mostly Aria OST
Parasyte's pretty great.
>dubshit
>great
Top tier:
Aria
Texhnolyze
FLCL
Cowboy Bebop
Good tier:
Ippo S1
Panty and Stocking
Evangelion
Samurai Shamploo
Ping Pong the animation
The disappearance of Suzumiya Haruhi
youtube.com
This whole OST is a fucking god send.
FLCL OST 3 is literally perfect.
>that intro
Sold
This is outdated, but it still holds up pretty well.
I'd probably add Hibike to it, plus a lot of albums that I didn't want to include because of overlap of composers.
>FLCL
The Pillows are gr8 but come on. A band's discore is not a soundtrack.
True but it's commonly referred to as the show's OST.
youtube.com
STILL THE BEST 2016
I rather agree with this.
Of course FLCL is still a great soundtrack, but I bristle a bit when it's included in these discussions.
Still better than people bringing up OP/EDs, though.
#FREETANIUCHI
I listen to Turn A, GBF, E7, various macross', ping pong, SamFlams, and GaoGaiGar's soundtracks when I play video games.
Looks like I spoke to fucking soon.
I'm just a Sawano pleb.
...
youtube.com
I don't even like umaru.
Kuroko no Basket is by far my favorite anime OST
Nice choice. Loved this album for years.
Favorites are probably youtube.com
and a.pomf.cat
which for whatever reason doesn't have a Youtube link
Guess I'll just up it myself.
he always does the same safe shit
and i really like it
Zeta Gundam, Megazone 23.
youtube.com
youtube.com
My favorite Anime OST is probably Welcome to the NHK's
Mushishi's was pretty great, except for the sore feet song. Fuck that noise.
>ctrl+f Initial D
>ctrl+f eurobeat
>0 of 0
I was pleasantly surprised hearing coaltar play when mpd came out
eurobeat is a way of life, way above the categorization of just "soundtrack"
that's what coaltar sounds like now? is it still even shoegaze?
>anime music
I can almost hear the Sup Forumstants typing up their angry posts right now
You mean the people that insist their "unique" opinion is correct while listening to garbage? Fuck them.
This fanfic has one of my favorites ost
>hating X music
Almost as sad as caring about Sup Forums at all.
I listen to the K-On music box collection almost every day and still havnt seen the anime.
Most of my music consist of OP/ED (full) that I liked.
Go back to Sup Forums
The 3 main incest series (Yosuga no Sora, Oreimo, Koi Kaze) All have top tier soundtracks
Recently I fell in love with Garden of Words OST, especially the title track, Rain
youtube.com
youtube.com
youtube.com
dailymotion.com
Good taste
Kill yourself
Space Dandy has a fantastic OST, but most of you guys probably already know that, considering how big of a deal Space Dandy was on here.
soundcloud.com
>Kill yourself
If I was still alive, I wouldnt be on Sup Forums.
I like K-ON's vocal stuff too, but the show and perhaps especially the movie both have some great BGM tracks as well.
a.pomf.cat
isnt there already a eurobeat thread anyway?
2spoopy
>a.pomf.cat
yeah, I have all of that as well and like it.
Generally, I listen the ones that I watched the anime of them. Because it feels like I am watching the anime completely new
My favorite soundtracks are Durarara!!, Baccano!, Kaiji and SNK. When the OSTs for Joker Game and Mayoiga come out I'll add those to my playlist too.
Guilty Crown, Madoka, Monogatari, Naruto, that's mostly it. I do love anime music but not all of it has a lot of replay value. Some stuff like AnoHana had some good songs but the whole soundtrack is a bore to listen to. Same with TTGL, K, etc.
I'll likely end up downloading some more stuff after reading this thread, though.
Your intense plebness is almost cute.
The crappy anime he listed all have great ost.
Stop acting elitist.
I'm still not retracting my statement.
I also didn't mean it in an entirely derisive way, either.
But still. So fucking pleb.
My personal favourite as
>Wolf's Rain
>Ping Pong
>Princess Tutu
>K
>Fate/zero
>Aldnoah Zero
>Death Note
>Tokyo Ghoul
I like the Gatchaman Crowds OST a lot.
youtu.be
Kyousougiga has a really top tier OST in my opinion and I really want to buy it, but Japshit costs a decent amount.
youtu.be
Death note ost 1 fantastic and emotional instrumentals
Mekaku City Actors OST.
Shoegaze is a minority of Coaltar's discography, they're very experimental
Ristorante Paradiso and Allison & Lillia have great original OSTs.
I frequently listen to YKK's and Aria's soundtrack while driving in rural America.
This track in particular is god tier while driving through the plains. Seeing a Kansas sunset while listening to this is among the most relaxing things I've ever done in my life.
youtube.com
Undine is great for listening to in light rain.
youtube.com
Bartender's soundtrack is great for driving in New York, Chicago, or any other bigger city.
For songs other than OP/ED, it's almost exclusively Nagi no Asukara. NGNL, Baccano, DRRR, and anything by Hiroyuki Sawano are also pretty great.
Not anime, but I've been trapped inside the Persona OSTs lately.
>Ristorante Paradiso
If you liked this, I recommend Ikoku Meiro no Croisee if you haven't listened to it already. I honestly like it more than the former.
I probably should since Kokoya did the music for it too.
That is indeed why I recommended it.
I listen to a lot of OSTs.
Horizon, most sawano, YYY, various Kajiura Yuki, dragon age, halo, code geass, NGNL, Grisaia, Rakuen Tsuiho, BRS, C^3, the eva movies, YNS, Dimension W, gatchaMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN, Machinedoll, FSN, TTGL, Little busters, Angel Beats, Souleater, DAL, Toradora, Panty and stocking, Hoshizora, SSY, Seraph, Symphogear, Redline, shigatsu
you know, now that I actually sit down and look at it, at least 60% of my music library is OSTs.
Same, I've been hooked on SnK's ost for a while now.
Why is Kabaneri's so boring?
Came here to post this.
Ping pong
youtube.com
Samurai Champloo
youtube.com
>No Utena
Plebs, the lot of you
>Sup Forums
>relevant in any way
Surely you jest.

There's only one way to truly live and find beauty in life.

Personal favorite.
This desu
Best anime OST of all time
>listening to anime soundtracks outside of anime
Fucking seriously?
Welcome to the NHK should be mentioned more in OST threads.
I listened to Madoka soundrack despite the fact I dropped it in episode 3.
Is there a problem, officer?
I'd say about 40% of the soundtracks I have are from anime I've never watched. Probably around 60% for anime I haven't completed.
Yes and?
Boggles my mind how well basically anything sound related this anime was. One of the best seiyuu ensembles I've seen with top tier OPs, EDs and soundtrack.
I just download some random shit sometimes. How do I get organized?
Haven't listened to the OST, but I did notice the OP and some of the EDs were bretty gud.
I just throw it all on my phone and hit shuffle. Things I like get saved to playlists based on type of music, if its bad I delete it.
Made this 3x3 a while back. Probably could do better now, but I opted for some more stylish images
Get rid of release group names (or not).
Organize them in alphabetical order by series.
Profit.
I've also grouped things that I have a lot of albums for in single folders, but that's of course optional.
Probably his best work. Soundtrack actually had different world elements/languages in an anime that took place around the world.
>best girl, best OST in whole thread
good job user
I've been in love with this song for years
youtube.com
This.
T7 was a music masterpiece.
and this one as well.
On the topic, what do you guys use to play your music on pc? I've been using Windows media player but I want something better, preferably where I can set the image for a playlist
I can't believe I never realized Hamaguchi shirō does most of the P.A. Works OSTs.
Truly he is a master of 癒し系.

Winamp/Foobar2000
This thread is woefully incomplete without Gunslinger Girl's OST getting at least a mention.

There's a lot of great composers in anime, but Sahashi is still my number one. Although Otani did well with GSG as well.
youtube.com
Ga-ga-ga-ga-GATCHAMAN!!! Every time. Love it.
Only 60%? Pretty much the only thing I listen to anymore is OSTs.
Kabaneri has some individually strong pieces, but it overall lacks the strong unifying them of AoT, or KlK, or Gundam Unicorn.
Never much cared for listening to Wixoss's ost outside the series, but the way it was utilized in series was absolute 10/10 sound direction. Although going off your image, 5ds had a damn amazing OST.

Actually, I listen to the 5ds OST a lot while playing Webxoss. Is that some kind of blasphemy?
foobar2000 is great for it's insane range of customization. It's also a really lightweight program if that's at all a concern for you.
