Mushoku Tensei

>muh voiceless incantations
>muh gary stu eyes
>muh infinite mana
>muh king class magic
>muh magic negation
>muh libido
>muh adultery
>muh threesome
why is Rudeus so shit? He ruined the entire series.

How is there not an anime of this yet?

This is bait thread sure, but to be fair I can't get into the series for almost the same reason as OP.

The MC is a very creepy dude.

>Battle with Paul
>gets his ass kicked

>Battle with kidnappers
>has to get saved by Ghysuline

>Battle with Snake
>kids die

>captured by beastmen
>has to get saved by Ruijerd

>captured with Pax
>has to get saved by Zanoba

>Battle with Orsted
>has to get saved by Banana

>Battle with Badi
>ass-kicked

>Battle with Hydra to rescue parent
>other parent dies

>OP Future Rudi
>fails at everything forever

>Second round with Orsted
>becomes Orsted's bitch

>Asura arc
>has to be saved by Orsted

>Pax arc
>fails miserably, almost loses Roxy which was the entire point of the second half of the series

>Milis arc
>misunderstanding

>Final arc
>saved by Orsted

Rudi status = jobber
I can't believe people think he's competent let alone OP

>The MC is a very creepy dude.
The whole story is about him over coming it ( mostly ), with the help of whole some ( polygamous ) family values.

he has nothing on Tales of Demons and God's MC

old fuck is brought back to when he was a kid and keeps hitting on the girl he fell in love with in her past life, who currently is also still a kid.

At least Paul calls Rudi out on his Genji plan bullshit,

Is this the LN thread? Pic related ended.

Jesus Christ, censor that picture.

I declare this greater than Mushoku Tensei, prove me wrong.

need to read it first (but with a female protag I'm inclined to agree).

what other novels actually finished so far

I mean there's MT, ate the death god, monkey ojou, and coiling dragon

Need more... Nanasawa.

Is that the LN where she raises her husbando?

...

What happened with BT is down?

Weren't they just moving servers?

Heads up, I'm translating Aisha Arc. Should be done in a week or two.

I thought the author deleted Aisha Arc.

It wasn't intentional, but that just makes it better. The finale also has all of the other potential fates for him coming together to help him, including oyakodon end and sexy mad scientist end.
Also it seems to be widely accepted in-setting by the other women that there's no way in hell he's going to be faithful.

That's why I'm translating it.

Just thanks to this image I'm going to read this LN, I assume the MC and her are a couple at this point right?

I dropped it once I realized he wasn't going to be banging any lolis. Rudeus a gay.

>I dropped it once I realized he wasn't going to be banging any lolis

Go back to pedo.

>>>/reddit/

They hook up in the second to last volume, but there's only 8 so it doesn't drag out too long. Also the series goes by a format for three sets if main characters, though Shinobu(the guy in the pic) is the "main" main character. The other two sets are a detective who attracts middle school girls and then the older sister of one of said middle school girls who is sort of a supernatural mercenary. I should also add the detective and mercenary are both fully grown adults if you're sick of it always being high school students.

Wasn't a sequel to this supposed to be developed with a different MC? When will it be written?

>it's okay when the mother does it

Reading Commushou. Best Breast-feeding NTR porn novel.

Any idea what this novel is about? Art seems good. Found it in another ln thread quite a while ago.

Minor typo, there's 9 volumes.

He starts to get over that. I totally agree, the dude is the worst kind of NEET creep to start off with but his self-consciousness of it constant efforts to fix it make it a pretty great story in the end.

So this guy is not even the main character, just one of the three mc's present in the LN?

He identifies one of the main girls as a loli on sight and she does not at age all throughout the series.

Of the three, he's the primary main character, so to speak. The critical endgame in the novels almost always falls to him.

WN updates never.

Fuck you guys. I liked it.

Is World Three STILL not done translating the Adventurer Chapter?

Dunno, for all its flaws it was a nice little thing, can't really hate it.

Nei Li is a creepy stalker level fucker. Good call. He's also a wish fullfillment gary stu. I mean the girls he's macking on are all

Are you pastebinning it or sending it to pielord?

It's fucking ridiculous. Someone needs to nut up and do it themselves.

>BT epub generator images are still broken
Fuck, I can't read this shit on a computer screen, I need my Kindle

It's a highly overrated series to begin with, never understood Sup Forums's obsession with it.

Babby's first isekai reincarnation series. Kind of like how Haruhi was pretty overrated in retrospect.

It's also the only good reincarnation LN.

>I mean there's MT, ate the death god, monkey ojou, and coiling dragon
only LN/WN that really competes with MT is probably "I shall Seal the heavens"; coiling dragon gets better the further in you get, but the first half on the mortal plane sucks donkey balls.

I don't hate it and it was entertaining me when I read it but I'd be lying if I thought X character wasn't an idiot, douche, jackass, hypocrite, psychopath, or whatever else in most LN's that I've read

Not even close.

this

>I dropped it once I realized he wasn't going to be banging any lolis. Rudeus a gay.
roxy is a perma-deadpan-loli.

What's better then?

...

Kenkyo

>wuxia or xianxia shit
>in any way, shape or form good
There's a damned good reason I filtered out pretty much everything written by a gook or chink.

konosuba is pretty good. not sure if i'd rate it over MT, seeing as how they're almost completely different genres.

we're never going to get pics of the kids at this rate.

Konosuba is transportation, not reincarnation.

Kumo for starters.
They're both reincarnation/isekai nonsense so you can.

Man this series grabbed me by vol 1 and I came out of it loving it and actually satisfied with the ending. There's pretty much nothing else I could ask of it.
It executes its story far better than most. There wasn't any part of it I really disliked. I'd happily re-read just about any part of the story.

>There's a damned good reason I filtered out pretty much everything written by a gook or chink.
"I shall seal the heavens" is unreasonably good in comparison to usual wuxia/xianxia stuff.

The author has a top tier sense of humor, and the MC (Ming Hao) is one of my favorites in any medium.

>pretty much everything

Out of curiosity, what haven't you filtered?

That's not his mom, that's one of his household's resident Yokai.

Not him but I haven't heard of these ones, or at least the names aren't ringing any bells. What are Kumo and Kenkya?

does anyone have rare tanukis?

Doesn't he still have a rotting corpse back on Earth though?

Is there some japanese site where you can browse by tags or something?
I was in the mood for something fantasy but holy shit there's so much reincarnation/dimensional travelling stuff I'm struggling to find anything "normal"

pastebin like I always had. Here's initial draft for the first two chapters, if anyone want roughs:

pastebin.com/YNNzUSa5
pastebin.com/g8zUbRSE

I'll put them on BT if I can find some proofers to edit the grammar a bit.

...

Kenkyo is a cute story about a girl who wakes up one day as the villain of her favorite otomege.

Kumo is a cute story about a girl who wakes up as a spider.

Oh the spider reincarnation one I've been seeing now and then. Been meaning to pick that one up.

>"here we go again"

Trying to find regular jap fantasy is pretty hard nowadays due to the flood of narou and syousetu stuff getting turned into LNs and published seeing as the majority of those are isekai or reincarnation things.

>If it’s taken as a given that people cheat their way to the top in society, then in order for a narou protagonist to succeed, he needs to be placed into a world where his own particular skills can be used as cheats.
>It’s no surprise, then, that the vast majority of isekai stories are based on JRPG-inspired worlds, particularly the pseudo-medieval settings of the Dragon Quest series and the early Final Fantasy games.
>It also explains why everything seems to fall into place for these narou protagonists as soon as they figure out the “trick” to succeeding – and why very few of them ever manage to achieve conventional success in their own worlds, even at the end of their stories.
>Umetsubame explained this cynicism is a result of the current social climate. Japan is past its economic bubble, there is no job security for young people, and in order to get hired you need to bury your individuality. Instead of pathologising narou fans, he points to society’s arbitrary standards of success as the underlying problem. You can work and work and work, but still be laid off your job. Narou stories function not only as escapist fiction, but also as an affirmation of this particular worldview.

They seem to be under the impression people can't self insert if the main character isn't from Japan and doesn't try to be at least somewhat genre savvy.

Try Nanasawa's stuff, closest to regular fantasy stuff I've read in a while, flame ring and girl that ate a deathgod are mostly civil war stuff with low magic elements so have fun with those.

>Konosuba animated
>Re:Zero animated
It's funny how quickly isekai shit became so proliferated until we have already managed to reach postmodern deconstruction isekai.

TDG is shit,
you want a MC who gets things done?
not arrogant, gets faced with assholes all day?
made a promise not to be an ass?
Has a big plan and will the best to achieve it?
Read Reincarnator

Yeah there's so much stuff being churned out I'm honestly at a loss whenever I want to get into something new.
Sometimes I like the art, then read some preview introduction and cringe at how fanfiction level the writing is.
I'm bad at this stuff, where do japanese people get LN information from when they're looking to start some new series?

Probably just a one shot made for a magazine. It's written by Kamachi, but it's not on his page, so.
Art is by the Blood Sign artist.

Why does Aisha look exactly the same now as she did five years ago?

It didn't work so well as Usagi Drop and had to take several absurdly convoluted turns to reach that point, so it's fine.

I just dive in into things and see if it manages to repulse me. There's also a thing with a beastman mercenary and witch shimikaze that seems to be pure fantasy with no isekai or reincarnation stuff, seems pretty decent so far, thing is it's getting translated by Nanodesu so I'm going to be old and grey before it's done.

What's with all the fucking sparkles, did they kidnap a shojo manga artist to illustrate this?

Better love story than twilight

being Norn sucks.

...

That must be the new house. It's funny, that's exactly how I pictured it.

>Kizu is now available as an Audible audiobook
What a time to be alive

Stuff with girl MCs (that arent gender bender) tend to be higher quality for some reason.
MT just has the advantage of being fully translated.
I personally like Akuyaku Tensei Dakedo Doushite Kou Natta. in addition to the other stuff mentioned for one example.

Just because it features a protagonist who came from our world doesn't mean it can't be regular fantasy. The dealbreaker is JRPG or MMO elements

More updates when.
Eh, a good writer can salvage anything, just look at stuff like Lazy King.

Well fuck me, I "finished" reading Deathgod the other day and thought it ended with her eating the other guy and I was so devastated with the ending being so open, thank god I checked this thread and noticed there was a Final chapter.

On another note, is anyone else reading Genjitsuhugisha? It's sooo good, you can tell the author actually did his homework in politics, it's a bit painful how the translations are so slow though.

Mr lyle is best boy.
Only 4 ancestors left ;-;

Long live colonel Schera's potato field.

>Ming
It's Meng you infidel.

704 when?

The ancestors are pretty much the best part of the book, so having them go away all the time makes me not want to read further.

It was basically the first isekai to become popular on Sup Forums and it got very rapid translations. Stuff like that tends to generate popularity regardless of the quality. Remember when Terra Formars got basically speedscanned and Sup Forums wouldn't shut up about it for a few weeks before it petered off? Or when Tomo-chan showed up and continued going with daily threads?
Things that produce a lot of content quickly generate interest, that's just how it is. Now that more isekai works are being adapted and translated, MT's overall quality is easier to see in comparison.
MT also has some other positives; it has quite an interesting start if you're into worldbuilding, for example.

At least we have Mr lyle.

Speaking of Blood Sign I hope js06 gets back to that sometime, I read what was translated but didn't realize he didn't finish the first volume so now I have proverbial blue balls. I liked what was there despite the massive info dumping because of the White Queen and Kyousuke felt like how I imagined post-NT10 Touma to act with personal experience about why you don't stick your dick in crazy.

>Read the web novel
>It is written horribly, with no subtlety or tact whatsoever
>It's already a published LN and manga, with even the possibility of an anime

I'm now considering writing a WN of my own, just because I could write like total crap and still gain a militant following.

I ignored Blood Sign because I knew it wouldn't get translated during my lifetime, whoever now that you say that about sticking dick in crazy my interest piked. What happened after he stuck his dick in crazy?
