If I were gay, I'd disown the community. The few gay friends I have fall into that category and they seem pretty happy. They have had long term relationships and live productive lives. They're not involved with the LGBT community, aren't preachy about their lifestyle, and most importantly they don't flaunt it. They keep that aspect of their lives private like the rest of us, only they don't feel ashamed or feel a need to hide it cause they're actually comfortable with who they are.
