What makes Mob Psycho 100 different from other Shonen? the art-Style of the anime
>Kageyama Shigeo (a.k.a. "Mob") is a 8th grader with psychic abilities. He could bend spoons and lift objects with his mind from a young age, but he slowly began to withhold from using his abilities in public due to the negative attention he kept receiving. Now, the only thing he wants is to become friends with a girl in his class, Tsubomi. With his psychic "mentor" (who has no psychic powers), he continues his daily life, attempting to realize his purpose in life.
The synopsis make it look like a slice of life fused with some battle shonen.
>The synopsis make it look like a slice of life fused with some battle shonen That's pretty much it but actually well done, except for the lastest arc but it won't be in the anime anyway.
Try not to ruin the threads when the anime starts, faggot.

read the manga
Benjamin Peterson
Nothing, really except maybe for the good comedy in the early chapters It devolves into generic trash rather quickly though
Parker Flores
A kid with special powers just wants to be normal and do normal things like getting a girlfriend and working out. That's like the opposite of your typical shonen-aimed series.
Alexander Morris
The art style looks like ping pong midgets aka complete shit.

>What makes Mob Psycho 100 different from other Shonen? The early comedy
While I'm not a huge Mob Psycho fan I agree with the trailer looking great I love it when animators are allowed to go crazy and I'll definitely watch it even if it's for the animation alone
Jace Williams
Normalshits will watch this because of OPM and will drop it because of the artsyle
Jonathan Thomas
Is it better than OPM? I have seen in OPM before.
Benjamin Young
>fused with some battle shonen. there is no real battrle until episode 02 or 03
Dylan Hughes
Both focus on a main character who is way overpowered compared to the villains they come up against. The difference is that Mob is a teenager (a very emotional time in a person's life) who is still trying to learn how to control powers that are unfortunately controlled by emotions.
OPM has a more creative concept, but I'd argue that Mob has more interesting character development. Both are good. Just good in different ways.
This picture is from the omake in which Saitama show up, it happens after 9 chapter so i guess they will with 1 episode = 4 chapters.
Jace Davis
I guess they want the OPM audience by animating this omage with Saitama, though, i'm glad they're animating the omakes because they're the best later in the manga when it becames too shonen.
Nicholas Russell
>OPM was incredibly successful and the reason this anime was possible Yeah, I can't blame them

Manga adaptations have the most cancerous fanbases, holy shit.
Gabriel Allen
>animators are allowed to go crazy I hope they will
Aiden Cruz
Mob Psycho won a pool to be animated, it wasn't for being the same autor that OPM
Owen Morgan
What's wrong here? Op asked what to expect from the anime, and was directed to the anime's source material. What's cancerous about that?
it's just like said, it's thanks to OPM that we have Mob anime.

Hot diggity. Though why is it taking over a year?
Sebastian Murphy
i have no idea. Maybe it's going to be made by the same studio as Sinbad no bouken so they're busy now or i don't know. It's funny because Mob psycho 100 who lost in the poll will have an anime before Kengan Ashura who won.
Joshua Davis
That's actually normal. There was an article for Concrete Revolutio that did have the director explain how long it takes before the first episode is even being worked on. I can't find it anymore (I think I saw it as part of a daisuki-tweet), but in general, the creation of an anime show from its inception does take that long. Deals have to be made, manpower has to be organized, you need to get all the sponsors on board, it needs to all be given the okay by the company president, the voice actors must be chosen, a time slot must already be booked and so on.
Jackson Hall
Anime production takes a long time.
Ethan Bennett
So far Yoshimichi Kameda and Gosei Oda are confirmed to be working on MP100, they were one of the lead animators on OPM.
Michael Reed
It's a shonen? It seems that i'm the only idiot that never look at the tags. I think is more a SoL than anything, it's focused much more if not entirely on the character development, so the people that didn't like OPM because "Saitama was a bore" will love this one.
Adam Gomez
slice of life is a genre, shonen is a demographic.
Brandon Roberts
>shonen it's a demographic and Ura sunday is a shonen web publisher. It follows the usual shonen criteria later though
"i need to protect my friend" etc against the president in the chapter 91.

Fuck you, boss arc is great when you read it as a whole (not ongoing). Boss fight is probably the best in the series.
