Some episodes of Space Dandy seemed like they were made just for specific sequences. The writing wasn't always sharp, but I never missed a day where it aired.
Meow in particular suffered greatly from that lack of direction. With the exception of the Groundhog Day loop episode, he served no purpose and was never funny. I wish they had kept up with his role as a rival like in the Undies vs Vests episode.

Cloudian. Always Cloudian. Not funny, nothing going on from a visual standpoint, has the stupid laugh track that has no real payoff other than "they're invisible aliens, no back to the plot"

I think the show's biggest flaw is always spending way too much time justifying the premise of each episode. The Deadland episode didn't waste any time with that shit and it helped make it the best episode.
