Killua was unaware of Nen until Celestial Tower arc...

Killua was unaware of Nen until Celestial Tower arc. Then how does he recognize Zeno's Dragon Dive during Chimera Ant arc if he never saw it before?

Probably just a mistake on Togashi's part. The whole idea of nen being unknown to most people seems at least somewhat retconned by now.

Nen wasn't planned from the beginning.

>nen wasn't planned from the beginning
>3/4 of the series ends up about it

Sasuga Togashi.

Could be that he saw Zeno use it but had no idea what it was exactly. Or just Togashi being a hack.

In Asian country, grandfather always doting on their grandkids, maybe he told killua story about his dragons and shits.

He can recognize a fantastical ability and still not know it's origin. It's like a person witnessing some event in space. You can observe it, but it doesn't necessarily mean you know the process. No one really hides nen abilities, just the origin behind it.

Forgetting a tiny detail that doesn't affect the story in the slightest doesn't make him a hack.

Auras are invisible, but the products of transmutation hatsu are not necessarily so, I think. That aura is often transmuted into something tangible (Texture Surprise, anyone?), so that may be the case for Zeno's dragons.

We don't see enough non-nen users to really verify what's visible and what's not 90% of the time. All we can say for certain is that raw aura itself isn't visible, nor is anything that requires Gyo.

The only hint would be Bizeff, but I don't remember him saying anything related to Dragon's Dive.

He's probably just gay.

>tiny detail
>doesn't affect the story
Yes it does make him a hack. but I see you've got no standards.

I never got why this is so hard to believe. It's not like Zeno's ability hasn't extremely noticeable and characteristics effects on physical items as well.

Killua literally used nen abilities before knowing about nen, and you think it's weird he saw his family of assassins use it once or twice growing up?

>Killua literally used nen abilities before knowing about nen
1. Like what?
2. No, because if that was the case, Wing wouldn't have had to open up his pores.

Killua's needle fight against the ant guy was even worse.

He recognized it as a technique of that his grandfather used once before but never elaborated on. He probably assumed (or was told) he was too young to learn it thus never inquired how his grandfather was able to do it.

>metal detector in ngl entrance
>doesn't detect the needle inside killua's head

I read a theory that Killua felt Zeno using Dragon Dive before, just that he didn't understand what was going on. Now when Zeno used it during CA, Killua remembered that feeling from before, which is how he knew what ability Zeno was using.

Maybe it's not made of metal or was somehow hidden by Illumi's new.

It's a nen needle, you fucking idiot.

This is really the only explanation.

>It's a nen needle, you fucking idiot.

The niddles Illumi uses are real objects you disgusting speedreader chump

Proof?

You could argue that Illumi used nen to hide the needles, so that not even metal detectors could pick it up. That way Killua definitely wouldn't be able to find out about the needle.

I agree 100%

This is also the same reason that Hisoka should have revived as a vegetable because of being completely brain damaged due to not getting oxygen for more than 5-10 minutes.

>to not getting oxygen for more than 5-10 minutes.

People in real life didn't have brain damage after being clinically dead for 10 minutes, why should Hisoka be then?

That's a cute Machi OP.

So what does everyone think of the dub voices?

To me they're all great except Killua's.

typical shounen writing 2bh

HxH's people are implied to have stronger than average bodies anyway. Moreau can hold his breath for hours and fill entire churches with CO2 but I didn't see you complain about that then.

>being 5 yr old
>seing your grandpa doing something with his hands and suddenly flying
>yo granpa wus that
>it's called dragon dive
and bam, he knows the name

They've all grown on me.

What if dragon dive is a conjuration hatsu? That way, the attack is visible even if you know nothing about nen

manga

He never knew about nen, exceptional people can use it without knowing, like his hand modification to kill. Like Komugi's GunGi ability.

Its not impossible for normal people seeing some nen abilities

Remeber Kastro vs Hisoka. The people saw Kastro's clone

Same with Killua's lightning, it becomes visible to normal people

Why didn't netero call the zodiacs to fight the ants?

Why do machi and killua look the same

>2. No, because if that was the case, Wing wouldn't have had to open up his pores.

Geniuses can spontaneously learn nen abilities before having their pores opened. Gon learned Zetzu all by himself when hunting and fishing in Whale Island (and used it to take Hisoka's badge in the Hunter Exam), Komugi used her specialist nen to play Gungi and even placed a restriction on herself to empower it, etc.

He wanted the fun of fighting the king for himself, and both Morel and Knov are 2-star hunters to they are probably near Zodiac level.

Togashi accidentally drew the most attractive face for killua and couldn't make a better one for machi
