Her butt was the only good thing about it honestly.
While her butt was perfect, so was her personality and character.
Her butt was hilariously way too fat
Everything else was stellar, sequel when
Read the LN.
Was fun movie, nothing spectacular but Angela sure was.
Fucking why, wasn't the anime a smash hit
wasn't the anime a smash hit
I don't think it was. Success yes. But not hit.
She is pinnacle of biological engineering.
Butcher has great taste ..
It was good. Only problem was the CG.
The animation wasn't worse than average anime movie.
I can only find the movie through google, nothing shows up about any anime, is it under a different title?
Am I beeing completly retarded here or is it Ghost Slide 2.0?
Angela is the best Teh Rie character.
There's only one anime movie
Its just a movie.
It sold 72k, I could see it getting a sequel but Butch and Mizushima seem to be too busy.
Isn't 72k not that great for a movie?
It's pretty good for a movie:
I can't think of a recent original anime movie that came close, even Anthem of the heart only managed like 40k.
Then I wonder why people don't talk about it more often.
better than Unlimited Blade Works
Suck it, fatefags.
Original anime movies don't get talked about all that often.
Nips really liked it though. It's the best received Butcher movie so far.
Movie was comfy and had some very nice arse.
Adult Angela was best Angela
But the young twintail fits her tsundere personality better.
you will never abandon your high tech utopian society to live with Shinichiro Miki
Wasn't it the point that Deva was far from utopia? While it is true you cannot starve nor get sick, you still have to work your ass off to get more memory or not get "archived".
And the officials are pretty strict about censoring what they don't want their citizens to hear.
So here I was, reading the thread and after doing some research I decided to download this movie and give it a shot.
Until I read your post.
Dropped before I ever picked it up.
It is not that bad.
She goes full dere around halfway.
And both her tsun and transition to dere is quite understandable and relatable.
Synopsis of LN?
This is my 3rd hand account:
Deva decides to catch up and destroy Frontier Setter. They "restore" Angela from backup from before she rebelled. Now the two fight against each other.
even Anthem of the heart only managed like 40k.
What a terrible story
Fuck, that body is just ridiculous, in a good way.
It was weird how some of the mob crowd background characters were hand drawn. Would this movie be more talked about if the humans at least were drawings?
Now imagine what would happen if she let the body grow to adulthood.
The last battle was quite spectacular to be honest. Overall, the movie was quite comfy.
Anthem of The Heart was kind of a disappointment actually, it was supposed to rival the Hosoda flicks of late in terms of box office and critical acclaim, instead Boy and The Beast got all the acclaim and it had the unfortunate timing of coming out alongside the GuP movie which ended up getting it's box office target without even intending too. Anthem of The Heart barely reached half of it's target goal even with pulling out a crazy number of promotional stops. This movie mainly seemed to get popular on account of the moe elements like Angela that got popular with Pixiv and MMD types at just the right time as well as Butcher fanboys and then just pretty much died not even months later. Nobody ever talks about it anymore, it never left any significant legacy, pixiv has stopped drawing much quality Angela art that I'm aware and it doesn't even seem to get any goods made anymore. That's the way you do it though, get popular with the right crowd using the right elements at just the right time.
and then just pretty much died not even months later
I've noticed that if you can get otaku to really latch on to a particular character designs you can ride it insanely far in terms of cashing in. Significantly farther than anything like a compelling story, themes, concepts ideas and overall planning will ever take you. Just look at stuff like idolshit to see it in practice.
At least we got some fap material.
That happened with Dagashi, right
I'm not sure if I should like it or hate it.
On one side I hate people shallow enough to only care about character design.
On the other side, it meant Angela had some success.
Somewhat. It wasn't enough to make a huge financial impact as an anime but the entire thing is clearly carried by Hotaru. Nobody gives a shit about the candy or reference skits.
It's been that way for a while now. Why do you think stuff like light novels are so popular. They aren't carried by the writing but the artwork of bishoujo characters. Same with cell phone games and even stuff like Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress. Unless it's some established thing like Gundam that's about the only safe bet on a marketable product in the anime scene. I mean I sure as hell don't see any scenario in which Expelled from Paradise even makes a splash if Angela is a male character instead and you strip out all the Rie Kugimiya tsundere antics to just focus entirely on the plot and themes. There's just no way.
You are right.
But I hate it.
On the other side, I don't want to become a guy who hates on something just because it has cute/sexy girls in it.
But idolshit is shit. There is no saving grace there. Angela can be considered a good character at least. I hope.
Wait, Dagashi made it big in Japan?
Did this movie really hit the spot for anyone else particularly after feeling let down by GITS Arise? It did more of the philosophical rambling I craved.
Nah. I just watched it for Angela.
And butcher's "philosophical ramblings" are much simpler than anything GITS has.
Any recommended subs?
Just get whatever.
Angela is hyper lewd.
I cant imagine watching this movie in the theatres.
Every single one beside me would see my boner. And all of them, except the fags, would also have constant boners.
It is like to watch softcore porn with people. You can already read their minds that each of them would like to immediately fap in the restrooms during pause.
Her outfit is ridiculous. What are those green things for?
questioning futuristic glowy bits
oh god, I ll never suffocate and die under hips like these, why do I keep on living ?
Somebody told me to pretend that she merely wears a swimming suit and it isnt something lewd at all.
This did not help, and my boner still kills me every time I look at her.
And her 'shoes'/hooves etc. How the fuck do they work?
No matter what, I want her to step on my dick with them.
And her 'shoes'/hooves etc. How the fuck do they work?
Google "ballet boots"
unf the character.
okay, you can stop I came.
Holy shit that looks painful as shit.
But so unbelievably sexy.
Do you think I will let you rest??
only for it to get yen pressed, no thanks
It will take some time until I recover. But god, what a fucking gold this is.
i like abgrund's take on them.
since they make sense, as she was merely a hunting dog of Deva.
Is Angela an oppai loli?
But that bounty hunter specifically called her a 'loli' when they first met.
god help me.
And then, there is this guy, who is using modified Angela model for extra lewd.
A costume that can hardly be made kinkier.
Cut open the mid drift
Does SVP make this film better?
didn't push the aging to be under 12
I really liked the movie.
Had the right amount of action, suspense, lewd, interdasting Sci-Fi concept and DEEP in it.
Especially latter two were pretty engaging.
What if, if you could digitalize your entire being into cyberspace and live on a server in earth orbit, where you could pretty much do and have anything you want, including immortality and a smoking hot body freshly baked from the gene-labs anytime you need? You could also potentially participate in FTL travel by sending your information across space via laser-beams and shit, and (given that Deva has robotic assembly machines and mobile gene-labs at the target star system) you could materialze lightyears away.
But what does it mean to be human, then? If your material body die but your 'information' gets uploaded back to the server and you receive a new body somewhen later, are you still the same guy?
No such thing. It could be at most Fast as Light. And transferring any amount of data across star systems would still take dozens of years and have huge risk factor.
If it's by laser then it would be at light speed instead of FTL. But yeah, it would be cool because then you don't experience the tedious journey.
The robot who went on the voyage could be the recipient.
Yeah right. Brainfarted here.
But lightspeed travel is still pretty great. Only four years until you reach Alpha Centauri.
Only problem is that you would need to have sent some assembly machines there, so that they could reconstruct your body via laser-datalink.
But since people in Deva are essentially immortal, they could wait that long (about 400 years at 15% C, with a century or so deccereration) until the assembly machines arrive there and then begin with mass-colonization.
But you would still need some really powerful lasers and the transfer is one-way so there is no way to resend corrupted data.
That's what I think.
And potentially, future technology in that universe could allow FTL travel between recipent robot and orbital server via quantum entanglement.
If human souls are just information, then there's nothing that would prevent that information to be quantum trinary standard instead of binary, and be synched with the counterpart onboard the star-ship.
sweet baby jesus
This is actually kinda a plothole in the movie universe, I think.
What happens if you just copy a human life data?
i.e. copy all of Deva's citizens and make them travel onboard the starship?
FTL travel between recipent robot and orbital server via quantum entanglement
Thats not how QE works. It cannot send information. The state of the particles is set during the entanglement. It cannot be changed afterwards.
I don't think it is a plot hole.
More like it is not point of the movie, so it is not explained. There is actually quite a lot that is left unexplained in the movie. Like what does "archivation" really mean. And if people of Deva are immortal, how do they handle new people being born vs. limited computing resources.
I think the sequel LN is addressing some of that.
Well, you have one part of the particle in the orbital server, and the other part is on the space-craft.
Wouldnt the space-craft's quantum-part alter their spin when the server-part is changed?
Cant wait for that chinese quantum test satellite to be launched this year to confirm that theory...
alter their spin
chinese quantum test satellite to be launched this year to confirm that theory
I'm sure this has been confirmed for ages in lab.
Well, I guess I didn't understood it correctly either, but still. FTL communication using QE is not possible according to our current understanding.
Quantum objects exist in a superposition of many states, as particles and waves. This is described in a particle’s wavefunction, which gives the probability that it is in each of those states. When the particle’s properties are measured, the wavefunction collapses, choosing a definite state in a single location. The quantum property of entanglement between particles can be correlated with measurements, even if they are separated by huge distances. Quantum superposition demands that these properties cannot be fixed until measured.
Zeilinger was able to show that buckyballs, fullerene molecules containing 60 carbon atoms, can exhibit both wave and particle behavior. Quantum teleportation shows that all information about a quantum object can be scanned in one location and recreated in another, thanks to entanglement because operations carried out on one of the entangled particles affects the state of its partner, no matter how far away it is. The objects can be manipulated to transmit quantum information.
It looks like it is possible... Somehow.
Anyway, the project will be launched this year and we will see if that theory is confirmed or not.
It will be interesting nonetheless.
imagine you could be the little girl when living in Deva
imagine you could make your char look like a thicc oppai loli and have the gene-lab grow your body when you have to go to earth.
Looks like scam to me. Why would you need a satellite when you can do the same thing with two places on surface?
I think you could only do that if you were some higher up or someone of high status.
Normal people get only "average" body parts and probably can't change their persona that drastically.
Till now, it wasnt tested in vaccum and there could always be some factors on earth that could have caused certain phenomenon to occur. So, space is the obvious choice.
Just like that EMDrive stuff, which NASA has tested in vaccum chamber to eliminate any possible inteference.
why isnt her mecha powered by vibrating dildos in her pussy and ass?
'It' is too complicated for mass production in that world.
Still doesn't make sense. They could make same conditions on Earth for much cheaper. Vacuum and EM shielding is simple and cheap.
Just look at what they did with the LIGO. They were able to detect changes in distance in fraction of size of an atom.
God I want to put my face in her ass.
The satellite's role isnt just to test quantum entanglement or teleportation, but to establish a test-version of the quantum internet that will run over satellites.
Anyway, it is not that the Chinese are the only one's with that plan. The ESA and NASA both have theirs scheduled, just some years later.
Surprisingly, the chinese are quite good in quantum research, having completed the then longest distance of quantum teleportation test on earth, back in 2012.
Anyway, this technology benefits all of humanity, eventually, and it makes an interesting future trope in sci-fi media as well.
The movie was okay, nothing exceptional but quite entertaining. Still, for something that I only noticed because of a ballet boot fetish that's quite an accomplishment, I suppose.
Well. I still think the satellite is just a coverup for some military equipment.
vibrating dildos are complicated
I'd say it would be a dual role, yet again.
If quantum teleportation is proven to be capable of solving the issue of Line-of-Sight and time-lag limitation, it would make future Chinese combat aircraft and drones much more effective, because unmanned and remote controled via quantum entanglement.
IF that theory indeed holds true, which will be shown.
This actually opens up another question: Why are the Mechas not simply remote controled via Deva's digitalized pilots?
ballet boot fetish
I never knew that I had that, until this movie.
If something like that was possible, USofA would be already all over it.
USofA also is at the forefront in that field.
DARPA just didnt tell you so.
Sup Forums - boobs, ass and quantum mechanics
No. If it was possible, they would be selling it for billions already.
Capitalism is always huge problem for any conspiracy theory.
Welcome to the fold, brother.
So, I suppose you have already looked into Alexandra Potter, huh?
As someone with a ballet boot fetish but who hadn't wattched this movie, I thank you guys.
Are there other anime that do this?
Well, there's always Bubblegum Crisis, which I still partly blame for mine.
Well, there's always Bubblegum Crisis, which I still partly blame for mine.
I blame Kos-Mos from Xenosaga.
Seems to show up more often in games (though most of the ones I know are from the Xeno team/Monolith Entertainment).
What about it?
Either way, I'm off to bed.
It was nice thread guys.
see ya m8
What? The fetish talk? That's pretty tame, isn't it?
Well, not with such a ground-breaking new technology. National security comes before business. Case in point, F-22, which is banned from export.
How about no.
She isn't even the type I usually go for but there's something about her design. She can drain my Balzac any day.
well this image in particular is rather tantalizing
The whole doujin is fucking glorious
did they fuck?
One can safely assume so.
