I gave it 3 episodes before dropping it.
The first merely established the premise.
The second introduced most of the characters and started to develop some sort of romantic tension between MC and Chidori.
The third then completely dismissed all of that, forced all of the characters into an uneasy and boring status quo, and revolved around chasing some emo fujoshi-bait faggot.
I've checked on Kiznaiver threads since then, and it's pretty much unanimous that the plot STILL hasn't gone anywhere. Even if the second half of the season finally kicks into gear, that's still inexcusable for a 1-cour series that had literally nothing going for it save for its (flimsy excuse for a) plot.

If a series can't drag you in even after half of its runtime is over, it's not a good series.
It's not just that though. Kiznaiver isn't even showing potential. It's not even showing some glimmer of promise that it'll improve.
For contrast, take Steins;Gate - incredibly slow first 7 or so episodes, but it was clear that they were using that time to set up a world that would be fucked around with time-travel shenanigans - and even then that was a 2-cour series.
Kiznaiver just has a bunch of pointlessly altruistic and shallow characters helping out a blank slate coward MC for no discernible reason. How do you honestly think that could even improve?

The reason it was so great in Breakfast Club is not because they were forced to be 'friends' outhe of self-preservation, it was because they found out more about eachother in a natural and organic way. What I really wanted from this show was for it to be feeling and emotion based from the start, but they can't even get it right now because it has to be a high level of emotion and the effects wear off immediatly for everyone in the group.

If that's what they were going for then they should have actually allowed the relationships between the characters to develop consequentially, instead of forcing them into an uneasy status-quo. There's potential for character-based drama in the premise itself, but that potential is utterly squandered if the relationships between the characters in question remain stagnant.
The most offensive thing about that series is really how completely dull, cowardly, and pathetic the MC is.
That was pretty enjoyable. I'm a sucker for energetic drum beats like that.
