Kaspersky blacklisted because?

Kaspersky has been blacklisted or whatever by the US gov because of russian conspiracy retards

is there more? whats the real reason for this? Were they detecting US backdoors and viruses?

its probably because kaspersky isn't pozzed by silicon valley trackers.

too much competition for symantec

Kaspersky is a Russian botnet. This angers the burgers, who want people to install American botnets on their computers.

Because, like every software product in Russia, it is constantly tracked by the Russian government.

Your government protects your privacy in this case, even if your government also wants to violate it.

so it is okay for windows to keylog and screenshot what you are working on every x seconds and foward this information to the US but it isn't ok for kaspersky to analyze your computer's memory and scan executables because it was brought up in congress with the russian conspiracy backing the dude's arguement?
and that makes it all ok for corps in the US to pull it from shelves and signal on doing so
WHEW

Kasperskys CEO was being investigated for something involving spying wasn't it? In reality it's probably because they don't let the good ol NSA run wild on it

last i heard them brought up in any real news it was that they had fired someone for letting spyware get through that the US wanted to get through

I'm a little lost as to what it's trying to say but this is the story I was thinking of

Kaspersky is being blacklisted because of THIS:

Don't let the nasty Russians fuck up software patents goy!

It's been in the news for the past several months.
They are worried about links to FSB and Kremlin, especially after several documents have been released linking them to such.
For the most part, the international intelligence communities have been treating Kaspersky as a wing of the Russian government for several years because it was somewhat common knowledge.

Kaspersky = FSB backdoor
Windows = NSA backdoor
Why does US gov want FSB backdoor again? It doesn't.

BTW don't psot archive.is links. They are banned in Russia as terrorism. You don't want to support wahhabist terrorism, don't you?

Kaspersky is just blacklisted from use on US governmental computers. Private citizens can still use it if they want.

It sorta makes sense, though. If you're suspecting the Russians are bugging their anti-malware, restricting governmental use isn't a bad idea.

US is your country. Russia is your country's most dangerous enemy.

Why do you want to give your information to your enemy?

>russia is the enemy goyim

>Russia
>Dangerous
Russia is hardly a threat. Only way that they are is if they fire off nukes, and they better end the whole world if they decide to launch nuclear weapons. Other than that they have outdated equipment and far less projection power

If you think that Russia wouldn't destroy the world before they give up their power, you REALLY need to talk to your parents and grandparents who lived through the cold war.

why would they need to give up their power?
its not like they're hillary losing an election, because one corp decided to pull their product from store shelves

As Putin said, we should reorientated on Asian market.

And look, this year they present Kaspersky-tan, and even had a stand on Comiket were they sell merch and exclusive Kaspersky-tan edition of antivirus.

So fuck you and you jewish overlords, burgers.

yes faithful CNN afficionado, let the elders dictate what you should read, what you should watch and what you should believe.

Meanwhile, average people from both the Russia and US are deathly fearful of a hot war between the two nations. Only this doesn't get covered on Business insider, buzzfeed, or CNN. this only gets covered on places like Sup Forums and reddit.

Fun fact: this picture is child pornography in Russia.

so is anime banned in russia?

Yes.

It's Norton tier AV, anyway. Besides, M$' own AV is the future. All your bases are belong to us.

Their founder goes to sauna with FSB bigshots and brags about it like an idiot.

>because
Because it's the only antivirus that doesnt have the NSA botnet

>US government
>protecting privacy
Ahahhahahah
Even IF it's a Russian botnet this hardly presents an issue to anyone outside of Russia. Firstly because Russia doesnt have or use the same mass surveilance as the NSA since they simply dont have the budget. Secondly because they cant do much to you with it.

When I get the choice between CIA and FSB spyware, I'll choose FSB every time.

kssperky has been on ball about the nsa equation group for a decade before vault 7 had come around.
