Most Americans are way too poor to afford those.

buildings designed specifically to withstand hurricanes Vs regular wood frame homes...

Ask (((them))

(((concrete))) houses

it's a conspiracy by Big Wood

Idk why they don't build in concrete in Florida. They do it almost everywhere else in the Caribbean.

Look at all the other concrete houses in that pic that survived.
This

Pretty sure the houses in the background are all made of wood.

Concrete & Brick = alpha
Asphalt & Wood = Jewry
>good goyim, keep paying to repeatedly repair your infrastructure instead of using building methods used by your ancestors that still last to this day

The pic on the right looks like tornado damage.

Yeah its another insurance trick. Go check the flood insurance prices.they aren't cheap

Ever since I was a child I couldnt phatom why Amerilards in hurricane areas build with houses with wood

Truly joggin the noggin

Literally this
Why do you still build with fucking wood??
Use bricks, cement and steel like the rest of the civilized world lol

Well since hurricanes, you're better of building bunkers rather than houses (which may also be handy when NK go full retard)

Or just don't build in hurricane area's

This it's your future on concrete.

USA average house is bad and expensive as fuck, also electric installation

Better than trailer parks and shanties

What do you think sustained 180+mph hurricane winds are?

Short term orientation. Why build a stone house that lasts for centuries when you can have a wooden house + car +iPhone + flat screen TV right now?

Housing in america has simillar prices to western Europe actually but the building quality is lower.

Sounds odd. I would think it is much cheaper in the US.

this
the instantant gratification is cancer

Portland cement is expensive now because of the big demand in china.

>(((concrete))) houses
Cat5 Isidore.

> using concrete instead of wood because you are not a pleb
> "designed specifically to withstand hurricane"
kek

I'd actually live there.

HEMP CRETE

Newer homes in Florida are built with concrete.

Only homes in Florida built out of wood are the ones from 1900 to maybe 1970.

Well the houses look actually fine you faggot.
San Francisco is as expensive as london. The midwest is as cheap as french Country side

No local aggregate so they use crap. Florida also filled with cheap Jews who want everything for cheap and competition eventually causes corners to be cut. That photo looks to be CMUs and that damage from internal overpressure structural failure a tornado not a hurricane.

Concrete won't withstand earthquakes very well.

>40k$ wooden houses

No they are built out of steel or CMUs. with all the same crap filling in the gaps so if they catch good wind they are effectively demolished as well. Florida concrete is utter crap.

Japs already figured out a solution for that m8
wired.co.uk/article/earthquake-resistant-curtain-building

Not anytime soon I'm afraid.

Yes it will just need to design the foundation to float like a full tub design. People want gold plated ass washers so they direct resources fullishly.

Why would i want to live in a centuries old house?
Is your phone 20 years old? Is your tv? Is your computer? Is your car?

Your chart is crap faggot.

As a kid I always wondered why Americans built wooden houses. I always thought that it might be because they never read the three little pigs.

I still think when you actually compare similar sizes and placement etc that it's much cheaper in the US.

Japan disagrees with you

Legacy is the key to in-group success but childless losers like yourself have set courses dead reckoning toward being snuffed.

Sounds good for inner city apartment buildings. But in the suburbs, houses are expensive enough as it is. That extra type of design to a house will add an extra cost that a lot of people wouldn't be able to cover. Concrete houses in some places may be a good idea, but it really depends on the natural environment.

I live north of LA for the record.

This, it's not about the "wood industry", lumber is just cheap and plentiful in north america.

or you could just not live in a place that gets hit with hurricanes every year. besides the weather, the south tends to rank bottom 10 as far as every HDI metric anyway.

Tell me why then, kankerhomo.

Your legacy is... a house?

I agree.

Concrete cities are just rat experiments.

it may look weird but a house is worth thousands

15K structures in Los Angeles are going to be retrofitted. It's a big secret but I guess not now. They are expecting a mass casualty event there but the plan is to save the core commercial structures. Very specialised custom modular equipment is being designed to do this a bit on the sly.

That's fine, let them disagree. It's also a special type of design to withstand a quake, it's not just a building, as previous people have said. Plus, the Japanese live in consolidated areas where their concrete buildings can hold mass amounts of people. In Los Angeles, things are way more spread out. Converting to all concrete buildings would take so much time and money that I can't even begin to give an accurate estimate.

>Is your car?
Yes actually.

seeI have unique knowledge. Get out.

your infrastructure was established a millenia ago. it makes no sense for americans to build suburbs out of stone.

Big Wood

>I have unique knowledge.

Take your unique knowledge and shove it up your ass. 15k buildings being "retrofitted" isn't much when looking at LA county.

You mean, like at Fukushima, subhuman?

im glad to see something like this. I don't know why everyone is acting like facism and communism are completely different things , both are state controlled industry mongrels whose plans never amount to anything.

burger, you know that a tsunami destroyed fukushima, right?

... Because it's a high school level view of the world?

It is when you have drowned in a soil liquefaction wave and the commerce section is left intact so the (((establishment))) can literally engineer the composition of the plebes at a visceral level like cattle.

No rogue programming in the PLCs controlling the back-up power diesel gensets did.

what do you think caused the tsunami retard

actually it got teared down more than 20 years ago.

Wrong analogy, you are using technological tools and appliances as a comparison to architecture.

Are the nicest paintings and artworks and pieces of furniture around you closer to the 20 or to the 120 age mark? How old are the trees in the local park? 100 or 20 years old?

Some art and architecture are meant to last because they will always be beautiful, some gardens are meant to grow even more beautiful. All of that has intangible value. A Le Corbusier chair may be built of sturdier material and more comfortable than an original Directoire Sofa (or even a good reconstruction), but the aesthetic value of the latter will always push the price of the latter up to par.

Then again maybe you are fine living in a concrete block with Ikea furniture and mock Stark bibelots, but that's just a stigma of the americanized tasteless mind of the modern European.

if i kill you with a hammer, the hammer kills you, not the energy of the steak I ate before fucking idiot

DESU I would rather live in a big ass mcmansion, even if it's made out of wood. But here in mexico wood is not that cheap.

Maybe trump should get this into nafta? Maybe mexico ought to start building their cities with American Wood? Make it happen,

Modern concrete fucking blows though, it requires so much god damn maintenance and still crumbles. Side walks need redone every 20 or so years, meanwhile Roman concrete is still rocking it after 2017+ years. Its not even hard to make Roman concrete, I'm not sure why its considered a lost tech.

I think my preferred housing material would be solid granite held together by a proper stoneworking stacking method and just covered in Roman concrete for insurance.

Oddly looks comfy

It was just an example of how we bulid vertical ghettos because concrete allows it.

that is true
romans did know how to build things

>concrete
>not stone or atleast brick
literally brutalist tier
lrn2culture you uncivilized swine

N O T A N A R G U M E N T

Better still, when will you morons adapt to the environment and build solid houses with round designs? Domes and other round shapes are sturdier during a hurricane. Wind flows around them, not straight into them blowing them away.

>Americans
>still building European-style boxes in non-European environments
It's been 400 years you idiots. Shouldn't you have learned your lesson by now?

>this entire thread
Sup Forums should stick to politics, stop being fucking retards

CMUs are strong until they are not. Monolithic reinforced pours are strong even when blast damaged. I like cordwood homes. They are incredibly strong and resisant to external forces. Americans though have been trained to always want bigger even when it is obviously not better. Look how many foolishly have garages directly within their homes. Idiocy.

And Jews are than the least Jewy since they regularly prefer to build concrete superstructures over traditional "plank" buildings

Man, Japanese concrete and housing sucks cocks in hell nowadays too. Homes are basically considered scrap after 60 years.

Roman concrete only improves its strength with age when its exposed to sea water.

Single pour ICF doesn't even really cost significantly more than stick-built. Costs less if you frame it yourself, which is easy because they're designed after legos and I'm not even kidding.

No this is not true but it is real. Modern concrete is the finest when you have both the supplier of said and the customer of said in an honest brokered agreement. America is utterly corrupt to the point that standards are too low and payoffs too high because the maintenance and repair contracts are where the raping occurs. Look how dimwitted their entire NE corridor is...I am going to pay some politcally connected company to salt my roads ruining them....now 4 months later I am going to pay the same company to repair them at a substandard level. Madness.

What is wood house? House made of up wood like furniture?
Like entire house, pillars, floors windows? WTF. Why?

>concrete
Just use brick like we used to, before the kikes decided to destroy architecture as a cultural institution

Labor, not materials of construction are the greatest cost to building. There are generations of skilled artisans, master carpenters that not only frame the structure, but at interior aesthetics and minimize lost of living space and ceiling height required for MEP items, through room specific soffiting. A lumber cabal is not really the issue here.

This

follow our building codes and standards goyim. remember we do it for your safety

>your infrastructure was established a millenia ago. it makes no sense for americans to build suburbs out of stone.

Even now we still make every house out of stone. They're a good investment because I know they'll last for my entire life and that of my progeny. The aesthetic value is a bonus.

Typical how people from certain counties can't grasp the tremendous value of non-fleeting things.

Aerodynamics are pretty simple friend. A strong wind can blow a straight wall down. Much harder to for the same wind to blow a round wall down.

Simple physics. Just like raising your house above ground level to protect from floods. People who live in regions hit by floods frequently do this. Dumbass Americans who live in hUrricane country stil build their houses at ground level.

Incorrigible retardation.

Implying modern concrete doesn't crumble within 50 years

Concrete in the northeastern USA would be a nightmare. Ill stick with my wooden houses which can withstand freezing and thawing.

Brick over concrete. Aesthetics and ultimate strength.

>Kikes

Le Corbusier was not a kike and was very strongly inspired by the Nazis, the Fascists, and the Commies.

You'll have to blame the totalitarian ideologies for that one.

Japan's building have never been built for endurance. Strange how you'd not know that, seeing how you used to build your houses out of wood too.

Cardboard houses are the only reason average Americans can afford houses.

Not everything is a conspiracy. They just don't see the value of living in something more than a soulless box.

You do realize stone and brick are different things right?

Japanese houses are wooden as well.

Concrete is not a good material for building houses you live in.
You need steel frame concrete for a building standing against hurricane windspeeds and the roof will go even with concrete tiles so you can only build a concrete box.
Would you want to live in a concrete box that costs 10 to 15 times as a wood frame cheap house you can rebuild 10 times for the price of the single concrete box?

He morphed into clown world on his own faggot.

Its so americans can afford to build a bathroom and toilet into their house
