This. Like one of the guys in the previous thread said, though, it looks like the author is going towards a message-though an admittedly brutal one in terms of delivery-that there's always a light at the end of the tunnel, no matter how dark things get.
I love despair, but in the end despair's just a tool you can use in stories. There's no real meaning to it by itself. Seeing characters overcoming the despair and earning the ending they deserve ("deserve" being subjective) is what really does it for me.

Think about it, Emilia even sometimes spouts continuity-breaking lines (e.g. sometimes she does appear to have knowledge of the other timelines), but quickly corrects herself, or intentionally keeps it as vague as possible to be able to be construed differently.

Besides, Emilia has the depth of a puddle and Subaru fell in love with her at the drop of a hat. It's kind of suspect.

Won't happen. It's a cop-out ending, and generally, doesn't have any lasting effects. Sure Subaru winds up with some character development, but it means that everything that happened was pointless in every sense. The series itself was a waste.

He starts destroying himself, the world, and eventually his former alter-dimensional friends in anger of the futility of the world with all the powers he's absorbed from the bishops (Satella would have already repaired his mana gate/or would supply the mana), and at that moment, he'd finally stop looping, and Satella would live with her mindbroken husbando for the rest of eternity. He won't ever be able to go back, even after realizing that he's become a monster - he's destroyed everything he ever believed in and loved, and so, he gives in. He stops thinking about the reality of his situation, and fills his heart with Satella. Satella and Subaru live out the rest of eternity as tyrants in love.

Remember kids, this LN is about maximizing suffering for Subaru. Not about happy endings. The best-case scenario is that Satella helps Subaru put Rem's twisted soul back into her body, becoming Subaru's personal battlemaid.

The idea is that Subaru has an inferiority complex toward his dad. Having him be integrated into the plot not only adds rationale for him of all people to be abducted randomly, but also adds internal conflict for him if he shows up as someone both as broken and as renowned as Reinhardt.

Subaru died hundreds of times to get that far, yet his dad would still be Mr. Gary Stu, just like at home. Nothing would have changed. It'd force him to question everything about himself, and, I'm sure his dad will offer him a way to transfer the curse to himself and go back to their world, alone. Satella would oblige, since her objective is his father, not Subaru.

Think of how depressed he'd be, that everything he had done, all the emotional trauma and all the waifus that died on the way were just mere collateral damage, while he worked his job as bait for his own dad. Subaru would be left with nothing.

That entire story was disturbing, what the actual fuck?
