The first part that happened in the first game was pretty fun in my opinion.
The idea was fun, art was nice, characters were OK too. The only bad thing were asspulled god mode etc. Otherwise it was fine.
All the rest was bad though.
The first half is Sacred Seven and Active Raid tier uninspired trash. The second half and beyond is more coherent but rapey villains and incest is stupid alongside the guild war drama minor subplot that makes no sense.
All of SAO is bad because it only ranges from uninspired mediocre to hilarity that kills any its good points.
