It wont be going that far west, water temps are stable up until you reach the northern Bahamas. One malfunction in an eyewall cycle could be disastrous for this storm. Same thing happened to Matthew, it formed two separate eyes for a while, diverting the track and slowing the winds.

Water temperature doesn't have a chance of strengthening this storm noticably until it's almost in the gulf. No tracks have it anywhere near that from the spaghetti i'm eating. The storm has been tracking east for days and there's still a wave of low pressure from the northwest. I'm not really sure why people or computer modeling would posit a western trend based on this.
