Let us discuss the spiral anomaly over Norway that happened December 9, 2009.
The official explaination from wikipedia:
On 10 December 2009, the Russia Ministry of Defence suggested an explanation, stating that a Bulava missile test had failed. According to a spokesman, "The missile's first two stages worked as normal, but there was a technical malfunction at the next third stage of the trajectory." Russian defence analyst Pavel Felgenhauer stated to AFP that "such lights and clouds appear from time to time when a missile fails in the upper layers of the atmosphere and have been reported before ... At least this failed test made some nice fireworks for the Norwegians." Prior to the Russian statement, Jonathan McDowell, an astrophysicist at the Harvard–Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, had already suggested that the unusual light display occurred when the missile's third stage nozzle was damaged, causing the exhaust to come out sideways and sending the missile into a spin.

All the light patch area around the spiral was the fuel being gassed out and spreading, once the fuel in the missile ran out it could no longer leak out thus the remaining fuel around the rocket continued to spread out due to momentum leaving behind empty space/upper atmosphere which doesn't reflect sunlight over the horizon thus looking like an expanding black patch while in reality it was just the surrounding gas escaping.

Rockets use fuel, in this case liquid fuel under pressure. What happens if a pressurised canister gets a leak? The contents start coming out with great force. If the leak was anywhere other than at the center of mass of the rocket it would make it spin, spewing the fuel out in a spiral.
What happens to liquids in a low pressure environment? Yes it turns into a gas that expands rapidly until it reaches equilibrium with its surroundings. In vacuum it will just keep expanding forever pretty much. A rocket that is that high up can be hit by sunlight behind the horizon even if it is nighttime, that is why it looks like it's illuminated, the fuel/gas cloud is quickly moving away from the spinning rocket due to momentum and is back lit by the sun beyond the horizon. Then fuel runs out and no more fuel/gas is let out, the residual gas keeps expanding outwards leaving behind the ordinary dark night sky.

Between the two perspectives I'm more confident in my electromagnetic field theory that it was generated by a pancake coil and Tesla coil. Water being diamagnetic substance was pushed away from the field causing it to condense and become visible.

Hmm it does bring up an interesting point though. I did Google it and looks like it is about like 500 kilometers or so from Moscow where the Tesla coils are. I see there's a hydroelectric dam in the area but almost no other facilities that are googlable for me in English.
