Let me tell you something. I'm in the southeast of the island (Las Piedras) and that thing will not make landfall on our beautiful island. Even if we have to physically blow it away, that thing won't touch us. Trust me!

Pretty much. Shit is going up and down like some kind of natures rollercoaster. I reallt regret never buying that 30k powerbank battery. Rip my vidya entertainment. No cards to play either.
Oliver Flores
Eastside of eyewall looks very strong. St. Croix is going to feel it as well.
Lucas Ramirez
I'm sick of fucking hurricanes. It's depressing that these storms keep destroying these gorgeous islands.
Joseph Scott
Are you guys concrete, concrete block or wood framed in PR?
South Florida made a pretty strict ever since Hurricane Andrew fucked shit up and flattened Homestead. The code used in the county was later expanded to cover the entire state, and a lot of older buildings from what I've seen in this area that were around before Andrew are made of concrete anyway. The issue lies up in some of the older buildings up north I think? But generally yeah, Florida houses are pretty fucking sturdy and built using concrete.
This article probably explains it better than I could.
>we might not have power not for weeks but MONTHS Oh HELL no.

You need to buy gas. as much as you can.
you also need a waterbed. Having a nice cool waterbed to sleep on at night is the only fucking thing that kept me sane after Georges
my gf and i were sleeping great while everyone around us was sweltering for a month after the hurricane
Brandon Phillips

>tfw comfy nyc >Only a little wind and rain, lads.
if you watch the pet goat video youll see that the old grandma originally scoffs at the size of the hurricane but then unexpectedly she sees it become a great deal exactly like you just said
We're geared up and ready for action here in Las Piedras. Any other town ready?
William Watson
Maria in the range of Puerto Rico's radar. Getting close.
Blake Howard
>>Models could show both hurricanes Jose and Maria to meet at one point
But.. isn't this bad for happening? Just their own windwalls speeding up makes them speed down to merge. If two merge it's bound to cancel out a lot of the energy too. Like dissonant waves.
Cooper Reyes
I lived here though Georges and Hugo which was worse. We're looking at months with no water and power. Nights here can be 80'F. Hopefully they make the airport work asap after it hits.
William Flores
we need the hurricane to shift far left and erase Haiti from the Earth
Owen Campbell
