This is a thread for the discussion of all ideologies that promote self-ownership, individual liberty and the natural order. These include (but are not limited to) anarcho-capitalism, paleolibertarianism, minarchy, objectivism and anti-leftism (i.e. physical removal, so to speak). All others are welcome to learn and debate us. Reminder that this is a right-wing thread, so libertine degenerates ('live and let live' faggotry), open-border advocates and faux-libertarians (e.g. Gary Johnson) are not welcome here - people here recognise that property rights imply discrimination and a return to traditional, conservative values. Although questions are welcome, many are repeated often, so it is recommended you research the basics first. Nobody here is obligated to debate with you, so try to avoid using fallacies in your arguments or creating unrealistic scenarios.

Please explain why you think libertarians cannot be on the economical right, Dutchbro.

The Libertarian party cares more about socially leftist egalitarianism and weed than actual Libertarian philosophy.
They are basically the cultural Marxists party at this point.
Bentley Cruz
Oh, right, the party. Everything I've seen of them is total shit, so I agree.
James Nelson
>economical right liberal economics are not right wing, clearly left wing. Both communistm and libertatianism are purely materialistic ideologies that rely on destruction of certain values such as heroism, national unity and patriotism
Caleb Torres
Your parents must be related. The classical liberals like Jefferson were heroistic revolutionary white nationalists.
Actually read the things The founding fathers said. They were all about National unity.
Jordan Anderson
This statement is completely retarded. Are you sure you aren't one of those Nazi idiots? This sounds like something they would say unironically.
Gavin Gutierrez
so are you guys more destinationists or directionalists in regards to individual liberty ?
Jordan Hall
Liberals and libertarians are not the same. In principle we believe that nothing should be regulated and that people are free to do what they wish without government intervention.
This does not mean that one can be as obnoxious and degenerate as they wish to be in public, for society around them will have their own social codes and ethics that need not be enforced by a state.
Furthermore, communism is an ideology that thrives on appropriating property from individuals through the means of theft. Right-wing economics on the other hand thrives on a free and open market, in which the individual decides what to buy, sell or donate through personal choice (aka: voluntary action).
To equate capitalism with communism is an oxymoron.
Colton Thomas
OP here btw. Phoneposting is clunky as shit.

Destination. If we promote a 10% cut on income tax instead of ideal abolition who will promote Libertarianism?
As Rothbard said, we can surely show support for incrementalism, but we must be uncompromising radicals in our ideals.

Hi guys, I own libertarianright.org/, set it up when these threads were first going on. I don't really have the time to lurk here much anymore, too busy irl.

On another note its fantastic to see the threads are still going strong!

In my opinion, Trump while certainly not a Libertarian, is one of the better options we have. I would not oppose him unless he really fucks up. As far as Rand goes I don't know, I'm not too fond or familiar of her.
Carson Parker
very true >for society around them will have their own social codes and ethics which will be defined by the culture. libertarianism promotes an individualistic culture. hence it would be strange for an individualist to feel any responsibility to those who have done nothing in return for such a favour. it would require selflessness. I remember watching a friedman interview where he is asked what he thinks about leaving a better environment to his grandchildren, to which he responded that his grandchildren have not done anything for him so why would he go out of his way. The individual is shaped by the environment (culture, religion etc.) these oftentimes do not bring any short term material gains, and the ethics of a civilization will reflect that. >Right-wing economics this is fukcing retarded. why would you call it right wing, when it represents no reactionary values. they are liberal/laissez faire however you want to call it. there is nothing right-wing about it >To equate capitalism with communism is an oxymoron im equating their effects on society. >fuck her you could call it that I geuss.

>laissez-faire immediately means something is not right-wing
while you would generally be right, you can sustain economic theory while still being considered right-wing. Friedman and Austrian economics dictate divergence from centralized figures and debt, or usury, incurred from government intervention from such centralized figures. Think destabilizing the interest rates thanks to central banks being bailed out by government interest. Think deadweight loss from your local farmer as an incurred negative from government haste to quell union concerns.
Since it's so radicalized and the summary perspective would be to equate individualist rampancy with laissez-faire Austrian economics in particular, it would be easier to classify it as an evolution of the market designed for preservation and aversion from government economic intervention, so as to avoid this fallacy that it's left-wing.
The left-wing equivalent for competition would obviously be socialist, Marxist, and Keynesian economics. Policies like Propertarianism and Georgism lean a little further left, but that's for the apprehension of excess flush and void from the market, to counteract devaluation of property and people within contractual obligations (Propertarianism) and to sustain equitable payments towards mandatory services with partial land taxation (Georgist).
State intervention in Marxism, socialism and Keynesian economics is the defining factor of why Austrian and Friedman economics are considered closer to the conservative side of economics. It's relatively young and tends to trip the "liberal radar" but it's, generally, a system to comprehend the power of laissez-faire markets and disciplined, guided (not struck) people in them.
Benjamin Jones
>"The weaker the states exploitative powers the more wealth a capitalist society accumulates" >"The weaker a state is internally, the further developed capitalism is" >"A well developed capitalist system to extract from makes the state richer" >"And the richer state then makes for more and more successful expansionist wars" >"Thus seemingly paradoxically, the weaker the state acts domestically, the stronger it can act externally"
So that's his plan. To build the ultimate power. The greatest, strongest, most brutal, most aggressive, empire the world has ever seen.
Look at this video of Tom Woods and Kinsella discussing Hoppe. As we suspected, Hoppe couldn't care less when his "critics" call him a racist or a homophobe. He just laughs in their faces.

This. Libertarians, and advocates for private property rights should avoid the LP like a plague. It has become a front for left-"libertarians" and egalibertarian garbage.
Aaron Hall
Your post is causing me all sorts of confusion, are you in favor of our self determination?
Michael Howard
>Egalibertarian Thank you for coining that, that's a perfect word for those faggots.
Bentley Torres
Why are there so few libertarians in Europe and so many in the USA?
Caleb Gomez
America was founded on Libertarianism. Real hardcore American conservatism is Libertarianism.
Robert King
Nice find. I'm having a listen right now.
Ayden Gomez
Less social cohesion (in the us) for one
Jeremiah Bell
The only problem I have with paleocons is their opposition to free trade. If not for that, they would basically be libertarians, seeing as they support decentralization (federalism) and limited government (muh Constitution).
You're welcome. Spread it. We need more people to reject the LP and find non-statist solutions to the statist problem.
The USA has a unique culture based on individualism and limited government that Europe never really had. Europe began the Enlightenment, obviously, but that trend faded in Europe pretty soon, and then Europe sunk right back into despotism and imperialism.
On the other hand, the United States as a nation was established on the principles of classical liberalism. We have a short and easy history compared to the clusterfuck of Europe, which is why American identity is so strong and clear to us. We know who we are.
Well, most of us, anyway.
They say these things, they call you a Nazi, because they want you to be intimidated and fearful. If you don't give them that fear, then you have infinitely more power than them.
Joseph Jenkins
>American identity is so strong and clear to us no one really knows even what american identity consists of tbf
Caleb Martinez
*State enforced cohesion
Luke White
It is my dream to live in deep USA and not having to ask my government if I can build a fucking garage on my own property. But America is becoming more socialist every day from what I hear, unfortunately.
Ethan Martin
Thanks for enlightening me about American identity, Finland.
Alexander Perry
That's what I'm doing too. Looks like my dream may come true someday soon. But we do have a communist problem. This much is true.
Nathaniel Ortiz
>b-but m-my state. m-my country >i n-need to save my c-c-country. NATION! Space is so dead and empty! M-much better to take care of our own n-nation. My race, i mean their race needs more gibs! More taxes, ok?
This is why you should always judge a person at how high he wishes to impose the taxes. High taxes basically means economic martyrdom for others.
Never let homeless freaks and smalltime fish shame you into giving up your home and land to some delusional ideas such as nation and "race". These are dumb religions and cults that lead to nothing but sacrifice and zero gains.
What america was founded upon is irrelevant. Times are different and the circumstances are different. When america was founded there was land and resources in plenty and for everyone that could work and england was its only enemy. Anyone could afford a hourse, and a family. Today, even if you work, you get impoverished. If you study, you get impoverished, and if you go to war, you still get impoverished. Today america has plenty of enemies. This is why you need to be much smarter and more careful about trusting utopian concepts, such as ism's . They all claim they are the right ones, and believe the right things, just like religions.
Luis Stewart
I kek'd.
Dutch AnCap here, and I'm aware I have no right to dictate to US citizens what their identity is, not until I myself migrate to the US.
Jaxon Jackson
cohesion nevertheless. it transcends your thatcherite illustration of it am i wrong for saying that there are massively differing conceptions of american identity? the early anglo-saxon civilization you had has surely went through quite a metamorphosis. also. a tad ironic coming from america
Eli Foster
>nyone could afford a hourse, and a family. Today, even if you work, you get impoverished. If you study, you get impoverished, and if you go to war, you still get impoverished. Today america has plenty of enemies. And you think that it's because of libertarianism?

>Nomad >Zoroastrian flag

Christian Evans
I bet you're an expert in the United States and its culture, right, Sven?
Anarcho-capitalism isn't utopianism. We make no promises that a pure capitalist, propertarian society will produce absolute abundance and wealth and that we'll cure all disease, eliminate poverty, house and feed everyone, and all that bullshit. We're just saying things would be better than they are now.
Thomas Reed

exactly. that's why i challenged the original assertion of america having a clear identity.
Robert Jenkins
>Necessary viewing for literally everyone *Yuri Bezmenov video* so even you're agreeing with me that american identity has been rendered oblique and muddled. i don't get why you came after me just a while ago
Ian Gray
The American right still understands the national identity, even if the left doesn't.
Nolan Bailey
i would challenge you more on that, but the poll they did a while ago about the perceived importance of european ancestry is rather reassuring.
Austin Davis
that is, the people are not completely blinded by neoconservatives and their attempts to force all american conservatism onto a groove desired

My religion has no relation to what I believe politically. Rather, this flag is more of a signifier of who I am, rather than a true to form representation of Zoroastrianism + Libertarianism.
