How do I start SIG?

Staying home sick from work today. I'll post my own plans for self improvement.

>cut plastic out of life to decrease xenoestrogen
>start buying bulk organic at the local coop
>training Olympic rings and acrobatics America ninja warrior style
>study game theory, strategy, and evolution to give my children the biggest advantages
>clean room, wash hands, and take showers more often
>buying Goodyear welted shoes
>wearing more linen
>practicing freeform guitar
>freeform keyboard

Far from a complete list, but those are the specific things I've done or have wanted to do.

>taking showers more often

showers fuck up your skin. would not recommend more than once a day and even that is not healthy actually.

Are mods deleting the threads?
Also I'm starting my first bible read, currently at Exodus.

If you mean how to start self improving, here are some tips:

>CLEAN YOUR ROOM
>focus on eating healthier and getting fit. Whether that means you have to lose fat or gain muscle, that will determine whether you need to eat more or less than your TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure). A normal human baseline TDEE is 2000 Calories/kcals per day, and that's without much movement. Try and exercise at least 3 times a week for an hour each. look into the Starting Strength program or just read the sticky on /fit/.
>Take up meditation to help be able to calm your mind and your self at will. Bringing inner peace to yourself will help you when the going gets tough.
>Take up reading subjects you are interested in or stories you want to hear. Reading books is a skill most of us are losing due to internet usage.
>Take up an artistic or artisan hobby, such as drawing, woodworking, gardening, or playing an instrument. Something to work your hands real good.
>Be more social and outgoing. Join a pickup league for your favorite sport or outdoor activity. Smile a bit at people who pass you on the street instead of immediately looking away. Stuff like that.

Of course, these are just my own personal guidelines, improve yourself however you see fit.

The optimal amount of showering is somewhere between once a day and once a week, but it will depend on how your body works. I shower weekly and no one has complained about me smelling yet (I used to take months between my showers back when I was an obese NEET, years ago, people complained about my stench all the time, I don't think anything is as embarrassing as that feeling when people say you stink)

Mods haven't moved or deleted /SIG/ in days. Makes me hopeful for the state of Sup Forums.

Stopped weekday-drinking last week. What a difference. So much energy, I wake up actually feeling rested, work is "fun" again. I never drank until hangover but up until lunch was always low energy.
Started working out again this week. Lost gains and put on fat the past year, as my priority after work was to pour drinks as quickly as I could when I got home.

Can't /SIG/ be a sticky?

this is something I need to start doing

thanks for this link user

Out of curiosity, why the emphasis on cleaning your room?

Thanks brother!

I've been growing onions/beets/potatos.
Basically a root farmer.
haha

How do I get over my disgust and bitterness for the world?

Working on quitting drinking, but I lost my job about a month and a half ago and the savings are starting to run out. I apply for jobs everyday, fuck, even have a masters degree in biomed, but the only jobs available are lab tech jobs washing test tubes for 11 dollars an hour.

Couldn't get into med school or PA school and now I got too much debt to even think about taking on more.

Sorry for the fucking blogpost, but I see all these people looking relatively happy, posting on social media, enjoying their lives with hobbies and vacations and I just don't know what I did wrong.

I stayed home sick today and yesterday. I was real sick, pounding headaches and basically a flu. Today the headaches are gone and I feel good enough to do some housework. Plan is:
- clean room
- take out trash/recycling
- do dishes
- make a few days worth of meals
- check budget
- read 50-100 pages of 'The Island'

Decluttering is freeing. You should not only literally clean your room, but do it within your mind and heart as well, remove the clutter that gunks up your progress as an successful human.

Anons should I drop my major STEM major if I don't really enjoy it? 2 years ago I decided to study maritime mechanical engineering, after graduating I would have no problems with finding job plus money is big. But I feel like its just not something I would like to do through life. I always loved languages, I learned Russian by myself, and I'm learning German now, I Thought about changing Uni and my major for linguistic, but competition is much higher, finding a job afterwords would be much difficult. What to do? I don't want to spend my life doing something I don't enjoy and I don't want to risk 2 years education for something that can be useless degree

Left my phone downstairs last night so I wouldn't sit on it all night. Ended up waking up at 4am feeling fully refreshed so read for an hour or so after I realised I wasn't getting back to sleep. Dropped off again at 7 and didn't wake up until about 12 though which made me late for work. Woops

So far I've:

1. Started OMAD + Low Carb
2. Nightly body weight exercise routine
3. Started reading No More Mr. Nice Guy (it's mostly bullshit but works)
4. Reduced weed intake

What I just can't do... Yet:
1. Fix my sleeping schedule
2. Nofap (this destroys my mood)
3. Quit videogames (literally my only type of entertainment except books)

We're all gon' make it!

get your degree it is an important social step, face it as yet another challenge. I have been there, you can do it.

Bump, cleaned my room and worked out all before noon today. What have you anons done?

I'm working on my degree, as well as I cleaned my room and went on a 3 hour bike ride this morning.

things ive started doing:
-nofap
-omad
-archery 3x instead of 2x a week
-bike to work
-going to church on sunday
-paying attention to my posture
-8 hours of sleep

Ive never felt better

Done: Quit smoking, reduced alcohol and sugar/junk food consumption, reading every day, going for a walk/jog every day.

Working on: Trying to stay away from porn/hentai, so far so good but my brain is doing it's hardest to tempt me back. "How could it hurt"? Someone remind me why it's bad, I can't even.

also ive started to learn finnish intensively
>tfw no time for shitposts

what is omad?

One meal a day

Finish what you start. Get your degree and get a job. Once you are comfortable financially, then you can branch out and pursue your interests. The world's not going anywhere.

Getting some good reading in over the past few days. What is everyone else reading?
Jiu jitsu is going well. Had some great rolls last night, landed a really tricky triangle, feels good man.

> What motivates you to self improve?
Building the ethnostate! Which reminds me, does anyone have a link to the /ESG/ discord? Missed out on the last thread. :(

Does anyone of you fine gentlemen have any tips on how to learn about cars? How they work, troubleshooting, making repairs etc. I understand that first hand experience is the best and I already have a car and have had some trouble with it forcing me to learn about it and make simple repairs, but i would like to build a total understanding of cars from the ground up if that makes sense? Maybe some good books or videos exist?

carglass repariert
carglass tauscht aus

It's bad because you are a slave, bro.
Your brain will find every excuse possibly to make you do it, it will try to persuade you at all costs. This, my friend, is the true serpent, the more crafty than any beast.
Don't do things that will lead you into watching porn, get away from here, bro.

First day of third week doing consistent workout/diet, only third day of doing my music practice exactly as scheduled, struggling with keeping up on college papers to any meaningful consistency. Homework's been the stress inducer as I've been scheduling it later in the day due to being afraid once I get it typed out and submitted I'll just open up that YouTube tab or video game of choice, but then being exhausted by nightfall. Been really tempted to get back on the bottle even though I know I don't have the money for it. /SIG/ heil my brothers, we shall not be their degenerate puppets.

Could go to a community college. Not sure how it is in Sweden but if that isn't possible you could get an old fixer and a repair book.

Check out ChrisFix and EricTheCarGuy on Youtube. Both are excellent channels. Chris focuses more on average repairs, while Eric goes a bit more in-depth with his videos.

good one

When i go outside/go out with friend(s) and when i return home i sometimes wonder why the fuck do i even waste time on porn/hentai.The thing i realised is that i feel fullfilled. And thats when i realised that porn and maybe even videogames are cheap distractions that trick your brain into thinking it has done something meaningfull and productive. And that's the thing you should avoid for the sake of your soul. You should be truthfull to yourself and see that when you want porn and videogames the things that you actually want are fullfiment and to be productive(for yours or someone elses sake). At least that's how it is for me.

Its not bad

>Smile a bit at people who pass you on the street
don't do that in poland user

What did YOU do today to improve your future?

>got a new haircut (something fashy)
>bought new shoes from the non-travelling merchants
>started heavily thinking about a topic for my master thesis and grabbed some literature; read through some literature and got a nice overview now.
>went for a big walk with my doggo to clear my mind
>limited vidya today to less than 1 hour (the electrical jew is poisoning your mind and lowering your motivation to do stuff)
>deleted my youth crush from the jewbook, because she kept crossing my mind. at first it felt bad, but feels good now. feel more powerful now.

Working on:
>not masterbaiting twice each day (it's hard as fuck when I am half asleep in the early morning)
>do more social stuff
>getting my skin back on track by eating healthy + drinking lots of water

Lord of the Rings is the true bible.
Gandalf died to save all of us.
He died and was resurrected on the third day.
This is actually how stupid you christ cucks sound.
Go do something more productive with your life then beveling in some book written bow low iq sand niggers that think bacon is evil.

Thanks bros, it's quite unsettling to see how this is so much harder to quit compared to smoking for example.

>something fashy
>probably got undercut like any other german turk

We're largely in the same boat. Weed is helping me fix my sleep scheduled though. As far as video games go I'm limiting myself to Minecraft so I can build and be creative while listining to audio books, and Eve Online because I'm a spreadsheet addicted autist that loves strategic sci-fi warfare.

Are you the guy from few threads back asking what to do with that Jewbook girl? If so, good that you managed to make the move. -user who told you to delete FB

stahlhelmschnitt, just as grandpa

It's so much harder to quit. Smoking took my parents 6 months, porn took me 3 years.

Worry not user, it's possible, but depending on how long/much you were addicted it'll take much longer.

Ah, yes, I remember you finnguy. Need to get more control of my own life again and freeing myself from the Zuck is a first good step

Polish people don't smile

noice

Stay with STEM.
Spend your first 5 years to earb a lot of DOSH.
Then you can live of your savings and study whatever you want.

>>focus on eating healthier
Cutting soda/pop helps out a lot
>Take up meditation to help be able to calm your mind and your self at will.
Whether meditation or somtimes prayer. Either or find time to find some place quiet and void of sound gives you time to think clearly and logically.
>Take up reading subjects you are interested in
I cannot stress this enough. Learning of old civilizations or just learning of survival is a good way to build self confidence
>Take up an artistic or artisan hobby
Usually I go to the shooting range or I just go to aquaponics farms.

Any resources on Study Habits? Doing a STEM degree with ROTC and a few physics classes are taking their toll, but I don't want to give up. I'm trying to keep alert by working out and drinking water, but I don't know what to do in terms of studying. I want to be able to learn outside of class and I would love some methods outside of note cards and reading the textbook.

Fucking this. I have a friend going through the most pathetic existential crisis right now solely because of his degenerate ideas on fulfillment. He's incredibly social, but only ends up getting stoned off his brain when he's with people. The vast majority of his personal time is normie video games and vape videos on YouTube. He feels like that's his escape from his depression and what makes I'm happy.

I've tried so hard to get him to see that it's his garbage, childish addictions that keep him feeling worthless day after day, but he outright refuses to attempt to better himself. He won't stop talking about how weed, vaping, and video games aren't addictive and claims there's no need to workout if he isn't going to do anything that requires being fit. AND he doesn't even know what possessions of his are under his bed!
Video games and (especially for me, I'm a struggling porn addict)porn are mental getaways from the activities that take effort but build a better human being. People like my friend indulge in these things focusing only on the physical, ignoring what mental and emotional patterns they're building.

Pic related is the shield of a city in the state where I live.
Haven't seen anything more SIG in quite some time:

>Two white males, with farming tools, two cows, a janaúba tree (where the city for its name from) in the middle of a pasture.

Beautiful.

I read some stuff about the addiction and how it builds up, moving from vanilla to some mild fetishes to some really weird shit and looking at the fetishes I've built up, I must say I'm quite deep. Never even noticed how far it went. Smoking was easy to quit cold turkey, this will be a whole different beast.

Use www.futureme.org to write an email to yourself in the future.
Write goals and deadlines so you can feel bad if you don't complete them

oh, intermittent fasting?

People do this daily? Seems extreme

shut up.

I think it's retarded, I just count calories

Doing a summary for each and every shit you are reading is not very efficient, imo. The drawback of a summary is that you inevitably leave out information that seem to be irrelevant. It's pretty hard to re-learn something solely from notes. Your textbook should be your note card. While reading, it often helps to talk to yourself like an autist. Use all your channels (visual, acustic, tactile) while learning!

Also concept mapping/flow chart helps a lot to organize your mind

Do i count. I just started radicalizing people around me. We even have official meetings now with 27 members in 4 months in local saloon. My goal is make Silesia white again and move all gypsy to one area. For future plans i want be part of local politician life which will be opposition to neomarxism which is infesting my region in last years thanks to West. Seceding from Western Bohemia/Prague may be even primal goal to preserve my way of life.

Thanks man, seems like good channels

A flow chart for logic would work really well for the class I'm struggling with, but because the entire class is taught based on summaries, and my last 2 years of physics were independent study, I feel like I have gaps. I'll work more towards looking at multiple resources at once, but I just need to improve efficient study habits in general.

any tips on lasting longer? also is jelqing worth doing? i am not obsessed with penis size, but i wouldn't mind going an extra mile to get some size and stamina.

I just started eve online, should I quit? I am studying for my masters and working. Was looking for a distraction, and thought EVE was pretty redpilled

no, it's fine. Just be sure you stay /fit/

Kek

Start lifting or martial arts, user.

Sounds a lot like how a certain German started his career

yeah I was an athlete in college (us), I stopped lifting weights due to pain and I'm doing the one punch man routine everyday (minus the 10K run thats just too much)

just one meal a day is pretty extreme. when I did intermittent fasting I did an 8 hour eating window from 11am to 7pm. had a large lunch at 11, a small snack (1/4 cup nuts or something similar) at around 3, and another large meal around 6-6:30. that worked better for me than just counting calories did (plus I didn't have to bother counting calories and I ate basically whatever homemade food I wanted) and I was never hungry after the first week or two that it took for my stomach to adjust to going 16 hours without food. I personally found that way easier than eating 4 small meals throughout the day. I was always hungry when I tried that

I'm not religious, my north mexican friend. I'm just reading it for cultural purposes.

>stopped my worst habbit /sip/ (drinking energy drink everyday)
>clean basement
>thinking about learning one asian language

Redpill me on alcohol, please.
Which kinds are healthy in moderation, and which kinds will destroy my self-improvement?

I tried chinese with a duolingo-like app. But I stopped after a few months, are there better ways to learn a language user?

Fuck off, eurofag, you just make up excuses to be a filthy pig

Jelqing is meme tier, dont waste your time. The only sure fire way to last longer is to work on it during sex. There is a specific point when you're reaching orgasm that if you can hold it back enough (panting and a manly grimace may be necessary) you'll find sensitivity recede somewhat and be good for another round. It takes a lot of practice and I'd recommend letting your wife know what you're focusing on so she doesn't keep trying to get you off when you're edging. You can practice this with masturbation to feel where the point you should start pulling back is, but in my experience its not the same mindset as when your actually having sex

>fascist farming

a day later, still makes me kek
just had some delicious supermarket tomatoes, better than the ones i ate from my garden on sunday

I think this user meant to respond to
Not me.

>people looking relatively happy, posting on social media

don't look at social media, most of those people are probably more miserable than you anyway.

get on unemployment if you qualify. looking for a job when your desperate is not a good position to be in. cut back your expenses, learn to cook, exercise, read make yourself a better candidate for employment and take this time to build a better foundation as you move into the next stage of your life.

hi beautiful ones
enjoying your role in the mice utopia?

Ordering Bagehot's 'The English Constitution'. Gonna learn about some parliamentary sovereignty and monarchal power.

I've got about £20 left in my buying budget (really this has been the biggest improvement I've made in terms of my finance), and I want to get something about economics so I can stop being a total brainlet about everything. Is Sowell's 'Basic Economics' actually good or is it just memes?

well, I think only taking some classes.

good job on quitting the carbohydrated jew

I read about an user that spoke like 6 languages, he said classes/apps are a waste of time and money

one beer is fine, the second one is bad
glass of vine is alright in the evening

Afternoon lads. My day so far
>off work today, minimal schoolwork
>woke up at 6
>made bed
>200 push-ups, 100 sit-ups
>banana for breakfast
>two hours of prep for meeting at 9:30
>drove new car(that I bought with side-hustle earnings)
>met with local restauranteur, sold werbsite/social media marketing package
>$1500 check
>only class of the day at 11:30
>came home at 1:30
>wrote essay
>chilling on Sup Forums for an hour
>going for a run
>taking a girl out to a really nice dinner, then going home to """watch a movie"""

Also,

>have completely cut out drugs of any kind
>only drink on occasion, never drunk just a buzz
>I'm from Ireland so I have built up a high alcohol tolerance from a young age
>only issue is no matter how successful, mature, and attractive I make myself out to be I can barely get a text back so this "date" tonight is rare, any advice for this?

life is pretty good lads, and I'm only 18

Red wine is actually good for you in small/moderate amounts every now and then. I guess you could say if you get drunk/wasted, you're drinking too much.

>just one meal a day is pretty extreme. when I did intermittent fasting I did an 8 hour eating window from 11am to 7pm

Isn't this just called skipping breakfast?

Waking up in a clean room improves mental health

There is no 'safe booze' for self improvement . You're going to build up a resistance and need more to feel as good no matter what. It's like asking what kind of ice cream is best in moderation. Sure technically some are better for you than others and in moderation you'll be fine as long as you don't drink impulsively (was a huge problem of mine) and control when you're going to drink and stick to that schedule so that it doesn't master you. If you find yourself not getting the same reward from drinking as you used to, shrug it off and take a break for a month to let your resistance wear down. Don't get prideful about it and decide it means you should start taking stronger and stronger drinks just to relax for an hour or two at night.

check out rsd nation they have a forum/community with great dating advice there mate

Just back from the gym boys.

It depends just on you, someone is good at studying by himself, someone needs a guide.

true, Ill check the threads in the future to see your progress! good luck mate!!

If you really don't want to be an engineer, drop out. I did aerospace engineering for 1 year and dropped out after I realized medicine (or becoming a doctor) is what I want to do in life.
Just imagine, what is it what you want to tell others you do? What is it what you want your grandchildren to remember you? And most importantly what is what makes you feel good after you come home and think about your daily work?
