I can't seem to distinguish the difference between using に vs を. Tae Kim's definition of the two are similar in my perspective. Are they interchangable? Can anyone clear me up on how these particles work? Perhaps a layman's explanation. I'm just that autistic and english isn't my first language.

There's this guy on /r/learnjapanese who's been posting for years. Pretty much every time it's a multiple-choice question, from a textbook, and he's asking why he got it wrong. It's honestly pretty painful to see. It's the poster child for someone making the biggest mistake in language learning (youtube.com/watch?v=G5IPArDxO40): sticking to the textbook instead of focusing on reading and listening to compelling content. I can only imagine that years will continue to pass and he'll continue just asking why he doesn't understand multiple choice questions. What a painful sight.

I have a clear understanding for を but に is hazy for me. I don't get how it's used. I mean for me を is directed at the object while に is 'towards'?

に is used for direction and location and shit like that, so it's used with action verbs that show movement to somewhere like with 歩く or 走る or that show location of something like いる

just keep going and try to tackle specific examples instead of asking vague questions like "what does 'to' mean," because it can mean a lot

Nah, just the reading of the word itself and the meaning. You'll slowly get the individual kanji by seeing them pop up in multiple different words by context

What's the deal with the predictable response to sperg out whenever an user does something like post their handwriting? Time and time again you see these predictable responses and even sometimes arguments over how the handwriting isn't legible or whatnot. Have these anons had any experience with what natives have no problems with being able to read? Pic related is a good example that if you took the text and arranged it aa to appear written on something like paper with a pen, would cause the usual dull kneejerk responses. Why are anons quick to hold handwriting up to unrealistic standards of normality yet you don't see people sperging out over ever awkwardly typed post in Japanese in these threads; something that has a direct negative impact on the whole communication part of language.
