According to USAF Data and Hurricane Hunters, Hurricane Irma's strength has NOT strengthen since coming into contact with Cuba.
The possibility of Irma being a Cat5 Hurricane is now very unlikely before making landfall with the SW Florida Coast, and now even becoming a Cat4 before landfall has been less likely, but still a better than 50% chance.
