honestly monarchy is the best system. Most people, I'd say 98% of people, including myself, arent fit to rule over a country. In order to rule you need to be prepared your whole childhood, you need intelectual, rhetorical and military training, and of course you need a bunch of money and (cultural) support as a pillar of your reign.

The problem with modern society is that small, simple men like have become way too important in a sense that theoretically everyone can get to the top, no matter what the social background is. Its the kind of direction Napoleon enforced, who also ridiculed monarchy by crowning himself as a literal pleb.

Its simple, most people cant think politcally, they dont understand politics at all, and they are only fit to play their part somewhere in (lower) society. You're more free under a small government ruled by the most qualified and competent then you are under a democratically elected super state.
