According to USAF Data and Hurricane Hunters, Hurricane Irma's strength has NOT strengthen since coming into contact with Cuba, but has remained a Cat3 Hurricane with a sustained wind force of 120mph.
The possibility of Irma being a Cat5 Hurricane is now improbable before making landfall with the SW Florida Coast, and now even becoming a Cat4 before landfall has been less likely, but still a slightly better than 50% chance.
Landfall is predicted to be somewhere between Ft. Myers and South Sarasota.
