How much storage do you use up for anime?

How much storage do you use up for anime?

0TB

>Anime & Manga

This.

About 30 gigabytes (as much as my Sup Forums folder)

2TB

>Sup Forums folder
>>>/reddit/

I only keep space for weekly episodes

I have 390 MB free.

About 5TB of archived stuff so far.

This. Why the fuck people archive entire seasons if they can just torrent it if they want to watch it again?

Most of the shows I watched I delete them right away. It would be too many to save them all and I might not rewatching most of them anyway

6TB

amateur

I don't even watch most of this shit, the fuck is wrong with me.

Huh?
>what is streaming
>spending space on anime when you can in one google search find anything

>pirate scum

Not much at the moment. Lost a hard drive so my main collection is FUBAR.
Only 70GB of actual anime, and 50GB of fanart.

...

It's like this; if you lived through the great depression you're more likely to stockpile in case of major problems.

>Storing anime
>Not commit it to your brain memory via photographic memory

I only keep the ones I know I will rewatch or if it's just really fuckin good.
so a little less than 150gb

I had 3*3Tb full, but removed most of the backlog and completed shows, so it's now about 2Tb total on all drives.

This external and about another TB on my internal. It's slowly growing larger as I get around to downloading shit I missed

I always delete what I watched. The only show that I have stored is Oreimo.

>having all this anime in your storage
>still feel miserable

What do

...

Just enough for airing seasonal shit, backlog, and stuff that has rewatch value for me. It just think it's a waste to archive shitty anime you've already watch. I mean what kind of situation would you need to keep the usual harem trash. You probably watched it with a shit eating grin like I did but you wouldn't rewatch it.

Fucking faggot. Go watch better incest.

This is what private trackers do to people.

>150 gb

That's like 2 coalgirl rips.

get an external and back your shows up ASAP unless you want to hold a funeral.

Seeders.

It also contains some manga, both seasons of The Hero Yoshihiko and the Grumpy Jii-san videos some user uploaded a while ago

That's pretty admirable.

Huh I seem to have almost 3 TB full now, last time I checked I barely pushed 2TB.
I guess it's time for a clean up.

Three TB drives are full of anime, image galleries and erogames, about 600Gb used on my main drive for seasonal shows that I haven't transfered over yet

Obviously, you will have to deal with getting BD repacks instead individual episodes.

177GB. I don't have a long backlog; never saw the point in downloading something if I'm not going to watch it soon. And I rarely re-watch anime.

This. Although I have 1tb full. That's more of a reflection of me downloading faster than I can watch, though.

Currently around 250GB of anime and 40GB of manga. I used to stream, but I stopped doing that and started downloading everything.

6Tb or so.

What's the problem with that?

none

...

About 2.5 TB out of 3 TB right now.

>that one guy who stores up TBs of anime but never bothers to watch 80% of it

...

Big drives make me paranoid now. This 3tb drive barely lasted 2 years

I'm , I only keep stuff I've watched and liked.

I delete all anime immediately after watching

...

>download
>watch
>delete
I can never watch the same thing twice, it feels sickening to me.

Just deleted my archive and redownloading all of it in hi10p encode. Saves space.

Most of the space I need is for DVD/BD rips. I buy a lot of stuff myself too and most of it I haven't even yet ripped. Comes up to 2.5+ TB (2.88TB for my "rips" folder but it's not all anime). I still have a bunch of partly downloaded series in qbittorrent too, can't afford to download it all at once because of download cap. After ripping all my stuff and downloading what's in my client I think it will exceed 3.5TB easily.

I keep good encodes of good movies too, especially BD encodes of grainy old movies can be 10+GB and it would be a pain to redownload. I delete most stuff I wouldn't rewatch though. Same with TV series. I also keep stuff that I remux (usually to fix subs or add subs to raws) or encode myself, and rare VHS rips even if it's shitty YouTube rips. I've already seen a few deleted from YT and not available anywhere else, and shit rips usually don't take much space anyway so it's worth it.

Then I keep some stuff on backlog, but most of it is just paused at 0% in qbittorrent if it's on BBT or not likely to be deleted or unseeded any time soon.

...

>backlog just keeps growing

5-6TB

If I really like the show, I'll keep a FLAC copy around.

If not, I just store it as some shitty h264 compression.

So most of my archive is full of < 10gb per cour rips, helps keep space conserved.

How the fuck can you guys afford multiple-terabyte drives?

>I'll keep a FLAC copy around
How do you know what image to attach to your post if you're blind?

Get on my level, plebs.

...

>Not being upper class in first world

What are you doing on this site? Go, plumb some toilets so you can eat.

because drive prices have recovered since that natural disaster that fucked up all the production facilities.

You can get a multiple TB drive for under 100 USD now

they last like 3-4 years. Buy one during black friday or xmas for like 70$

>together with video game backlog, porn backlog, VN backlog, LN backlog, manga backlog and movie backlog
>and I still spend hours on Sup Forums every day

...

A 2TB drive costs less than $100 these days, and anything below 4TB is fairly stable.

Are several, smaller drives "safer" than one big one? If so, I'd rather have the higher cost and hassle of the former.

having a lack of drive space is so archaic, they're cheap as fuck

Are you taking about SSDs now?

>tfw you were planning to upgrade your storage place and then your old hd died

I usually skim through all the porn I download and delete the honey pots right away and save the gems

As long as you don't go full retard and get a 4TB+ Seagate or something it should be fine.

Used to have 1-2TB but I realized I never cared about it so I removed everything

do you just have a NAS box / home FTP server?

Get on my level.

If money isn't a problem, the getting a NAS is better.
Multiple tiny drives is just a hassle

Are you litteraly 100 years old?

I hope your surge protector fails on you

I'm not american desu.

My computer has a single 250 gigabyte HDD split into three partitions, and every single one has about 500 megabytes free space left on them..

Why the fuck do you keep things you have watched? For exemple you dl VVV, you have a fun time then what? You're not gonna rewatch that shit right? Then delete it

>I'm not american desu.
Nigga that doesn't matter. If you're that fucking poor you've got bigger things to worry about than chinese cartoon storage.

...

Rewatching stuff with friends
Keeping bluray rips

>Windows drive
>on a NAS drive

Is that even fucking possible? I'm not very tech literate, if that wasn't obvious already.

I save my pay by not not eating good for couple of months and buy a new drive.

>3TB drives

I have a 8TB what's the matter with that?

LOL, didn't even know windows handled petabytes but cool pic bro, it's bs but cool pic

759 MB

Why do you guys save shows? I just delete them after I finish watching them, they're stored in my head anyway. I only rewatch shows a few years afterwards if I want, and I'll just redownload them.

But besides that, I support the studios by buying BDs and crunchyroll

Higher risk of drive failure until they've been making those bigger drives for a while, and being overpriced as well.

And on another note I didn't even know they were making 8TB drives already.

I stopped doing that when nothing came out of that TPP thing. That's the last time I'm falling for the doomsday meme.

that's less space than a single episode. How.

I bought this external hdd a month ago

Life is suffering.

>mfw people unironically use Crunchyroll and/or other streaming services for their anime
How do you live that way? I'm genuinely curious.

this

I stream or read manga. Dont care about pixel count or the fact that its upscaled

He collects Real video files from ages past?
