I honestly think his Hatsu is something that let's him hide his presence. The rest of his skill is just his general mastery of aura manipulation and his ability to adapt himself to other types of attacks.

I'd say Hisoka enjoys the struggle of himself way more than the struggle of others however. He made Gon, Kastro, Togari and Chrollo struggle to become stronger; but he did/will equally discard them all after he's eaten them.

It's only been three fucking chapters, that's not excessive for set up and clearly the plot and power mechanics aren't so simple that they can go unexplained.

Anyway, Chrollo mentioned that nen users conceal their powers to get an advantage, so it's obvious he's got some reason to talk if he's contradicting himself. It might be a restriction for an ability, a distraction or even lies, etc. The first two have been used in HxH before.

Nah, I just think Ging has more money than he knows what to do with, thus he uses it his wealth to get things that he desires. I also don't think money holds a lot of power over Ging, meaning he probably could careless if he was rich or poor. He prefers to explore and discover new things in the world, he even fucking talked about wanting to go into space and explore new planets and shit.

Togashi didn't really elaborate that much on Hisoka, I think that the most we know about him is how much effort he puts into his looks considering how different he looks normally.

For Chrollo if I'm not mistaken we still don't know what is the will of the Spider, will that preponderate his own existence as he stated. So his existence is not as important I would say.
