronically already (in shares, funds, money in the bank etc.), not in cash or gold.

nigger do you know how bitcoin works

There's already completely anonymous, private, open source, decentralised cryptocurrencies. DEATH TO THE CENTRAL BANKERS AND THEIR BLOOD MONEY!

>credit card fraud
What's a credit card?

>nigger do you know how bitcoin works
Yes. You need to open a bank account with a bitcoin exchange here, have to verify your fucking identity, then transfer real money from your real bank account to the bitcoin exchange and purchase the bitcoins. Then you can use those "untraceable" (they are not) bitcoins... only for the gov to ask you "what the fuck did you do to your bitcoins you just purcahsed"?

Not to mention they could outlaw purchasing bitcoins with your money any day now.

> Let's all switch to blockchain-based currency.
> Most people are honest
> We can all trust the Chinese to abstain from embedding rootkits in all the BIOS chips they are making
Yeah, nah. Money sucks, but only because people suck. We need to get better at removing assholes from positions of power.

So you're for government spying on it's citizens then?

> need front & back scans of DL
Yeah, totally not to be used for fraudulent purposes at all.

Yes goy, get rid of only anonymous way of payment.
Bitcoin is also finished!!!

Of course, what other purpose does the government even have? It has to have complete data in order to do its job.
>"untraceable" (they are not)
Why do people even claim that when the entire point of bitcon is that every transaction is logged and you can trace it back into the beginning of time?
