Personally, he strikes me as a spoiled kid, who played victim all his life to great profit to himself. He was a great talent, but an arrogant and fragile little boy underneath. Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s offensive was initially successful in the northern countryside of Hama, as they seized several points from the Syrian Arab Army’s 47th Brigade of the 11th Tank Division.
However, the offensive would take a turn for the worse when reinforcements from the Syrian Arab Army’s elite Tiger Forces arrived to drive back the Al-Qaeda linked militants and retake the territory they lost.
As a result of this attack, more than 80 jihadists were killed, including Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s so-called ’emir’ of Aleppo.
The video footage below was released by a soldier with the Tiger Forces; it shows several dead jihadists near the town of Ma’an:
