Am I the only one around here who thinks that Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei was the only good Shaft anime?

Am I the only one around here who thinks that Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei was the only good Shaft anime?

Probably. Shaft isn't anything special, but they made a couple shows good enough to have most people at least like one of them

You should be.

This anime is pretentious. Monogatari is a much better SHAFT anime.

Soredemo Machi wa Mawatteiru is literally the best shaft anime ever made.

>This anime is pretentious.
>Monogatari is much better

...

I kinda like Arakawa under the bride too.
But yeah, other than that Shaft is dead to me.

>Am I the only one
Fuck off

Shaft is god-tier when they try.

They were trying when they made SZS.

Unfortunately they haven't been trying very hard lately.

Funny. there are hardly any Shaft anime that I don't like, but I never did finish S3 of zetsubou. Not that it was bad, I actually loved the first two seasons; it just felt like more of the same and I never finished it. I really need to go back and rewatch the whole series.

never finished PPD either.

SZS and Arakawa are worthwhile.
Everything else is tolerable. I enjoyed their Salami-san adaptation, for one.

Don't open it.

Oh, so you just have shit taste

more like the only bad shaft anime

They only made 1 show for cool kids.

Watch ef.

More like the manga is better

>Am I the only
Fuck off and kill yourself.

Good taste.

maybe the best SHAFT anime

but I did like Hidamari, PPD, and Maria+Holic

ef is almost as good as SZS. Everyone should watch it.

Maria Holic S1 is really good (S2 is bad)

Hidamari is good

Arakawa is ok, although it's a very distinct set of humor, hate it or love it.

Soredemo and Sasami were meh that had their moments

Mekaku City was bad

Negima? was absolute shit, although the manga OVAs are good

>say that I like Shaft because of SZS and Arakawa
>everyone thinks that I like Monogarbage Series and Shitdoka Magica

Only a Shaft comedy can make me cry bitch tears.

A RARE CASE WHERE UNIQUE, WELL THOUGHT OUT STORYWRITING T-BONES INTO INTERESTING VISUAL DIRECTION!

fate

shit taste desu

>Talks about shaft anime but doesnt mention Madoka
>madoka our loli god and saviour of Sup Forums
Op is obviously new fag or a athetist or both
>Top kek thou

(You)

How much of the manga did they adapt? Is it worth reading the rest?

>Is it worth reading the rest?
Yes, although your mind may be slightly blown by the ending.

>slightly

SHAFT had a plan when they adapted SZS, and the same applies to Monogatari. Neither series was regarded as "adaptable" to anime, but Shinbo pulled it off.

But Shinbo also failed spectacularly at adapting Kagerou Project, since Mekakucity Actors was beyond awful.

SHAFT so has a mixed track record. But, most of their best works are behind them. Since Madoka, they've regressed toward milking their franchises and little else.

I'm terrified for Zaregoto, but Shinbo has a good track record for that type of show, so...??

>Since Madoka, they've regressed toward milking their franchises
I'd chalk that more up to Aniplex than anything. Plus, some of their other interim works, like Salami-san and Koufuku Graffiti, were good. Not great, but definitely not awful, even though Salami-san got a little weird at times. I can't speak for Nisekoi because it really wasn't my thing.

No. Now shut up and tell all the other contrarian faggots to do the same.

I have liked practically all Shinbo-era shows (haven't seen Negima or Vampire Bund yet, though I'm not planning to watch the latter because of its reputation).

Out fo all the SHAFT shows I've watched, I've only really liked PPD and SZS.

Jun was Kafuka

Monogatari series is the only good thing from Shaft. Madoka is objectively shit, everything else is meh.

That's not Magical Girl Madoka.

Rebellion is the best thing the studio has ever done by far nigga

Wait, when did arakawa get an adaptation? I loved the manga

...

Is that rock you've been living under comfortable? It only had one of the best voice casts in recent memory.
