Tfw finally watched Angel Beats

>tfw finally watched Angel Beats

Why the fuck does everybody suck it's dick? The show was absolutely retarded. The only good thing about that shit show is Angel. Kanade best girl.

It's the standard overreaction to a emotionally manipulative anime series. Reddit/MAL falls for it every time, and calls it a masterpiece.

Shit like this disappoint me. Everyone recommends it and tells me I MUST watch it, etc etc etc, but then it turns out to be absolutely shit. I don't know what or who to trust anymore. Sup Forums has recommended me awful shit as well, it's not just the people I know.

I would replace Reddit/MAL with normalfags but yeah that's pretty much it.
>oh my god it's so tragic because that one character died
>1000/10 AOTY

>tfw finally watched Angel Beats
You new here OP?

You need yo learn how to spot potentially good anime without relying on advise from other people.

we all have one or two shows that 'everybody already watched' in our backlog
don't act like you're any different

>The only good thing about that shit show is Angel.
You're forgetting TK. And this girl was fun too.

>Touching Maeda crap
You should have known by the creator

There's nothing special with it. The plot feels forced for muh feels.

>shows have dicks

I like Yui.

She's a little slut tho.

Emotions aside, the show has an excellent intro. For me it's often what decides whether I will watch it or not. The first episode is paramount.

When the MC was talking to himself about how he thought it was strange how he was getting used to handling guns I thought he'd be some kind of crazed killer in life.
I'm disappointed by how it turned out.

Also, I don't know why youtubefags like the flying chair bit soo much. It wasn't even that funny.

>Why the fuck does everybody suck it's dick?
No one does this. Most people will tell you the show was bad. The rest will tell you it was terrible. Image related has existed since almost immediately after the show finished airing.

Maybe next time, don't get your recs from Animesuki, mr. newfriend.

>new because he hasn't watched some shitty anime you've wasted your time watching

Is this what retarded plebs actually believe? What a shame.

I think you may have some trouble with reading comprehension.

They cried at the very last part of the whole show and then consciously decided to dismiss all the utter bullshit that had transpired in the earlier episodes because the last scene made them cry.

Anything melodramatic will always get praised by normalfags.

>oh nooo he died thats so sad i cry so much best anime ever

Angel Beats could have been the anime of ages but for some reason they ended it with one season. Worst mistake ever made in anime. Why people suck its dick is beyond me. It was great until it ended prematurely and a premature ejaculation just wastes everyones time.

Angel Beats had only 1 good episode. Everything else was just a random, mish-mash mixture of forced dramas and forced humour.
Did I enjoy watching it? Yes, but that's because I have shit taste.

So tell me which was the one "good" episode you speak of son.

It's got flashy action, lolrandom humor, and muh feels all mixed together; and a lot of people who like all three will say that it manages to mix them together well.

Of course, there are a lot of people who like one element but hate another, and they'll tell you its shit because the parts they hate ruined it.

Contrast

>Of course, there are a lot of people who like one element but hate another, and they'll tell you its shit because the parts they hate ruined it.

My little user can't be this stupid

If the best chef in the world spent 7 years honing a recipe for liver and brussles sprouts in cream-of-mushroom, there will be tons of people who say it tastes like shit even if the people who like or don't mind the ingredients think its heavenly.

This anime is more like a bunch of artificial ingredients crammed into a dish that deludes plebs into thinking it's good.

>instead of sound reasoning or compelling evidence, here's a completely different example. That must mean I'm right.

>uses vague words like "a lot of people" and "people" to make yourself seem more credible

please stop

>saying the fucking obvious but wording it like you're trying to communicate something different
What point are you trying to prove?

It had a good soundtrack

>buys into "best girl" bullshit
>thinks he has a valid point to make

The point's already been made, but I really must say that I agree that your analogy doesn't really work.

>I'm bleeding, making me the victor
that's him

This.
Both vocal and nonvocal.

Because 3dept5u feelings.

I liked the direction it was going in when they were doing the "make people move on" part, and the episode with Yui was great.

But then they just made the rest of the cast dissapear in half a second.

It was too short and not funny.

>tho.
Learn to spell properly.

>This anime is more like a bunch of artificial ingredients crammed into a dish that deludes plebs into thinking it's good.
Heh, isn't everything though? A "masterpiece" is just a combination that isn't very common and/or is less sloppily done than most similar examples out there.

Hm? I never said I was right; in fact I assume that most things I say are fundamentally wrong. I'm philosophizing, after all.

>What point are you trying to prove?
That I'm not just idiot posting bullshit, I'm an idiot posting *philosophical* bullshit.

Yeah, I wouldn't make the comparison between the quality of this and something a master chef spent 7 years perfecting; there's a lot of room for improvement. I was just exaggerating to demonstrate something that would widely be considered good within a narrowly-defined class (liver & brussles sprouts in cream-of-mushroom dishes; or anime with mindless action, lolrandumb humor, and muh feels) might be widely looked down upon in a more broad catagory (food or anime in general).

>OP needs to tell everyone a show is shit because he didn't like it

>But then they just made the rest of the cast dissapear in half a second.
Yeah, really disappointed with that too. I mean, I get that there were probably budget limitations involved. And that writers wanted to keep most of the secondary cast around for the action part of the finale, but then wanted the 'graduation' ceremony to have just those who'd been well-developed... I just wish that there was an omake or something for during the part that Yuri was unconscious. But that would probably need a lot more screen time to develop those characters first, if it is to have any real impact.

At least the prequel adds some backstory for them. What I've been able to find translated seems to suggest that many of them were ready to move on long ago, and were only lingering because of Yuri.

It wasn't that bad. Pacing sucked, but I had fun.

Who the hell is "everybody"? It regularly gets shit on here so I don't know why you came to us to complain.

Since I'm more of the mindset that the positives outweigh the negatives rather than the other way around, I enjoyed the show quite a bit. The cast was charming and I enjoyed the comedy. I certainly would've preferred if the show was longer like it was going to be but for what it is, I really like it and I don't even care for the Maeda sad porn aspects too much outside of the Iwasawa and Yui episodes.

Too many undeveloped characters just for the sake of wacky slapstick comedy. Then they all disappear without waiting for Otonashi to wake up like a bunch of cunts.

At least the VNs are going to focus on their backstories, I guess.

I still cant forget TK
