I've finished rewatching Animation a couple of days ago and I have to say I liked it even more than the first time (save that retarded Aria shachou episode). Episode 11 was glorious - easily my second favorite episode ever.

Gonna continue the rewatch-campaign with Natu and Orig as well.

It's a Japanese anime. Of course it's going to be Japanese.

The setting and story itself is so removed from Japanese culture in general (the only actual Japanese things in there are the fox shrine and Akari and Ai, off the top of my head) that there'd be no impact to the show whatsoever to have it dubbed in any other language, other than dubs being obviously shit in general.

I have to read the manga first. Sato, in my opinion, isn't a great director, but Tamayura is one of my favorite anime so I'm mildly excited.

I personally feel he botched the anime adaptation with Aria. Pacing was slowed down to a crawl and I'd lose interest before the episode was over. Small chapters that can be read in 5 minutes were stretched out into 20.
Amachu has the same scriptwriter as Flying Witch and Etotama though. I'm a little more excited.

Does anyone here ever do an Aria pilgrim? Visiting real life Neo Venezia is always on my "things to do before I die" list, even before visiting Dai-Nippon itself.

I heard it's very expensive and smelly though but hell, I'd go there backpacking if I have to.

Aria is actually the reason I'll never go to Venice. I was originally planning on it as I like Italy, but now that I've read Aria I don't want to see what the real, 100% tourist trap Venice is like. I don't want it to ruin my ideal image of the city. I've heard enough horror stories to know it won't live up to Neo Venezia.

Best watched when you're relaxed and in a good mood. Evening is probably a good time but any time (maybe not noon) is a good time.

Was never a fan of watching it at night. Early mornings or whenever you get home from school/work are the best.
