I do my best to pirate anime daily and shitpost on Sup Forums.

Crunchyroll, BD and figurines.

Japan never established a strong market in the west. So no, I can't support them without buying expensive BDs and figurines. And I don't want those.

Occasionally buy expensive useless (but nice looking) plastic things

What does the college student do?

she sucks the Director's dick

>supporting anime industry
>the industry that is basically women orientated now and filled with moralfaggotry, also having no lolicon
Nope.
If anything, I'd support manga/LN industry, but anime can burn along the fujoshit it is meant for.

>$9,000

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!
Holy fuck! Class war when?

Should have just translated the titles.

Converting it to USD skews the inflation at any given time and gives readers a bias sense for their living costs.

>Chief animator
>44k

i feel sorry for Japan animation business. Ive worked as a 3d animator for 2 years in Canada and i make 40k

Well I could be supporting them a lot better if it wasn't for those jack asses at Harmony Gold.

Is the text under names their job description? If yes, translation please?

>meanwhile, working at the based hungarian police yields a good yearly $ 2.5k
Thank you based government.

>Crunchyroll
Nice bait

I'm not.

>How are you supporting the anime industry
I give it my best wishes and think warm thoughts about it whenever I'm downloading something.
Actually, no, I don't even do that

>Crunchyroll
>reddit

I fucking hate the industry.

>Crunchyroll

>supporting the anime industry

I mean, they already have a gajillion dollars. It wouldn't be an "industry" otherwise. They don't need my measly contribution.

>that massive drop from first and second top earners
wtf japan?

>measly contribution

Think of all those anons with those giant unlocalized collections of hotglue material and mango

>dL everything
>Buy used figures
>Buy used games
>Never watch dubs
Do I win?

>looking at anime at HMV
>twintails the complete series is $60
>japs pay that much for 2 episodes
I may not support the industry but at least im not getting screwed over.

>Episode Director
>$28,600
w-what the fuck
is the cost of living in japan a lot lower or something

Dildos?

>buying hotglued figures
Yeah, you win an award for being a massive faglord.

$9400? Is that really all?

>in Canada and i make 40k
For fuck's sake, this isn't a chatroom. Punctuate properly.

Also, thanks to Prime Minister Zoolander, our dollar's on par with monopoly money. You're $40k is probably worth the same as the Animator's 110,000 yen.

crunchy subscription, funi subscription, figures, manga, vidya.

Yes, newbie animators get 500 bucks a month. An experienced one will get 7-800

Jesus, how do they survive?

>Also, thanks to Prime Minister Zoolander, our dollar's on par with monopoly money
I know we all like talking shit about mister 2015 but at least it's going up from Harper's end days.

>I mean, they already have a gajillion dollars. It wouldn't be an "industry" otherwise.
>many studios are near bankruptcy

I have to help a brother out after they got reamed by the industry

>crunchy subscription, funi subscription
You're not even trying

Its the opposite. The cost of living is like 3x what it is in America. And significantly higher in Tokyo.

Are you a Trudeau fan? I've never met one that wasn't somebody's horny mom.

Probably multiple animator jobs on the side not to mention probably selling doujins on the side

lmao why does the college student make more than the animator? All she did was research the material.

so they all sleep in public parks or what?
are there no minimum wage laws?

Work several jobs on the side

>liking Stephen "obama's ass slaver" Harper
I vote green like a real nigga.

Woah, how accurate are those numbers?

If those are real, how come animators still exist? Wouldn't they get more by, you know, filling sacks and carrying boxes at supermarkets?

I hope you kys you ingnorant fuck...

Of course there are but what these people are forgetting is that studios arent in high living areas like Tokyo and these are salary, they get payed monthly ... the voice actor gets a lump sum for the work plus royalties but if you look you see at best they get 4 or 5 per year, of course its higher because its 2-4 months of work with no assurance after its done they will get another job.

>kys
>...

I hope you fucking die first, you Sup Forums retard.

Here are some figures from a recent survey.

>so they all sleep in public parks or what?
More like 450 sq foot apartments. Like those things you see bachelors in anime living in.

>are there no minimum wage laws?
There are. But tons of jobs, including animators, are not a part of those laws. And when animators tried to start a union, the animation companies fired tons of them. Because as bad of a job as it is, there's still 10 people waiting to take your place. And of course, people in China and Korea will do it even cheaper.

Most animators get paid for how much content they draw, not an hourly wage. So if an animator is able to churn out 5 minutes worth of stuff in a week, he gets paid a certain amount. If he only did 3 minutes worth, he gets paid less. So the next time you see a show with quality issues and bad animation, realize it was probably done by someone who got paid next to nothing and was rushing to get more done. Or even did half the animation for that one episode.

>are not a part of those laws
Why the fuck not?

Never been on v, you poor basement dweller.
You legitimately thought that if something is an industry, that everyone who works in it is paid well?
You might be a new form of retard in the spectrum...

>in japan you get paid to be a college student
Can I move there?

>I vote green
Magic unicorn party, good for you.
>like a nigga.
Exactly

>kys
Fuck off Mexican

>magic unicorn party
I don't even watch MLP, but that sounds like something from MLP.

No union, as I said. And the government doesn't care about the animation industry. This is a country that invented CDs, but took 20 years to enforce copyrights on them.

Is that all you could come up with now....
Also how in any way are spics and kys related?

>kys
You're that little Sanji shipper on the One Piece threads, aren't you.

>being in One Piece threads
You are literally worse than newfags.

Both hang out on Gaia.

What the fuck?

>being in One Piece threads
You should fucking know, kys-kid.

Some faggy kid who ships Sanji, and posts "kys" all the time.
It's him, the posting style's the same.

>animators really do work $1.

I hope nobody fell for this meme.

you need to go outside sometime.

Nigger, kys isn't some exclusive abbreviation someone in your wan piss shit threads thought up. Jesus fucking christ.

fucking Sanji shipper why dont you jump off a bridge

I watched the GuP movie 4DX edition a good 6 times already, shilling a good 1600 yen each run.

Where do you think you are?

>anime can burn along the fujoshit it is meant for
Maybe it is meant for fujoshit now because they actually buy shit and support the industry?

this

>Nigger, kys
No it's syphilitic little Yank text-speak. Now fuck off.

this honestly

You're right, its just 99% of the time, I never find spergs this bad

By complaining about it.

Why don't you two newfags run along, and lurk more before you decide to post again. That shit's never been acceptable here.

wow, you're so cool, I hope you mother actually loves you now.

Fucking sperg

Yes it is. What does it have to do with my post, you fucking retard?

>That shit's never been acceptable here.
Because I said it was? Stop moving goalposts because you said something completely retarded, you dumb shit.

2edgy4me

What, you implying otaku aren't buying things from anime?

Re:Zero, Haifuri, Macross, Kabaneri are at the top in disc sales of this season and they're otakushit.

>I live in Canada and i make 40k

*ftfy
So long as you're not living in the land of the free or the land of the rising sun, you're set.

Obviously, that's not it. But if fujoshi start buying the only fujobait show in a season and it's at the top of preorders/sales as a result, maybe there will be two or three fujo shows the next season because people catch on and notice it sells.
Of course, if there were suddenly 30 fujoshi shows in a season they wouldn't all magically get super high sales, since fujoshi can't shit money any more than otaku can.
But if anime is "meant for fujoshit" that's because there was a demand and they started buying it.

There's a crowdfund thread on helping animators yesterday and there's barely any rise on the number of backers.

People on Sup Forums doesn't care about helping the industry. They're just want to yell at each other about how their studio is better.

I will only help them if they animate what I want.

You realize the animators have literally no say in what they animate, right?

He said useless things

This guy can be a huge faggot sometimes, but he makes a good point here. Now I have a rule where if I especially enjoy a series after I finish it, I buy the BD or whatever merchandise for it, sort of as a token of appreciation.
youtube.com/watch?v=-AHo-_XEV6E

There's no incentive for people n Sup Forums, or really anyone outside of Japan, to back anime. They haven't established the industry in the west. They had a chance in the 80s and 90s, but didn't do it. They sold the rights to their shows to middle man companies like ADV and 4kids, who ran them so far into the ground, there was no way to sustain the market. It would be like if Hollywood sold the entire rights of their movies to a candy company in Japan. Then were surprised when the candy company didn't advertise or distribute Avatar well in Japan.

If Japan had developed a strong anime market, and more importantly, ADVERTISED anime as a medium, then they would have plenty of backers. Probably more people in America and Europe would be watching and buying anime than in Japan. But they didn't. And the vacuum they left let free online fansubs take over. Its actually a miracle that all Japanese people don't just pirate anime as well.

Then there's probably something in it for you. They once housed an animator that worked in action (Gundam G, Kabaneri) and a female animator that worked in CGDCT (Pleiades, Sansha sanyo)

Liike this.

>Cg animator gets paid more
Fucking why?

>supporting shitty industry which is geared towards otaku baiting
Japans economic fall cant come soon enough. After NEETs and otakus lose their monies we might get quality shows

I don't.

I'm sorry but what's the difference between producer and director

>$9000 a year
>my favorite healing/cute/fun shows are made through the suffering of others

Producer is administrative and deals with corporate side and facilitation of getting things made. Director is creative. Like a specialist writer with expert knowledge of the anime process.

What isn't?
